5' be rühren.
(D.#T-z.s) .7 z. a$ (Hütte, Band' 2, 27. Aufl., S. 747).
Blower of the multi-cell design The subject of the invention is a C-blower of the multi-cell design, which is equipped with working slides that are movable in at least approximately radial grooves of a rotor drum.
It has shown that fans with this design only work economically and reliably at relatively low speeds. This is essentially due to the fact that the working slides moved back and forth in the radial or approximately radial grooves of the rotor drum cause large friction losses.
The consequence of the fact that a fan of the design described can only be operated reasonably economically at a moderately high speed - a maximum of about \ _ '000 to 2'50 (1 revolution per minute - is that the size of the fan is relatively large.
To remedy this disadvantage, it has already been proposed that the centrifugal force acting on the working slide slides that can be displaced in the grooves of the rotor drum should be substantially reduced by setting the working slide radially and dimensioned so wide that they take up the entire diameter of the bore, in which you can see the rotor drum turning.
If e denotes the eccentricity of the rotor drum in the bore of the stator housing, in this case the center of gravity of each working slide only revolves in a circle with diameter e, so that the centrifugal force acting on the working slide is significantly reduced, which allows significantly higher speeds .
Various proposals have become known in order to enable the work slides, which are designed in one piece and which cross each other and have corresponding recesses so as not to interfere with one another, to move in the prescribed form within the bore of the stator housing. A particularly simple proposal is to 'execute the bore of the stator housing accordingly' the individual layers of the continuous working slide during a vol len rotation of the rotor drum.
This degree of bore curve is technically relatively easy to produce. It represents a circular conchoid (see Automobiltechnische Zeitschrift, 36th year, 1933, issue 23, page 580 ff.).
Other proposals lead the bore of the stator housing to be circular and see a rotatably mounted second drum in the bore of the stator housing, which is set in rotation by the actual rotor drum offset by the eccentricity e relative to the center of the stator housing bore becomes,
while the intersecting working slides in the second drum perform relative movements and the conveyed air is passed through openings provided in the second drum, which correspond to corresponding openings for inlet and outlet in the stator housing it has become possible to use rotary piston blowers of the multi-cell design with about.
twice as high speed to operate. Still is. However, the state of the art so far achieved is unsatisfactory, for the following reasons: The power expenditure required for the minute standard cubic meter of pressure p atü is still too high with the proposals that have become known up to now and is increasing. especially with increasing speed.
In principle, high air or gas output rates per minute can also be achieved with: the previously known rotary piston blowers of the multi-cell type without great eccentricity and thus. Without a relatively high performance expenditure per cubic meter conveyed and, corresponding to the value of the eccentricity e, large external dimensions of the stator housing cannot be achieved.
The rotary piston blower of the single-shaft multi-cell design has so far not been able to establish itself, especially in the design as a flushing and charging blower for two- and four-stroke internal combustion engines, because its outer dimensions at the relatively low speeds of the blower, which are an acceptable value for the Ensure the required power requirement for each ms / min conveyed, be greater than with conventional air conveying machines, which without internal compression,
but also work without power-consuming, back and forth and strong frictional forces under thrown working slide.
According to the present invention, a high-speed and internal compression, relatively smooth-running fan is to be created, which has a high degree of delivery and a favorable power requirement per m3 / min conveyed at the various back pressures and also has small external dimensions at high Air delivery quantities.
The invention consists in the fact that the fan has at least two rotor drums which work against a common suction opening and a common opening opening, which rotate in opposite directions and which are arranged in parallel axes to form a double unit in a common stator housing, with one shaft end of a rotor drum being used to drive is in operative connection with one shaft end of the other rotor drum.
The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment.
1 shows a section through a blower along line B-B of FIG. 2 and FIG. 2 shows a section through the same blower along line 1.1 of FIG.
It denote: 1 a with. Cooling fins made of armored fan housing, preferably made of light metal,?. a left and 3 a right housing cover and -1 a right end cover. In the housing 1, two cylinder liners 5 and 5 'made of gray cast iron or steel are cast or shrunk.
In the stator housing 1 or in the covers 1 and 3, two rotor drums 6, 6 'of diameter d-2e are rotatably mounted parallel to one another at a distance A from one another.
The upper rotor drum 6 and the lower rotor drum 6 'are preferably made of a type of light metal with particularly good conductive properties and' low 'thermal expansion, for example an aluminum-silicon alloy, as used for highly stressed light metal pistons in internal combustion engines.
In the embodiment, each Läu fertrommel 6 or 6 'consists of four segments 7, 8, 9, 10 (Fig.l). The four segments of length L are releasably connected by screws at the end faces each with a flange of a shaft end 11 and 12 '(FIG. 2). The shaft end 11 is the drive shaft end and the shaft end 12 is the output shaft end for a drive shaft end 1? ' the lower runner drum 6 '. A gear pair 13, 1.1 is connected between the shaft ends 12 and 12 '. The gear ratio of the gear unit is 1: 1.
The shaft end 11 ′ drives an oil pump 15. This can also be driven by the upper shaft end 12. The drive of the entire fan can be made from the shaft end 12 'instead of the shaft end 11, depending on the request or purpose. Accordingly, the Sehmieröl pump 15 set up for a certain direction of rotation can be implemented.
The flanges of the shaft ends can, in a manner known per se, together with the associated housing covers 2 or 31 form labyrinthine-like seals (FIG. 2).
In the exemplary embodiment, each rotor drum 6 or ss' contains two one-piece, H-shaped, vertically crossing working slides via 1ss, 17, which are preferably made of Invar steel and have sliding shoes 18 made of a particularly suitable sliding material at their ends. Accordingly, the cylinder liners -5 and 5 'have firmly inserted, finely turned or ge ground guide rings 5 "at the ends,
the inside shaped like a circular cone. are. The diameter of the sliding points of the sliding blocks 18 is coordinated so that the working slide with their longitudinal edges do not touch the cylinder bore of the bushings 5 or 5 'at any point. The cylinder liners 5 and 5 'have air inlet openings 19 and 19' and air outlet openings 20 and 20 '.
All of these openings are preferably circular or oval in shape and slightly offset from one another in terms of height in order to generate the least possible air intake and ejection devices. By offsetting the control edges, the crescent-shaped work room can be changed in a known manner according to desire and purpose.
A common suction opening in the stator housing 1 is denoted by 21 and a common ejection opening in the stator housing is denoted by 22. In front of the suction opening 21, an air filter (not shown) with a silencer is placed, while the ejection opening 22 blows out directly into the room to be loaded.
The housing of the blower can be connected with an inflow bore 2'3 and an outflow bore 24 to a lubricating oil circuit of the main machine, for example to the circulating lubrication of a diesel engine or a piston compressor which the fan charges. For this purpose the stator housing has longitudinal bores 25 and 26.
For the lubrication of the working slide, the special lubricating oil pump 15 can instead be arranged, which promotes in the oil bores 25 and 26, from which the Zylin derbüchsen '5 and 5' can be easily reached via a space 27 without any oil line to be laid outside . The bores 23 and '2'1 are closed after the cover spaces have been filled with oil if the main engine has no lubricating oil circulation.
Notwithstanding - from the drawn exemplary embodiment, the rotor drums @ 6 and 6 'instead of individual' segments 7, 8, 9, 10 also consist of one piece in which the approximately radially positioned working slide is made of 'steel or' plastic, for example hard tissue or hard paper, move back and forth in slots in a known manner during drum rotation and the bore of the sleeves 5 and 5 'is made circular. In this case, the insert rings 5 ″ can be circular both inside and outside and are taken along by the working slide during the drum rotation, that is to say serve as so-called races in a known manner.
According to the embodiment is. The blower is designed as a double unit, in which the favorable flow course is achieved, (ass this faster running blower can deliver as large a quantity of air as the blower of known construction, although its frontal area is hardly half as large as this If E is the size of the eccentricity of the rotor drum in the bore of diameter D, n / min is the speed of the rotor drum, L is the length of the rotor drum, z the number of working slides and s their thickness,
As is well known, with a delivery rate AH of the blower, the air volume Q - 2.E.L. (D. # T-z.s) .7 z. a $ (Hütte, Volume '2, 27th ed., p. 747). Now the stator diameter D and the eccentricity.
E similarly reduced to d = i / 2 D, e = 1 / a E, the new fan has an end face that is smaller than half the end face of the old fan, while the delivery quantity Q is The length of the rotor drum L, which has remained constant, remains at least the same when the speed is doubled from 7z to \? rz due to the degree of delivery, which increases sharply with increasing speed.
The double rotary piston blower provides a large rotor drum length L, a low sickle height IL = 2e and a short distance between the two rotor drums in order to achieve the highest possible degree of delivery with the smallest possible dimensions.
To increase the final compression pressure, double units can be connected one behind the other by following the discharge opening 2-2 of the first double unit (FIGS. 1 and 1) with the interposition of a plate which corrects the differences in cross-section, following the suction opening 21 is connected to the double unit,
so that with two double units connected one behind the other, a blower with. two pressure levels arise. The same applies mutatis mutandis when several double units are connected in series.
It is. It is then possible to use such a high-speed rotary piston blower to overcome counter pressures of up to 3 atmospheres and to use it for supercharging diesel engines. However, the fan can also be used to charge substantially larger or substantially slower running piston or rotary compressors.
