Diese Steuerung geschah bei bisheri gen Druekbestäubungsvorrichtungen in der Regel mittels elektrisch gesteuerter Ventile, durch die der Luftstrom im Takt der Ma schine freigegeben und wieder geschlossen wird. Der Luftstrom wird durch diese Ventile, die sich in der Leitung, in der Regel vor dem Bestäubungsmittelbehälter befinden, abge sperrt;
(In dieser Zeichnung sowie den Fig. @6 und 7 ist das Rohr 5 radiale eingezeichnet, um eine einfachere Darstellung zu ermöglichen;
Fig. 7 zeigt, teilweise im Schnitt, eine Be- stäubungsanlage, daie ebenfalls kompressorlos arbeitet.
Vibrationsbewegungen des Be- stäubungsmittelbehälter:
Dusting plant working with an air stream The problem of the atomization of powdery substances in an air stream arises in various fields of technology.
He thought he was. especially the u. a. pressure sprayers used in graphic companies; These devices essentially consist of a compressor, a dust container and one or more nozzles through which the dust is blown in the form of fine mist or dust in the printing machine onto the freshly printed sheet, and there, a very thin one Protective skin forms that prevent the still wet printing ink from printing on the neighboring sheet in the delivery.
Up to now, liquids have preferably been used as pollinants, which are of a well-known type by atomizers. in the form of a mist on the print sheet. Lately sets. dry pollination, i.e. pollination with powdery substances, is becoming more and more common.
In previously used dry pollinators, which also essentially consist of a compressor, a pollinant container and one or more nozzles, the pollinating powder is whirled up by an air flow in the pollinating agent container and the resulting powder. Blow the resulting cloud of dust through the nozzles onto the print sheet.
These known dry-pollination systems have the disadvantage that metering is even more or less precise, that is, uniform coverage of the printed sheets. Pollinants are practically not possible.
The intensity. the generated cloud is dependent on. Air pressure in the line (which is never completely constant), the current nature of the pollinant (especially its variable moisture content) and the degree of filling of the container (which is also variable), so that the amount of the Unit of time through the nozzles exiting the container is subject to strong fluctuations.
In addition, there is another important factor: pressure pollinators must generally be able to be controlled according to the cycle of the machine on which they are working. that they only blow out dust if there is a printed sheet under the nozzle or if a printed sheet goes through under the nozzle.
Continuous work would result in an excessively large amount of powder being atomized uselessly, even negatively (because this superfluous amount of powder would only contaminate the machine). The dusting devices are therefore provided with .Steuerungsorganen, which synchronize their activity with the cycle of the machine in the sense that only pollinant emerges from the nozzle when there is a printed sheet underneath.
This control was done with previous spraying devices usually by means of electrically controlled valves through which the air flow is released and closed again in time with the machine. The air flow is blocked by these valves, which are located in the line, usually in front of the pollinant container;
As soon as the valve opens, the compressed air must first overcome the inertial resistance of the air in the dead space of the line up to the nozzle and in the pollinant container and the resistance that the pollinant itself opposes to its passage. During this short period of time, the pollinant is whirled up incompletely and irregularly. The exact control is therefore not in this way. possible.
Various proposals have been made to remedy these deficiencies, but this has not yet been completely successful. The present invention makes it possible to remedy these inconveniences.
Whereas previously the pollinant was transported from the container to the nozzle through an air stream passing through the pollinant container, that is to say by pneumatic means. the present invention a fundamentally different way:
At the with. an air flow working dusting system according to the present invention, the transport takes place. of the dusting agent from the dusting agent container into the air stream with the aid of at least one mechanical conveying device.
Mechanical conveying devices in the context of this patent description are understood to mean devices which bring about or facilitate the transport of the dusting agent from the container into the air stream by moving parts of the system. The present invention is characterized in that it has at least one mechanical conveying device through which the pollinant is brought from the pollinant container into the air stream.
This air flow is preferably a continuous one. The accompanying drawings show some application examples of the present invention in a schematic representation. In all of these drawings the arrows shown indicate the direction of the air flow. The compressors and nozzles are not shown, as these parts of the apparatus can be assumed as known.
FIG. 1 shows a section through a dusting agent container of cylindrical shape (1) which opens into the funnel 4 from below. The filling opening of the container is through the screw cap? lockable.
The container is partially with. Pollinant 3 filled. The Triehterhals 5 extends into the tube 9, in which the air flows from the compressor to the nozzle. A rod 8, through which the conical cover 6 is moved up and down, extends through the mouth 7 of the pull neck 5.
In its lowest position, the conical cover 6 rests on the funnel wall 4 and ver closes the outlet opening; If the lid is lifted a little, the dusting agent slides down between the lid edge and the funnel wall into the funnel neck and passes through the outlet opening 7 into the air stream flowing in the tube 9. The raising and lowering of the rod 8 he follows preferably in very short time intervals and only by small distances, whereby the movement of the lid 6 is a shaking or vibrating.
The drive mechanism (not drawn in) that sets the rod 8 and the cover 6 in motion can be an electric motor. be with an eccentric or an electric vibrator; the movement can also take place via a mechanical transmission from the motor, which generates the air flow.
Fig.? shows a section through the lower part of a pollinant container in which. there is also pollinant 3. The pull neck 5 pulling down into the pipe 9, in which the air stream flows from the compressor to the nozzle, is toothed on the inside in a ring shape. In the Triehterhals det see the also ring-shaped toothed piston 6, which is set in a vertical movement by the rod 8, which forms its continuation.
As a result of this upward and downward movement, the dusting agent, alternately by the toothed rings of the piston and the funnel neck, is captured and brought out of the container through the funnel mouth 7 into the air stream flowing through the tube 9. The movement of the rod 8 happens in the same way as described in the preceding paragraph.
Filg. 3 shows a section through the lower, funnel-shaped part of the pollinant container which contains the pollinant 3. The funnel ends in the narrow neck 5 of the funnel, the mouth 7 of which extends into the pipe 9 in which the air stream from the compressor to the nozzle flows. The funnel neck 5 is seated in a ring 6 made of elastic material, which in turn is held by the pipe wall 8.
The vibrator (shown schematically) or the shaking device 10 is attached to the wall of the rack; the container is then shaken or shaken.
vibrating movement. The outlet opening or mouth 7 of the funnel can be partially or completely closed by a (not drawn) device of a known type, for example by a screw with a cone which goes through the wall of the tube 9 opposite the mouth Afterflow of the pollinant can be regulated.
Such regulation can also take place by increasing or decreasing the intensity of the shaking or vibrating movement or by accelerating or decelerating the same.
FIG. 1 shows, in section, a narcotic agent container 1 with the screw cap 2, partially filled. With. Dusting mit.tel This container opens into the funnel 4, which has a round outlet opening 10 at the bottom. This opening opens into the pipe 9 through which the air flow from the compressor to the nozzle flows.
Opposite the opening 10 is located outside the pipe 9, perpendicular to it, as a rotating drive device, a small electric motor 7 which drives a screw conveyor 6 reaching through the pipe 9 and the opening 1.0. A clutch or a variable speed gearbox or both can be accommodated in the housing part 8 in order to control or respectively control the screw conveyor.
regulate their speed and thus regulate the supply of pollinants. The screw conveyor can also be driven by a corresponding transmission device from the compressor motor.
Fig. 5 shows a compressor-less pressure best.äuber partly in section. 1 be marked the electric motor, which rotates the impeller -I around soaped axis 3, which generates the air flow that is directed through the pipe to the nozzle. The motor housing is. connected to the wind chamber housing 10 by the union nut 2.
The air holes 8 through which the blade or impeller sucks in the air are located in the lateral end part 12 of the wind chamber housing. The extended motor shaft 3 carries the grooved or toothed wheel 5, which is in engagement with the likewise grooved or toothed wheel 6 which is rotatably mounted on the housing extension 7. This wheel 6, the transport wheel, extends through the slot 11 into the pollinant container 9 located above the wind chamber housing.
By rotating the 'transport wheel dusting agent is brought from the container 9 into the wind chamber ge in its grooves or teeth, there gripped by the air flow and blown through the tube @ 5 to the nozzle.
(In this drawing as well as in FIGS. 6 and 7, the tube 5 is drawn radially in order to allow a simpler representation;
In practice, however, the pipe -5 is attached tangentially to the wind chamber housing curvature.) Fig. 6 shows a section through the wind chamber housing of a compressorless pressure sprayer with a transport device in the form of a screw conveyor. Here, too, the motor drives the shovel that sits on its axis 3!
Impeller, by which the air flow is generated and blown through the pipe; -) (i to the nozzle. On the extended motor axis, the drive wheel 5 sits on the side surface of the wheel 6, axially movable on the axis 8, which runs the axis 8 and The axis B is perpendicular to the motor axis 3 and is rotatably mounted in two extensions 9 of the housing 10. The wheel 6 can be axially displaced by means of the lever 7 and thereby the speed of the carrier. port tendon or spiral can be varied independently of the constant engine speed.
The screw conveyor 11 extends from the wind chamber into the lowermost part of the funnel-shaped opening of the pollinant container 1'2.
7 shows, partly in section, a dusting system, since it also works without a compressor. The electric motor 1 drives the blade seated on its axis 3, - or Flü gelrad 4, which generates the air flow that is passed through the tube 5 to the nozzle.
The wind chamber housing 6 has a tubular port set 10; Inside this tubular extension, the housing has air inlet holes 15, and the lower part of the extension also has such holes. The upper part of the extension has a screw thread inside.
In the housing extension 7.0 i sits a corresponding extension of the housing 16 of the pollinant container with a corresponding external thread such that by rotating the pollinant container it can be raised or lowered in relation to the wind chamber housing.
The extended motor axis 3 has a bearing 8 attached to the wind chamber housing @ 6; beyond this camp. there is a conical screw conveyor 9, which extends through the container part set, which is also conical inside, into the dusting agent container in which the dusting agent 4 is located.
As a result of the rotation of the conical screw conveyor 9, the dusting agent is transported out of the container through the holes 15 into the wind chamber and blown out through the pipe 5. Around. The rotatable ring 11, which also has air inlet holes (12), is attached to the housing extension 10.
By turning this ring, the air holes in the wind chamber housing extension can be completely or partially closed and the air supply into the wind chamber can be regulated or interrupted. By rotating the dusting agent container 16 it is raised or lowered. see this one; as a result, the space between the conical screw conveyor 9 and the likewise conical outlet opening in the container continues. Set enlarged or reduced., Whereby the pollinant supply can be regulated.
Through the wing 13, which is attached to the end of the screw conveyor. the pollinant is held in the container in moving ling so that it slides evenly.
The wing 7 sitting on the extended motor axis 3 causes. better distribution of the pollinant in the intake air flow, the control of this pollinator according to the cycle. the machine can be effected by installing a coupling between the motor axis 3 and the screw conveyor, which coupling can be controlled electromagnetically from the machine, for example.
The same is true. also for all other compressorless dusting systems, in particular also for those shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, where clutches of this type can be installed between the extended motor axis 3 and the wheels 5.
Compressorless dusting devices can also be used with other than rotating dusting devices - conveying devices, in particular with the ones shown in FIG. and 3 abge formed and described above, individually or in combination, be provided.
Especially the transport. of the pollinant from the container into the air flow by shaking or vibrating movements of the pollinant container:
It can also be used with the proposed compressor-less dusting systems, the shaking or vibration movement being generated by the motor that drives the paddle wheel and, for example, on the motor and VG'ind-chamber housing and from this on the housing the pollinant container can be carried over.
The principle of mechanical conveyance of the dusting agent from the dusting agent container into the air flow according to the present invention can also be used analogously for mass dusting with the appropriate design of the conveying system and the outlet openings.
