Control device on a supercharged internal combustion engine The present invention relates to a control device on a supercharged internal combustion engine, and is in particular for gas turbine-driven machines. Charge-yeblowers determined.
It consists in the fact that in a line carrying air there is provided a pressure regulating element which can be adjusted from the outside for a certain speed, and when it is actuated, the setting of the fuel supply quantity and the setting of the discharge valve are changed, and that 1litte 1 are provided in order to increase the speed once set when the load # of the:
Zotors automatically to keep constant.
In a line carrying charge air, at least one pressure control point which can be set externally to a certain speed of the engine to be maintained can be provided, which is connected to at least one pneumatic device that responds to pressure changes generated by it, which automatically controls the promotion of the Fuel pump acts,
and that the same or a second similarly actuated pneumatic supply system automatically regulates the passage of the charge air. A control point can be provided in a separate subchannel of the charge air line for the passage of the charge air.
In Otto engines, the pressure control point can act on a pneumatic device to regulate the fuel nozzle. In the following some Ausfüh approximately examples of the present invention are described with reference to the schematic representations contained in the accompanying drawings. In all exemplary embodiments, an exhaust gas turbine-driven supercharger is provided.
Fig.l. shows an embodiment in which the organs for regulating the charging of air and the amount of fuel are shown in connection with pressure conditions in the inlet line to the fan.
Fig.2 shows the establishment of the regulating organs in connection with the. Outlet line for the air compressed by the fan.
FIG. 2a is a cross section taken along line I-I of FIG.
3 shows the device of the regulating organs again in connection with the outlet line of the air compressed in the front fan in another embodiment.
Fig. 4 shows. the regulatory organs for the establishment of gasoline engines.
Fig. 1 shows an arrangement of the regulating device in the intake 3 in front of the Ge blower B. The intake has two channels. A valve acting as a pressure control valve is installed in a Venturi tube 2 of the one channel. A linkage 4 is. used to set the pressure regulating member 1, consisting of the Venturi tube and the pressure regulating flap. A pneumatic regulator with diaphragm block 10 on the fuel pump 14 of the engine is connected to a line 12 with the Venturi tube 2 and with a line 10a with the.
Connected atmosphere. The connection make these lines 10a and 12 are in front of or behind a membrane that is connected to the control rod 6. The prevailing pressure in pipe 12 acts on one side of the membrane and the external pressure in line 10a on the other. In the other channel of the intake nozzle a locking flap 20 is installed, this is operated by means of a linkage 15 of the control rod or opened or closed ge.
By pressure changes in the Venturi tube 2 and in the line 12, the control rod 6 of the fuel pump 14 is actuated by the membrane of the block 10, so that the engine is supplied with an amount of fuel that corresponds to the ge desired power output at the selected engine speed. In order to supply the necessary fuel and associated air quantity to the engine when the load changes, a flap 20 is provided in the other channel of the intake pipe. When the load on the motor increases, the control rod 6 is fully moved in the direction, while the flap 20 with the linkage 15 is set. A damper 7 ensures that vibrations in the control rack are suppressed.
For different loads on the engine, the pressure control flap 1 is set for the required speed at sector S, after which the flap 20 is actuated automatically.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the regulating device in which a Venturi tube, which is divided into two channels, is installed in a non-subdivided pressure port 17 after the supercharger 8. The sub-channels are separated from one another by a wall 18 and contain the flaps 1 'and 20' (FIG. 2a), which correspond functionally to the flaps 1 and 20 of FIG.
To operate the flap 1, a foot lever linkage 4 'is provided under spring action in this case, instead of an adjustment device with various adjustment levels, as is shown in FIG. The control flap 20 'is actuated by the rod 15' of the membrane 5 'of its own membrane block 5 in this version. The membrane block 5 is verbun with a line 19 to the pressure port 17 the.
The pressure prevailing in this line is used to influence the linkage 15 ', which is connected to the membrane 5' and is used to directly adjust the flap 20 '; in order to avoid vibrations in this system, a damper 7 'is provided. The size ratio of the two flaps 1 'and 20' is different depending on the loading height.
The membrane block 10 is only used to adjust the control rod 6 of the injection pump 1-1. The line 12 is. on the Venturi tube 2 ', which contains the flap 1' and the line 1.1 is the same as the line 19 on the pressure port. 17 connected. The diaphragm of the block 10 is influenced by the Drttek difference in lines 11 and 12 and the control rod of the diaphragm movement is adjusted accordingly.
The desired speed is set with the flap 1 'acting as a pressure control flap and the charge air corresponding to the load size is set with the control flap 20'; same as that in one: the embodiment according to FIG. 1 with the flaps 1 and 20 is going on. The embodiment according to FIG. 1 is simpler than that according to FIG. 1, because only one pipe 1.7 is required for the supercharging air.
The flap 1 could also be used with a linkage 1 according to FIG. 2 shown in FIG. 1, one or the other embodiment being more advantageous depending on the use of the motor.
If the load on the engine is greater, the speed of the engine decreases, whereupon the negative pressure in the line 12 and in front of the membrane of the block 10 see more reduced than in the line 11 and after the mem brane of the block 10, so that the control rod 6 of the fuel pump 14 actuated by the diaphragm spring 10b in the direction of increased fuel supply, the exhaust turbine-driven fan delivers more charge air and at the same time the reduced engine speed is readjusted.
Due to the increased boost pressure in the nozzle 17 and the line 19, which arises from the higher loading of the engine, the mem brane 5 'is moved in the block 5 against the spring force 5 "in the direction in which the flap 20' over the linkage 15 'opens for a larger passage of the charge air. At the highest load, the flap is fully open.
Fig. 3 shows an arrangement of the regulating device without a throttle valve 1. There is only one control valve 20 "in the Venturi 2" IN ANY. The fuel supply to the. The engine is regulated by the pressure difference prevailing in the charge air line 17 and in the venturi 2 ″ via lines 11 and 12 from the membrane in the block 10, which is connected to the control rod 6. As in FIG. 2, a membrane block 5 is used to operate the Control flap 20 "provided. In this case, however, an additional actuation of the control flap is provided with the foot lever 15 ″ which is under spring pressure.
As shown in this figure, the foot lever acts on the housing of the diaphragm block 5 and the linkage 21 which is used to actuate the flap 20 ". The connection of the line 19 to the diaphragm block is therefore via a flexible connection 19 '. To limit the foot lever movement stops 24 and 25 are provided. If the flap 20 ″ is opened more, the pressure difference between the lines 11 and 12 becomes smaller, as a result of which the control rod moves in the full direction.
With a certain position of the lever 15 "can be opened by increasing the blower pressure, the flap 20" more and when the blower pressure becomes smaller. If the lever 15 ″ is moved against the stop 24, the flap 20 ″ is rotated into the position intended for the smallest passage, which corresponds to the lowest engine speed. Any change in the position of the foot lever 75 "produces a reduction or increase in the fuel supply according to the associated smaller or larger air passage, which is determined by the flap 20".
4 shows a regulating device which is arranged in the "intake port 3" 'of a blower driven by an exhaust gas turbine for a supercharged carburetor engine. In the intake port in front of the fan, the throttle cone 1 is located in the venturi 2 "' and the fuel feed nozzle 9 "'of the carburetor.
The throttle cone 1 "'is from the outside by means of hand or foot lever via linkage 4"', 21 "'and the front pressure in the line 19"' to the membrane block 5 "'on the membrane provided in it un indirectly in front of the rack Z and the Gear R is automatically actuated. The diaphragm block 10 "'is connected on the one hand to the line 12"' to the venturi 2 "'and on the other hand to the outside air via the line 11"'. The fuel throttle 23 is connected via linkage 22 "' "'actuated, which stops the fuel supply to nozzle 9"'.
Be actuation of the regulating linkage 4 "'from the outside via the housing of the diaphragm block 5"' and the linkage 21 "'the throttle cone 1"' is moved. This changes the pressure in the line 12 "', whereby the membrane connected to the linkage 22"' and thus the fuel supply to the nozzle 9 "'is influenced. The system is adjusted to the desired idling speed of the engine. When the throttle cone 1" is actuated. The engine speed is regulated 'with the linkage 4' ''. Controlled by the varying negative pressure in the line 12 '' ', the fuel required for this is fed to the nozzle 9' '' of the carburetor or the engine.
When the engine is loaded, the speed initially drops slightly, whereby the pressure difference compared to the atmosphere in the venturi 2 "'is reduced. This reduced pressure difference causes the diaphragm block 11"' to be actuated in the direction of increased fuel supply Shifting the linkage 22 "'and opening the fuel nozzle 23"'. As a result of this increased fuel supply and the increased engine load, the temperature in front of the turbine and thus the speed of the turbo blower and at the same time the boost pressure in the pipe 17 increase.
As a result of this increase in pressure, the diaphragm block 5 "'is actuated via line 19"', specifically in such a way that the venturi cone 1 "'is opened via linkage 21"', that is to say the cross section. in the venturi 2 "'becomes larger. This results in an increase in the amount of intake air and, at the same time, a corresponding increase in the amount of fuel, by reducing the pressure difference in the venturi 2" via line 12 "' meniary block 11 <B> '</B>, Linkage 22 "', the nozzle 23"' is opened further.
If. the load required by the engine is reached, a certain boost pressure is set in the turbocharger, whereby the diaphragm block 5 "'is placed in a certain rest position, with which the opening cross-section in the venturi 2"' also reaches a certain value.
Because the amount of intake air has become inconstant, the pressure difference between the negative pressure in the venturi 2 "'and the atmosphere also becomes constant, as a result of which the nozzle 23"' releases a constant amount of fuel via the diaphragm block 11 "". As a result, the amount of fuel and air corresponding to the load on the engine and the associated supercharging pressure are achieved, whereby a steady state occurs.
Keeping the speed constant. With this increased load, it occurs that the actuating lever 4 ″ remains at rest, so that the venturi cone 1 ″ and thus the air as well as the nozzle 23 ... and so that the fuel supply remains unchanged. On the other hand, the load required of the engine (by the driven machines such as the vehicle, generator, pump, etc.) dictates a certain mean pressure in the engine cylinders. The engine in turn supplies exhaust gases at a certain pressure and temperature to the exhaust gas turbine. As a result, a certain pressure corresponding to the constant speed is set on the turbo charger.
This means that there are no longer any variables that could cause a change in the operating condition of the entire unit, which means that the operating condition remains constant. A prerequisite is, of course, that the regulation supplies are coordinated beforehand.
The fan pressure is kept constant while the speed and load on the motor remain constant. However, if the load condition changes, the regulating process is automatically set in motion again.
