Flashlight upper part The claim of the main patent describes a flashlight upper part with a switching head intended to accommodate the bulb socket or the bulb socket and rotatably arranged in this upper part, to which at least one contact spring also arranged in this upper part reaches, the lower part consisting entirely of insulating material Switching head has at least one opening through which the contact spring occurs at a certain angular position of the switching head in order to directly contact the bulb socket or the bulb socket in a conductive manner.
According to the present invention, a pocket lamp top of this type is characterized in that the switch head has two openings which are arranged in the longer sides of a part of the switch head having the shape of a rectangular square, the other sides of which are shorter than the diameter of the bulb socket or the Pear socket, so that this or this protrudes through the openings in order to touch the contact spring in the certain angular position of the switching head, while the shorter sides of the square part form a detent for the rest position of the contact spring.
The accompanying drawing illustrates an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. 1 shows a section through the flashlight upper part body with the switch head inserted; 2 shows a view from below into the upper part of the pocket lamp according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows a section through the switching head.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a flashlight upper part body made of insulating material, for example made of plastic, which has a circular opening 2 in the middle, which is used to receive a switching head 3. This switch head, which is also made of plastic, has an upper part 20, the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the opening 2 in the torch upper part body, so that this part rests on the body 2 when the switch head with a cylindrical central part 21 , the outer diameter of which corresponds to the opening 2, is inserted into it. The switching head used in this way is freely rotatably supported in the opening 2, which serves as a bearing.
A square part 22 with a rectangular cross-section adjoins the cylindrical part 21 of the switch head, when the switch head is inserted, beyond the opening 2. A socket 24 for a light bulb 4 is inserted into an axial bore in the switching head 3, which partially extends from the cylindrical part 21 into the square part 22.
The shorter sides of the square part 22 are slightly shorter than the outer diameter of the socket 24, so that the end of this socket protruding into the square part protrudes slightly on the longer sides of the square part 22 with the parts 24a, as best shown in FIG. 2 is. A smaller bore 25 connects the free end of the square part 22 with the screwed into the socket 24 pear 4, wherein a protruding into this bore and fixed therein contact part 26 via a compression spring 27, the central contact part 5 of the incandescent pear 4 contacts.
The light bulb 4 inserted into the switch head according to FIG. 3 is thus supplied for one pole via the contact part 26 and for the other pole via the parts of the bulb socket 24 protruding on opposite sides of the square part 22. In the left part of the body 1 in 1, a sheet metal strip 16 is fastened by means of a rivet 28, the free end of which is designed such that it touches one of the battery contact springs with a tab 17 when the upper part of the torch is inserted into the lower part of the torch (not shown).
In an eyelet 15, which is formed in the sheet metal strip 16, the web of a contact spring 6 in the form of a U-shaped steel wire is ge superimposed. The two free ends 30 of the contact spring are clamped into the inner wall of the body 1. The arrangement is such that when the switching head as shown in Fig. 3 is set in the body 1, the two legs of the contact spring on both sides of the square part 22 come into contact with the protruding parts 24a of the bulb socket 24. If the switching head is rotated by <B> 90 '</B> by hand, the legs of the contact spring come to rest against the two sides of the square part on which the socket 24 does not protrude.
The electrical connection from the tab 17 to the light bulb is thus interrupted. With this rotation of the switch head by <B> 90 '</B>, the contact spring 6 is also deformed by the edges of the square part, so that the switch head forms a switch with clear on and off positions. A ring 31 glued onto the square part 22 at this stage of manufacture results in a guide for the legs of the contact spring 6 with the cylindrical part 21 of the switching head.
In addition, since the outer diameter of the ring 31 exceeds that of the cylindrical part 21, axial displacements of the switching head in the body 1, which could lead to contact interruptions during operation, are prevented. On the right side of the body 1 is similar to the left side by means of a rivet 32, a sheet metal strip 33 is attached, one end of which is forked and engages in an annular groove 34 in the contact part 26, while the other end forms a tab 35, like the Tab 17 when inserted into the flashlight lower part the other pole of the battery with the center contact part 5 of the bulb 4 connects.
The switch head could of course also be implemented without the socket 24, in which case a threaded hole could be provided directly in the cylindrical part 21 and partly in the square part 22, into which the light bulb can be screwed so that side parts of the bulb base perform corresponding functions for parts 24a.
The sheet metal strip 33 could also be omitted and the flashlight designed so that one pole of its battery directly touches the contact part 26.
The switching head is expediently made at least in part from a material that contains luminous material or at least covered in the upper part with luminous material. This measure makes it easier to find the flashlight in the dark.
