Fig. 1 und 4 zeigen Einzelheiten des Kulierkammes 9.
Process for the production of a needle bed and a needle bed produced afterwards The needle guides (needle channels) and the tooth flank of the knock-off comb of knitting machines are almost. consistently milled from solid steel plates, which results in very expensive operations. With cheaper Hausstriek- rnasehinen resp. Hand knitting machines, a cheaper version is necessary, so that ver different ways to build a cheap needle bed were taken. But until now. still with unsatisfactory results.
The subject matter of the present invention is a novel method for the produc- tion of a needle bed for knitting machines and handheld knitting machines. which is characterized by the fact that dividing tabs are punched out of a cutting sheet, bent open and inserted into channels of a needle guide member and that the tooth gap base of a tooth flank is laid under the continuous cut-off edge: of a profile piece. The invention also relates to a needle bed produced by this method.
In one embodiment of the invention is. before seen to form a strip of sheet steel, in which the division according to narrow spaces between .den teeth to be formed are punched out so that the teeth are sufficiently wide. are to be embossed. Not necessary because of the circular embossing of the punched teeth. then every sehl: cleaning-and-cleaning work on the tooth flank. This just needs to be polished a little.
Various such exemplary embodiments are explained with reference to the drawing, and FIG. 1 shows a cross section through a needle bed, FIG. 2 shows a detail of the base plate with screwed-on coulier comb or
Tooth flank, FIGS. 3 and 5 details of the needle guide organ, FIG. 4 a part of the coulier comb on an enlarged scale, FIG. 6 a detail of the base plate seen from the side, enlarged, FIG. 7 a detail of the base plate seen from above.
In Fig. 1, 1 means the base plate. In this a number of tabs 1a are provided in the desired pitch for each channel of the needle guide organ. These tabs, from now on called dividing tabs, are formed in the base plate by punching out and bending open on one side.
These dividing tabs la serve to receive the pre-pressed needle guide organ 2 and at the same time should determine the division of the bed and absorb the lateral pressure. FIGS. 6 and 7 show a partially enlarged section of a base plate 1. It is specifically shown how the tabs are staggered, that is to say offset from one another. Fig. 5 shows how the needle guide ling 2, which is pre-stamped from thin material, is placed over the dividing tab 1a. Holes are provided for the screws 7 to pass through.
It is envisaged that the downwardly open channels of the organ 2, in which the dividing tabs engage, are coated with a sound-absorbing and sticky compound before the assembly. This mass can be injected in liquid form and should solidify either by cooling or by chemical bonding. By painting out the cavities between the dividing tabs 1a, resonance is to be prevented when working and a compact bond with the base plate is achieved. will. The guide rails are with through screws 7 between the needle channels through with the chassis 6 screwed ver.
This achieves the necessary stability. An end profile is placed over the lower end of the needle guide channels, which firmly connects the needle guides to the base plate and the chassis. The channels of the XadelfühiLngsorgans 2 can be formed contiguously transversely from steel strip or from other suitable material. Likewise, the processing of the needle guide member made of polyamides can be injected or pressed.
The accuracy of the division and the lateral hold of the needle guides is therefore determined by the pitch tabs of the base plate set up. However, these can be formed very precisely and rationally with a precise punching tool.
1 and 4 show details of the groove comb 9. It is provided that the teeth with the tooth base and the knockdown edge are carried out on two different parts, namely the knockdown edge as a continuous profile edge 10 and the tooth flank 9 as groove combs screwed in partial pieces to the profile edge.
There are already various knitting devices known in which a tooth flank is used with a set of pins or punched teeth. However, the production is too complicated, since a lot of plastering work as well as grinding and polishing is required. As a rule, the tooth base also serves as a knock-off edge, but the punched edges of the tooth base and the teeth can almost not be ground and polished enough for first-class goods to be knitted on them. can be.
In order to avoid this expensive work, provision is now made to stamp the teeth 9a round, as shown in FIG. 4, and to bend them at 9d so that the tooth base 9c comes to lie under the smooth knock-off edge 10 during 3ioning, so that the tooth base cannot be touched by the falling goods when knitting The separate Abehlagkante 10 seen here before can easily be used as a smooth profile bar in this way.
as shown in Fig. 1 and 3, or be formed out as an angled edge of the base plate, as shown in FIG. The threads run very easily over the now round, embossed teeth with a smooth surface when knitting and when knitting right-hand knitting, the stitches run on the continuously smooth chipping edge and touch the concealed teeth Not Kulierkammes.
For this purpose, the tooth roots 9b are stamped a little further into the sheet metal strip, so that the tooth base 9c protrudes through the beads 9b, as illustrated in FIGS. 1-4. What is important is the round embossing of the teeth, since this creates a smooth coulier base, as well as the turning at 9d so that the tooth base is covered by the cut-off edge 10.
