Fig.3 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel eines Ein- etagentrockners.

Dryer for web-shaped dry goods The present invention relates to a dryer for web-shaped dry goods, with nozzle boxes arranged in one or more superimposed floors with nozzle openings along which the dry goods are guided.
In such previously known dryers, all nozzle openings are set transversely to the conveying direction of the material to be dried. This results in the considerable disadvantage that the material to be dried is dried unevenly from the center outwards and is also dried in strips.
This disadvantage is to be avoided by the dryer according to the invention in that the nozzle openings are arranged in successive sections alternately in the transverse and longitudinal position to the direction of movement of the items to be dried. In this way, the drying effect can be made more even.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 shows in a vertical longitudinal section the arrangement of nozzle openings in the transverse position to the direction of movement of the dry material.
FIG. 2 also shows, in a vertical longitudinal section, the arrangement of nozzle openings in the longitudinal position relative to the direction of movement of the drying material.
3 shows an embodiment of a single-tier dryer.
FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of a multi-tier dryer in longitudinal section, and FIG. 5 shows the same example in cross section. Fig. 1 shows how three nozzle openings T1 in a transverse position to the direction of movement of the dry material are above the loops.
2 shows the course of a nozzle opening T2 in the longitudinal position to the direction of movement of the drying material; the loop bag S forms the return flow channel of the air in both cases.
3 shows an arrangement in the case of a dryer with only one floor. The nozzle openings T1 in the transverse position and the nozzle opening T in the longitudinal position follow one another in groups one after the other.
4 and 5 show a dryer with four floors. Here the top floor has a nozzle opening T in a longitudinal position, the second top floor has nozzle openings T1 in a transverse position, etc., that is to say that the arrangement of the nozzle openings changes from one floor to the other. It doesn't matter which order you choose. Alternating sections of nozzle openings running in the transverse and longitudinal position to the direction of movement could also be provided on each level, as in FIG.
The compressed air for the nozzle openings is generated by fans, either by one fan or a series of fans on the same shaft for each floor, or by a single fan or fan series on one shaft for all floors. In the latter form, the dryer according to FIGS. 4 and 5 is equipped with a series of fans V on a common shaft.
The specifics of nozzle drying are characterized by the high speed at which the air or the flow of another gas is blown against the material to be dried. This peculiarity does not have any adverse effect on the dry material as long as it is transported over a single floor. However, this changes as soon as the short loops have arrived at the end of a floor and have to be transferred down to a following floor, with new short loops being formed on the following floor. The air that comes out

the last nozzle, the tissue inflates and pushes in a fluttering form to any unwanted side.
An additional aid must therefore be added, which cancels out the effect of the harmful air draft in the longitudinal direction and inevitably dictates its path for the dry material. For this purpose, a special guiding device is installed for the track and for the formation of new loops, as can be seen in FIG. The short loops come from the upper chain K, at the reversal point and are to be transferred to the lower chain K2. In front of the chain K9, where the bars of the transport chain rise from below, there is the turnstile D.
It has the effect that the length of fabric A lies in the slipstream of the turnstile D, i.e. outside the harmful air flow coming from the left. From the right, an air jet emerges from a nozzle L against the turnstile D and presses the dry goods into its recesses, whereby the short loop is pre-formed before it enters the chain K2. At the same time, the interaction of the turnstile strips and the air jet has the effect that the loops spread out on the rising bars without wrinkles.
The air flow in the nozzle L is generated either by a small fan, not shown, built in for the purpose, or it results from the fact that the higher pressure of the outside air compared to the lower air pressure at the housing heads compensates for the entry of air from the outside into the nozzle L and towards the turnstile D in the wake.
