Aminen abgeleitete Carb- amidreste.
' <I>Beispiel 2</I>
EMI0003.0034

Process for the preparation of metallizable monoazo dyes In the patent specification No. 312191 excellent mono azo dyes are described by very good Liehteehtheit of the chromized gray to olive _N @ 'ollfarbenungen, which by coupling 2-acylamino-6-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfonic acids with solehen diazotized 6-Acv lamino-2-aniino-l-oxy-benzenes are obtained,
which are substituted in the 4-position of the benzene ring by substituents customary in azo dyes, but preferably by so-called negative, that is to say electron-attracting groups.
Subject of the present patent is. a process for the preparation of metallizable monoazo dyes of the general formula
EMI0001.0022
where R1 and R2 are carbacyl radicals and _X is hydrogen, characterized in that a diazotized 6-aylamino-2-atiiitio-1-oxybenzene, which contains a further substituent in the 4-position of the benzene ring,
with a 1-coupling \? - nty-aeylaminonaphthalene-monosulfonic acid of the formula
EMI0001.0037
where R2 and X have the meaning given above, couples.
As substituents in the 4-position of the benzene ring, in addition to, for example, halogen, alky 1 and alkoxy groups, because of the better coupling capacity of the diazo compounds, in particular those that are commonly referred to as negative, i.e. groups
which in the unexcited state exert an attractive induction influence on the pair of binding electrons between the 4-position carbon atom of the benzene ring and the substituent in the 4-position.
Suitable negative substituents are, for example, the nitro, cyano, keto, sulfonyl, sulfonic acid, sulfonic acid ester, sulfonic acid amide, including the sulfonic acid amide, the carboxyl, carboxylic acid ester and the organically substituted on nitrogen Carboxamide groups, including the derivatives of the latter which are organically substituted on nitrogen.
In water non-ionic groups are to be preferred to the acidic, water-solubilizing groups.
As residues of the acids of carbon or as carbacyl residues in the present process, the acyl residues of organic carboxylic acids and carbonic acid half-ester residues or
Carbamic acid residues in question, for example, the residues of saturated or unsaturated, unsubstituted or substituted fatty acids, araliphatic, hydrocyclic, aromatic-isoeyclic and heteroeyclic carboxylic acids, which may still contain customary substituents, and preferably never derived from their alcohols carbalkoxy radicals and, if appropriate, also from low molecular weight alcohols larene aliphatic. sec.
Carbamide residues derived from amines. Examples include the residues of acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid, chloroacetic acid, methoxyacetic acid, ss- bromopropionic acid, dimethylacrylic acid, cyclohexanecarboxylic acid, phenylacetic acid, phenoxyacetic acid, benzoic acid, chlorobenzoic acid,
Furan-2-carboxylic acid and the carbonic acid half ester residues derived from methyl, ethyl, propyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxyethyl alcohol, as well as the carbamic acid residues derived from dimethyl or diethylamine. In general it is favorable
if an aliphatic carbacyl radical has no more than 5 carbon atoms. Preference is given to the acetyl radical in the diazo component and the carbonic acid half-ester radicals of methyl and ethyl alcohol in the coupling component.
If the diazo components used according to the invention are not already known, they are easily obtained from the 4-substituted 2-amino-1-oxybenzene compounds by aylation of the amino group, nitration and reduction of the nitro to the amino group. Preferred diazo components are 6-acetylamino-1-nitro-2-amino-1-oxybenzene,
6-acetylamino-4-acetyl-1-amino-1-oxybenzene, 6-acetylamino-4-alkyisulfonyl-2-amino-1-oxybenzenes and 6-acetylamino 2-amino-1 -ox @ -benzene - @ - sulfonic acid dialkylamides.
Coupling components which can be used according to the invention are obtained by the action of acid halides or chloro ants acidic acid alkyl esters on the aqueous solutions of the alkali metal salts of 2-oxy-aminonaphthalene-monosulfonic acids, in the present case for example 1-amino-6-oxynaphthalene -8-sulfonic acid and 1-amino-7-oxynaphthalene-4- or -5-sulfonic acids, in the presence of mineral acid blunting agents,
such as sodium acetate, until the primary amino group disappears.
The Dia.zotierung takes place as usual in mineral acid, aqueous solution or suspension with sodium nitrite in the cold and the coupling in alkaline solution, if necessary in the presence of the coupling accelerating tertiary nitrogen bases, such as pyridine, pieoline, dimethyl or diethylethanolamine , Triethanolamine.
The monoazo dyes according to the invention are obtained in the form of their water-soluble alkali salts as dark powders, which dye the wool from acid dyebaths in bordeaux red to red-violet shades which, depending on the composition, are chromed into gray to olive green, very genuine, especially outstandingly lent-like dyes pass over.
In the following examples, parts mean unless otherwise stated. is, parts by weight; the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius. Parts by weight have the same ratio to parts by volume as kilograms to liters.
EMI0003.0001
21.1 parts of 6-acetylamino-4-nitro-2-amino-l-osybenzene are stirred in 200 parts of water with 20 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and diazotized at 5-7 by adding dropwise a solution of 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in 20 parts of water. The diazo suspension is then neutralized by the addition of sodium carbonate until the rineral acid reaction disappears and it is mixed at 0-5 with a cold solution which is obtained by dissolving 29,
7 parts of 1-carbomethoxy-amino-6-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfonic acid with 6 parts of sodium carbonate in 150 parts of water with the addition of a further 8 parts of Natriumbica.rbonat, 15 parts of ammonia water 252; has produced a cooled solution. The dye formed immediately precipitates as a black powder and the diazo compound has disappeared after 20 hours.
The mixture is stirred for a few hours at room temperature and the dye is filtered off and dried. It is obtained in the form of the sodium salt as a black powder, which is in water with a green blue color, with the addition of dilute acids with blue-red and in concentrated sulfuric acid with. red paint dissolves. Wool is dyed from an acidic bath in red-violet tones, which are transformed into very real, especially extremely lightfast, greenish-gray tones after chrome-plating.
Very similar dyes are obtained if, in the above example, the coupling component is replaced by 28.1 parts of 1-acetylamino or 3'1.1 parts of 1-carbethoxyamino-6-oxynaphthalate-8-sulfonic acid or by 34.1 parts or.
35.5 parts of 6'-oxynaphthyl (1 ') - methoxyäthyl- or -äthoxyäthylurethan-8'-sulfonic acid he sets. '<I> Example 2 </I>
EMI0003.0034
24.4 parts of 6-acetylamino-4-methylsttlfony 1 2-amino-1-oxyl) enzene are water and 30 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid in 200 parts of ice water at 0 by adding dropwise a solution of 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in 20 parts Water diazo- tated. The yellow diazo suspension is neutralized with sodium carbonate until
that Congo red paper is no longer blued. Then she will with. the coupling solution prepared by dissolving 29.7 parts of 1-carbethoxyamino-7-oxynaphthaline-4-sulfonic acid with 6 parts of sodium carbonate in 200 parts of water with the addition of 50 parts of pyridine and 20 parts of 25% ammonia water is mixed at 0 . The coupling proceeds slowly and the solution turns blue.
The mixture is stirred for 10 hours at 0-10 and then for a further 24 hours at 20 and, after coupling is complete, the dye is separated out as a dark powder by slowly dropping in a saturated sodium chloride solution. The dark, bronzing precipitate is filtered off, washed well with 10% sodium chloride solution and dried.
The dye dissolves in the form of the sodium salt in water with a blue color and dyes the wool from an acidic bath in red-violet tones, which change into very lightfast, red-tinged gray tones through subsequent chrome plating.
Very similar dyes are obtained if, in the above example, 25.8 parts of 6-acetylamino-4-ethylsulfonyl-2-amino-1-oxybenzene are used as the diazo component and 28.3 parts of 1-carbomethoxyamino-7 are used instead of the coupling component used above - oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid used.
A greenish-gray, chromized wool dye is obtained if the 1-carbethoxyamino-7-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid in the above example is replaced by equal parts of the corresponding 5-sulfonic acid.
Dyeing can be done as follows: A dyebath which contains, in 3000 parts of water, 1.5 parts of the dye according to Example 2, first paragraph, 10 parts of Glauber's salt and 3 parts of 40% acetic acid is placed at a temperature of 40 to 50 with 100 parts pre-wetted wool, takes 15 minutes to cook and cooks. half an hour with the addition of 1 part sulfuric acid after 15 minutes to exhaust the bath. Then 0.8 parts of Kaliumehromat are added and continue for 40 minutes. The wine-red, acidic wool color takes on a neutral gray hue, which is very real and, in particular, very lightened.
Similar gray colorations are obtained with the other dyes of Example 2, while the dyes of Example 1 give greenish gray, also excellent lightfast, chromium-containing wool dyeings.
The dyes in the table below have been prepared using methods similar to those described in Examples 1 and 2, he has been kept. They also dye the wool using the post-chrome plating method in very real, especially very lightfast shades:
