Nozzle for a dust vacuum cleaner The present invention relates to a nozzle for a dust vacuum cleaner comprising two parts parallel to the direction of advance of the nozzle and resiliently mounted so as to protrude slightly from the underside of the nozzle, these pads each being integral with an arm whose end opposite the pad is mounted in the body of the nozzle.
The nozzle according to the present invention is characterized in that said arms each have a lug oriented towards the upper part of the body of the nozzle and resting on the latter and in that at least the arm of each pad is constituted made of a plastic material sufficiently elastic to allow a retraction movement of the pad in the body of the nozzle by tilting this pad around the point of contact of the lug on the upper part of the body of the nozzle when a certain pressure is exerted on this last.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the nozzle according to the invention. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of a nozzle. Fig. 2 is a transverse and central section of the nozzle of FIG. 1.
Figs. 3 and 4 are plan and elevation views of a skate.
The nozzle shown comprises, like that described in the main patent, an upper part 1 and a lower part 2, the latter fitting into the first and being fixed by screws 3.
The squeegee also comprises an articulation formed by a connecting piece 4, allowing the connection of a suction pipe to the squeegee, as well as combs 5 freely mounted in housings 6. All the other elements of the squeegee are mounted and function as in the nozzle described in the main patent, except for the pads 7.
The two shoes 7 of the nozzle shown are each secured to a slightly curved arm 8 terminated by an axis 9. Each of these axes is intended to be mounted in a housing formed by half in parts 1 and 2. These axes 9 do not pivot. not in their housings as was the case for the pivots 7 and 8 of the nozzle described in the main patent. In fact, in the nozzle shown, the arm 8 of each pad has a lug 10 oriented towards the upper part 1 of the nozzle and resting on a boss 11 that this part 1 has.
It will immediately be understood that, if the material used for the arms 8 is sufficiently elastic, the pads 7 may, when pressure is exerted on them, be driven by a retraction movement in the upper part 1, by pivoting around the point of support of the lug 10 on its boss 11.
In this way, when the nozzle is mounted on the vacuum cleaner and this vacuum cleaner is pushed in front of you, the pads are erased under the effect of the pressure exerted on the vacuum cleaner and under the latter's own weight; in this case, the nozzle sucks up the dust; when, on the other hand, the vacuum cleaner is drawn towards you, the pads come out, resuming the normal position of rest and the nozzle acts as a thread collector.
To obtain the desired elasticity of the arms. 8, these, as well as moreover the pads 7 with which they are normally obtained in one piece, will advantageously be made of a plastic material of the polyamide class.
