Detachable corner connection of two elements abutting at right angles The object of the present invention is a detachable corner connection of two elements abutting each other at right angles.
It is known, flat walls abutting each other at right angles, e.g. B. of furniture, by means of so-called box screws, which are screwed into holes in the two walls, to be detachably connected to one another. Ge = compared to the fixed connection, e.g. B. Verlei men the walls at the butt joint, although this type of connection has the advantage of solvability, so that the walls can be dismantled and reassembled at any time; Such screws have the disadvantage that they are guided directly through the walls. and loosen up over time.
In addition, they do not contribute anything to the stiffening of the wall structure, so that additional stiffening strips, e.g. B. so-called corner blocks, must be attached to the joint of the walls sen.
In contrast, the releasable Eekver- connection according to the invention has a metallic connecting plate, the base of which: crack is a right-angled triangle, and which pushes the two elements at their joint at right angles to the joint. and between the legs of at least one metallic connecting profile with a U-shaped cross-section protrudes, which legs are congruent trapezoids with a base formed by the profile web,
and one in the plane of the connecting plate on the two connecting links. attacking head screw with clamping nut, through which the connec tion plate is pulled into the connecting profile to the two elements between rule vertically from. the side edges of the connecting plate protruding away and against the outer surface of at least one element, and:
which rest against the inner surfaces of the two elements to clamp the leg edges of the connecting profile.
Since the two connecting links lie perpendicular to the abutment edge of the two elements over the entire length of their side edges against the two elements, a stiff, rigidly angled structure is obtained.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing; it shows: Fig. 1.
the walls to be connected in section, transverse to the butt joint, FIG. 2 shows a section analogous to FIG. 1 with a connecting plate in place, FIG. 3 shows a side view of FIG. Fig. 4 is a section analogous to Fig. 1, the connecting links in their active position showing, and Fig. 5, a view similar to Fig. 3 with the foot attached to one wall by the connecting plate.
In the example shown, it is do a detachable corner connection of two at right angles abutting flat wooden walls 1, 2, z. B. a side wall and the bottom of wooden furniture. The two walls 1, 2 are engaged with one another at the butt joint by tongue and groove in a known manner. A slot 3 leading through both walls is provided transversely to the butt joint of the wall structure 1, 2.
The first connecting member 4 is inserted through this slot 3 from the outside. The connecting link 4 is a metallic plate, the outline of which is an isosceles, -s, right triangle.
On the two side edges of the plate 4 are alternately on the one and the other side bent tabs 4ca see easily, which rest against the outer surface of the two walls 1, 2 (Figure 3). The plate 4 has a rectangular recess 5, from the edges of which run perpendicular to the plate base two opposing tongues 5a protrude.
The part of the plate 4 protruding into the corner space between the two walls 1, 2 protrudes between the two legs of a metallic connecting profile 6 with a U-shaped cross section (FIG. 4). The legs of the profile 6 are congruent trapezoids in plan, the base of which is formed by the profile web. The side edges of the two legs are inclined at an angle of 45 relative to the profile web.
In the two legs of the connecting profile 6, rectangular recesses 7 which are in alignment with one another are provided, which are at least in part also in alignment with the recess 5 of the plate 4. Through the recesses 7 in the profile legs 6 is formed at the free end of each leg to the leg base par allelic web 6a.
On the side of the two tongues 5a of the plate 4 facing the butt joint of the walls 1, 2, the head 8cs of a clamping screw 8 is supported, the threaded part of which in the plate plane through which between the two tongues 5a. The gap left between the two legs of the connecting profile 6 protrudes. A nut 9 is seated on the viewing hood 8 and rests against the latter on the side of the web 6a facing the profile web.
As a result of the lying surfaces of the two connecting members 4 and 6 protruding considerably beyond the abutment surfaces of the two walls 1, 2, an angularly rigid wall structure is created by the described corner connection. After loosening the nut 9, accessible through the recesses 5 and 7, the connecting profile 6 can be removed from the plate 4, whereupon the latter can be pulled out of the slot 3.
The fixed connection of the two walls 1, 2 is thereby released.
If the corner connection is to be made between two walls, one of which abuts against the latter at a distance from one end of the other wall, the slot 3 in the extended wall can be guided beyond the abutment to the said end of this wall.
The connecting plate can then be inserted through this extended seat seat when assembling the corner connection, provided that the tabs on one side edge of the plate in the plate corner forming the right angle over a length corresponding to the thickness of the extended wall 4ca are omitted.
Such an embodiment is indicated in Figure 4 with dash-dotted lines; in this case is. let off the tabs 4a. The protruding wall part can, for. B. be designed as a furniture foot. Another possibility for creating a furniture foot is shown in FIG. The foot here is through a in cross section. Triangular sheet metal piece 10 is formed, which is made from a flat sheet metal strip by appropriate bending. has been.
A gap is left between the sheet metal edges forming one side of the sheet metal piece 10, so that the sheet metal piece with these edges can be pushed under the tabs 4a of the connecting plate 4 resting on the bottom 2, as shown in FIG. It goes without saying that the two walls 1, 2 can also butt against each other at their butt joint.
The corner connection described can also be provided for boxes and the like, in addition to furniture. It can also be provided instead of between flat walls, between orthogonal lig abutting posts or between walls and posts. It is easy to assemble and dismantle and cannot loosen itself.
It results in a stiff structure held rigidly at an angle and makes corner blocks and similar stiffeners superfluous. The Lap pen of the connecting plate, which of course can also have a shape other than the one shown, can be z. B. also train as decorative elements in furniture construction.
