3 des Gestellrahmens be festigt.
Fig. 7).
Means for adjusting the height of the foot end of the mattress frame of a bed Beds with adjustable mattress frames have already been proposed. However, these beds were built in a relatively complex manner.
The invention aims to create a simple device with which the foot end of the mattress frame of a bed can be raised and lowered with respect to the frame and which can easily be attached to conventional beds.
The device according to the invention is characterized by at least one rail which is fastened in the vicinity of the foot end of one of these frames, by at least one lever provided with a support member, which in the vicinity of the foot end of the other frame in a vertical plane is pivotably mounted that the mattress frame is supported on the bed frame via rail and support member and that when the lever is pivoted, the support member moves along the rail, the height of the foot end of the mattress frame being adjusted, and by a locking device,
which is intended to hold the lever in at least two positions.
In the accompanying drawings, beds are provided that are provided with two embodiments of the device according to the invention.
1 shows a perspective view of a bed with the first exemplary embodiment with a horizontal mattress frame, FIG. 2 shows a view analogous to FIG. 1 with the mattress frame raised at its foot end, FIG. 3 shows a side view of the bed with a lever, in one end position, FIG 4 shows a view of the bed from the foot side, FIG. 5 shows a side view corresponding to part of FIG. 3, with the lever in the other end position,
FIGS. 6 to 8 correspond to FIGS. 3 to 5 with the second embodiment of the invention.
The figures are drawn schematically, with z. B. in Fig. 1 and 2, the bed frame only by dashed lines ge, and the mattress frame is indicated by a single strong line, and each individual parts are viewed as transparent.
The z. B. made of wood frame 1 has a head part 1, a foot part 2 and two long sides 3 and 4. The mattress frame 5 rests near its head end in a well-known ter way on two attached to the longitudinal sides 3 and 4 of the frame angles 6. The Ma tratzenrahmen z. B. be in a known manner with springs, not shown, made of steel: be panned.
In the vicinity of the foot end of the mattress frame 5, two rails 7 and 8 are provided on the longitudinal sides, which are based on two rollers 9 and 10 from. The roller 9 is rotatably attached to the end of a vorsprin ing part 11 of the lever 12, which is pivotably mounted in a vertical plane by means of the fitting 13 on the longitudinal side 4 of the frame. The roller 10, however, is rotatably attached to the end of the lever 14, which is also pivoted ge by means of the loading 15 on the longitudinal side 3 of the gesture frame in a vertical plane. The two levers 12 and 14 are connected by the axis 16 so that they can be pivoted together about this axis.
Only the lever 12 is provided with a handle which is designed as a flexible hand strap 17. The lever 14 is directed so that the rollers 9 and 10 are in exactly the same position with respect to the axis 16; In other words, the connecting line of the two roller centers is parallel to the pivot axis of the lever. Two stops 18 and 19 are provided on the fitting 13, against which the lever 12 can strike. Two stops 20 and 21 are provided on the fitting 15, against which the lever 14 can strike, in such a way that the levers 12 and 14 each come into contact with the stops 18 and 20 or 19 and 21 at the same time.
When the lever 12 has been brought into the position according to FIGS. 1 and 5 by means of the loop 17 in the direction of the arrow 22, in which the stops 19 and 21 are effective, the rollers 9 and 10 are in their lowest position. This situation is seen before that the mattress frame 3 is then just horizontal.
If you now pivot the lever 12 in the direction of arrow 23 in the position according to FIGS. 2 and 3, in which the stops 18 and 20 are effective, the rollers are in their highest position, and the foot end of the mattress frame is higher than his headboard. The two end positions of the lever 12 are preferably provided so that the wrist strap 17 is the same height in both positions, in such a way that it is near the upper edge of the longitudinal side 4 of the frame and can thus be comfortably grasped.
When the levers 12 and 14 are pivoted, the rollers 9 and 10 roll on the rails 7 and 8 while the rails are lifted. So that there is no longitudinal displacement of the Matratzenrah mens with respect to the gesture frame, locking pieces 24 are attached near its lower end to the same, each of which has two stops 25, which are located on both sides of the corresponding angle piece 6.
3 and 4, the raised position of the mattress frame is shown in full lines and the hori zontal position in dashed lines, while the double arrows indicate the two directions of pivoting of the mattress frame.
A pivotable frame 26 is preferably attached to the mattress frame, which z. B. just if covered with metal springs and used to set the height of the head. The adjustment mechanism required for this can be of any known type and is therefore not provided.
The embodiment shown can easily be modified in various ways. So you can z. B. replace the rollers with fixed lugs that slide on the rails instead of rolling on them. Furthermore, you could store the two levers instead of on the long sides of the frame on its foot part and attach the rails to the foot side of the mattress frame accordingly.
The levers would then be pivotable about axes that are parallel to one another in the same vertical plane and, instead of being connected by the common axis, are articulated to one another by a rod. The ge desired purpose can in principle also be achieved by attaching only one rail in the middle of the foot side of the mattress frame and providing a single lever accordingly; however, in order to achieve greater stability, it will generally be preferred to use two rails and two levers.
The facilities described allow in a very simple manner to achieve the desired inclination with ge raised feet in many cases to rest or sleep. If one wishes to adjust the inclination of this inclination, z. B. the stops 18 and 20 on the fittings 13 and 15 are adjustable.
It is also possible to see locking devices before which allow the levers 12 and 14 to be held not only in two end positions, but also in several intermediate positions.
Another, particularly advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention will now be explained below with reference to FIGS.
In this case, the rails 7 'and 8' are not fastened to the longitudinal sides of the mattress frame, but rather to the longitudinal sides 4 and 3 of the frame be. The levers 12 'and 14', however, are rotatably supported on the longitudinal sides of the mattress frame 5, by means of the fittings 13 'and 15'. On Be strike 13 'two stops 18' and 19 'are again provided, but in contrast to the attacks 18 and 19 are designed as round pins.
The axis by which the levers 12 'and 14' are connected is variable in length in that it consists of two telescopically telescoping parts 16 'and 16 "(see FIG. 7). This makes it possible to use the same device for The part 16 'can, for example, be provided with a longitudinal groove (not shown) into which the screw 27 engages, so that the axle parts 16' and 16 "must rotate with one another. Of course, after adapting the axis length to the mattress frame width, the parts 16 'and 16 "can also be firmly connected to one another in any desired manner.
At the lower ends of the levers 12 ', 14' rollers 9 ', 10' are attached, which rest on the rails 7 ', 8' so that the mattress frame is again supported on the frame via the rails and the rollers that serve as supporting elements .
When the handle 17 is actuated, both levers 12 'and 14' are pivoted together again and the mattress frame 5 is raised or lowered, with the rollers 9 ', 10' rolling on the rails 7 ', 8'.
