Description

Electrode arrangement for high-frequency drying of pasta It has already been proposed to dry pasta with the aid of electrical high-frequency, where other heat sources can also participate in the drying process, e.g. B. thermal radiation or thermal convection. The invention relates to a special arrangement of electrodes for high-frequency drying of hanging long dough, such as B.

Spaghetti or macaroni. It is characterized in that at least one high-frequency electrode is plate-shaped and is arranged in a lying position.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 of the drawing. Fig. 1 shows schematically an arrangement with two horizon tal plate electrodes and Fig.3 shows a schematic structure of a continuous high-frequency dryer for long pasta.

In FIG. 1, the leads 2 and 3 lead from the high-frequency generator 1 to the high-frequency electrodes 4 and 5, both of which are designed as essentially horizontal plates. In the space between the two electrodes, the long pasta 7 hang from the rods 6 made of non-conductive material. When the high-frequency field is switched on, the pasta is heated and dried as a result of the known dielectric heat generation.

In FIG. 2, the supply line 3 leads from the high-frequency generator 1 to the electrode 5, which is designed as an essentially horizontal plate. The metal rods 6a, which are electrically connected to one another by the supply line system 2 and are fed by the high-frequency generator 1, are arranged above it. In this arrangement, the electrode formed from the rods 6a is grounded, which is indicated at 8. The long pasta 7 to be dried hang on the rods. The continuous long pasta dryer shown schematically in FIG. 3 is formed by the housing 9.

It contains the electrode 4, which is designed as a horizontal plate and which is fed by the high-frequency generator 1 through the piping system 2 at different locations because of its great length. The supply lines are passed through the housing 9 with the aid of the isolators 10. The lower high-frequency electrode 5, which is also designed as a horizontal plate, is fed by the high-frequency generator 1 through the feed line 3, which is earthed at 8. The long pasta 7 slowly migrates through the dryer while hanging from the rods 6 made of non-conductive material.

The rods 6 are moved by a chain, which is indicated by the dash-dotted line 11, through the dryer. You are loaded at the opening 12 with a mechanism (not shown) or by hand and unloaded at the opening 13 in a similar manner. A favorable climate for drying can be maintained in this dryer.

Of course, the electrodes do not have to be designed as precisely horizontal, flat plates. Under certain circumstances, they can be inclined up to 30 against the horizontal in order to be able to vary the distance between the electrodes, or they can also be designed as a non-flat surface that is curved according to a power function higher than the first order.
