Die Skalen<I>a</I> sind z.
Arrangement for the automatic and precise displacement of a workpiece The need for the precise displacement of a workpiece is often evident in various industries, especially in precision machines. This is e.g. B. the case with jig drilling machines, where these shifts are in the order of magnitude of meters with the precision of a few microns.
The known apparatus of this type can only be operated by specially trained personnel and are not automatic.
According to the subject matter of the present invention, a quick and automatic displacement of any heavy workpiece with any accuracy is to be achieved in a convenient manner. The commissioning with the help of simple organs, such as. B. calibrated scales, who accomplished the. The accuracy achieved is independent of the skills of the operator.
The invention relates to an arrangement for the automatic and accurate displacement of a work piece in which organs for measuring the displacement and organs for controlling this displacement are used, these measuring elements translating the displacement into suitable units, the number of which they count immediately, and that the measuring elements contain means which can be set at the beginning in order to influence said control elements from a certain received number of units, the whole being designed in such a way that the slowing down and then the stopping of the piece are effected one after the other.
In the drawing, an arrangement is shown as an embodiment of the invention for a teaching drilling machine, in which the table is driven by an electric motor.
Fig. 1 shows schematically the assembly of the arrangement and the movable table, while in Fig. 2 a partial diagram of an implementation of a counter with high speed is shown.
In Fig. 1, 1 means the table to be moved, 2 a threaded spindle driven by an electric motor 3 by means of a transmission 4, a nut 5 firmly connected to the table 1 moves on the spindle 2. The motor is run via a switch 7 with push buttons and stop connected to the power source 6. The table moves on slide rails not shown in the drawing.
The measuring elements contain an apparatus 8, wel cher the rotational movement of the spindle 2, d. H. the longitudinal movement of the table 1 in counting units carries over, and an apparatus 9, which converts these units into electrical pulses, and two counters 10 and 11, which count these pulses.
The apparatus 8 consists here, for. B. from a Trom mel, which is firmly attached to the spindle 2 and the circumference is provided with grooves which are exactly the same and evenly distributed among each other. The counting unit is then given by the width of a groove and that of a tooth, measured on the circumference of said drum.
The apparatus 9 contains an inductance A, which is shown in dotted lines and in which a high-frequency current flows. The circumference of the drum 8 be found immediately in front of this inductance A, wel = before changes every time a groove comes instead of a tooth and vice versa. The changes in the inductance are then converted into voltage pulses in the apparatus 9 by means of known means. The terminals B and C of the pulse counters 10 and 11 are connected in parallel to the apparatus 9. One of these pulse counters, e.g. B.
Counter 10 gives a command to slow down in one of its positions and counter 11 gives the stop command in another position.
The controls of the table 1 take the same to hold before when he has moved over the desired length ge. They contain an apparatus 12 for slowing down as a function of a relay 13 and an apparatus 14 for stopping as a function of a relay 15. The relays 13 and 15 are connected to the counters 10 and 11, respectively. So that they can give the above-mentioned commands, these counting organs must additionally contain another organ that can directly or indirectly put the relays 13 and 15 into action and contains adjustable means that cause the said organs to act as soon as the number of received pulses has reached the desired value.
According to the number of pulses proportional to the counting units to be measured; H. Corresponding to the displacement of the table 1, the aforementioned adjustable means contain a multiple and appropriately divided scale in Längeneinhei th, which allows the operator to quickly set the value of the displacement and for which the counters 10 and 11 should give the control commands. These scales are labeled <I> a, b </I> in counter 10 and <I> a, b, c, d, </I> e in counter 11. The scales <I> a </I> are e.g.
B. from zero to ten decimeters, scale b from zero to ten centimeters, scale c from zero to ten millimeters, scale d from zero to ten tenths of a millimeter, scale e from zero to ten hundredths of a millimeter. These classifications require a suitable choice of counting units and a corresponding number of pulses, so that an integer number of pulses corresponds to hundredths of a millimeter if this size corresponds to the desired accuracy. For the accuracy that is necessary for stopping, only the two aforementioned scales <I> a </I> and <I> b </I> are provided for the counter 10 for deceleration.
The operation of the arrangement is as follows: The operator who moves the table 1 from its original position by e.g. B. would like to move 485.72 millimeters, sets the scales of the counter 11 to this value. For the choice of the value of the displacement from which the deceleration is to begin, it will always be possible to give a simple instruction to take into account on the one hand the mass and speed of table 1 and on the other hand the nature of the deceleration apparatus 12 . For shifts z. B. between 400 and 600 millimeters, the slowdown should take place at about 9011/9 of the desired displacement. In this case the operator will set the counter 10 to 43 centimeters. It is then sufficient to press the barrel button on switch 7.
The motor 3 starts and reaches its normal speed. When the table 1 has passed through 43 centimeters, the slowing device 12 first comes into operation. The table is stopped at the command of the counter 11 when it has traversed the desired 485.72 millimeters.
For example, FIG. 2 shows the partial diagram of an implementation of the counters 10 and 11, which contain gas discharge tubes, each with ten cathodes and one anode. Incidentally, to simplify the drawing, only four cathodes per tube and only two tubes 20 and 50 are shown.
Each meter contains five of these tubes. Each of the ten cathodes 21, 22, 23, 24 <B> ... </B> of the tube 20 is connected to a resistor 31, 32, 33, 34 <B> ... </B>. A common earth line connects the other ends of all of these resistors, as does the negative pole of a direct current source 18, the positive pole of which is connected to the anode 19 of the tube 20 via a suitable resistor 18a. Said cathodes are also correspondingly connected to the ten cathodes of a changeover switch 41 with ten positions. The movable wiper of the latter direct is connected to one of the terminals of a rectifier 42.
In the same way, the ten cathodes 51, 52, 53, 54 <B> ... </B> of the tube 50 are connected to the resistors 61, 62, 63, 64 <B> ... </B>, as well with an order switch 71 whose movable slider is connected to one of the terminals of a rectifier 72. The free ends of the resistors 61, 62, 63, 64 connected is. The two tubes 20 and 50 are coupled by a capacitor 43 lying directly between the cathode 30 of the first and the anode 49 of the second. The cathode is e.g. B. assumed as the last of the counter 10.
When the anode 19 receives a pulse which was transmitted through the preceding tube, a discharge takes place between it and the cathode 21; When a second pulse comes to this anode, the discharge goes over to the cathode 22 and so on up to the cathode 30. At this moment the corresponding pulse goes to the anode 49 of the tube 50, in which a discharge takes place between this anode 49 and the cathode 51 forms. The tube 50 thus counts the units of the immediately higher level than those counted by the tube 20. In other words, in the example above, tube 20 registers centimeters and tube 50 registers decimeters. .
The organ with the help of which these tubes control the relay 13, which acts on the slowing device 12, is a thyratron 80, whose an odenkreis contains the magnetic coil of said relay 13 and a direct current source 81, and its grid circuit of a resistor 82 and a Direct current source 83 exists, the negative pole of which is connected to ground. In addition, each of the other connections of the rectifiers 42 and 72 is directly connected to the grid of said thyratron. This can only ignite if its grid is strongly positive in relation to its cathode.
The rectifiers 42 and 72 are connected so that they have their lowest resistance for currents from the grid of the thyratron to the switches 41 and 71, that is to say short-circuit the grid circuit mentioned when the tubes 20 and 50 are not working. If, on the contrary, a discharge occurs in these, a current flows through one of the resistors 31, 32 and through one of the resistors 61, 62. . ., so that at the connections of the rectifiers 42 and 72 a counter voltage to that of the source 83 appears by means of the changeover switches 41 and 71. Under these conditions, the rectifier is neutralized, the thyratron ignites and the relay 13 commands the slowing down of the motor 3. The order switches 41 and 71 are each provided with a scale from zero to ten.
These are z. B. the aforementioned scales <I> b </I> and <I> a. </I> In the functional example described above, let the movable slider of the switch 41 on contact 3, which is connected to the cathode 23, and that of the switch 71 is placed on the contact 4 connected to the cathode 54.
It is easy to see that this counting arrangement is used as an example only. The counters 10 and 11 could th be combined into a single apparatus and the tubes with multiple cathodes could be replaced by other types of tubes. Several successive deceleration commands could also be provided and, for counting at low speeds, the electronic counters could be replaced by mechanical counters. The drum 8 and the inductance A of the pulse generator 9 form an electromagnetic counting system. This system can be replaced by a magnetic, capacitive, optical system, or by a simple switch with brushes.
A magnetic film can be used as a magnetic counting system, on which the counting units are magnetically recorded beforehand. This film can be attached to the periphery of the drum 8 and the records can be removed with a known pick-up head. It is also possible to apply the film (or a wire) to the frame of the machine while the removal head, which is fixed to the table 1, moves with respect to the said film. An arrangement measuring wavelengths between a fixed point on the machine and a point on the table can be used as an optical counting system.
The relative displacement of these two points, which is brought about by a suitable optical system, causes the interference fringes to pass in front of a photocell, the equivalent metric length of which is known, provided the illumination is carried out by monochromatic light.
In order to prevent the nut 5 from moving the entire mass of the table 1, it can be detached from this table and any connection provided between them, such as e.g. B. a touch probe or a contact. Likewise, a correction of the error caused by the screw spindle 2, by moving the apparatus 9 or at least its inductance A relative to the drum 8 by an angle depending on the position of the nut 5 on this spindle 2 ge can be made, for. B. using a cam according to known mechanical methods.
