Sweeping machine for roadways The present invention relates to a motor-driven, mobile Kehrma machine for roadways such as qtrassen, take-off runways of aircraft, etc.
Sweepers for take-off runways etc. have already become known in which these lanes are cleaned using brushes. In the event of icing, however, these brushes cannot remove the ice layer, so that the cleaning effect, for example for flight operations with jet planes, is inadequate.
The present invention seeks to remedy this part of the Naeli, and it consists in the fact that the exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine opens into the air circulation of the sweeper. This ensures that the exhaust heat is fed into the circulating air, which makes it possible to thaw and thaw a relatively thin layer of ice located on the Fahrbalin. then suck off the water.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the subject invention. The drawing shows a side view of the sweeper. This consists of a commercial truck 1 which is provided with a closed container 2 for the debris. A brush 3 is. Arranged transversely to the roadway and extends roughly the entire width of the truck. This brush 3 is driven by a motor and rotates in the opposite direction of rotation relative to the vehicle wheels. Around the brush 3 there is a hood 7 to which connecting supports 4 are connected.
By means of a ventilation fan 5, air is drawn directly above the roadway via the connecting supports 4 and the hood 7. sucked on, which is then passed into the container 2. In this, the air speed drops so that the water, ice, snow and dirt particles that are carried away drop into the container 2 as a result of the loss of speed. The air is fed back to the intake duct 6 of the ventilation fan - if necessary through a filter. The air is thus in circulation via the ventilation fan 5, the container 2 and the hood 7.
The ventilation fan 5 is driven by its own internal combustion engine 8. However, it would also be conceivable for this fan to be set in rotation from the vehicle engine.
The exhaust pipe of the internal combustion engine 8 is inserted into the intake duct of the blower, so that the exhaust gases get into the circulating air. Since these exhaust gases are relatively warm, they are in a position to at most. thawing ice sheets on the road surface or at least removing them from the surface. Since these exhaust gases only have a humidity of around 10%, they are able to absorb a significant amount of air humidity and thus that.
To influence the drying of the road surface.
At very low temperatures, where, for example, the ice layer is melted by means of thawing devices, the preheated circulating air serves mainly to prevent the absorbed water in the sedimentation tank itself from freezing.
It would also be conceivable that in addition to the exhaust gases from the fan drive motor, the exhaust gases from the vehicle engine would also be introduced into the air circulation.
The exhaust gases can be introduced into the circulating air circuit at any point; However, as already mentioned, it is useful to let the exhaust pipe open into the intake duct of the ventila tion blower.
If there is no need to heat the circulating air, a flap can be used to direct the exhaust gases outside.
