Als Kupplungskomponenten kommen bei spielsweise in Frage 1- Pheny 1-3-methyl-'5-pyrazolon, 1-(3'-Ni- trophenyl )-3-methyl - 5-pyrazolon, 1- (4'-N itro- phenyl) - 3 - methyl - 5 - pyrazolon, 1-(2'-chlor- phenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon, 1-(?';
5'-Dichlor- phenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazo.lon, 2-Oxyn.aphtha- lin, 6-Brom-2-oxynaphthalhn, 1-Acetylamino-7- oxynapht.ha.Iin, 3-Oxydiphenylenoxyd, 2-Oxy- earbazol.
Process for the preparation of chromium-containing sulfonic acid group-free monoazo dyes It has been found that valuable chromium-containing sulfonic acid group-free monoazo dyes are obtained if o, o'-dioxyazo dyes of the general formula:
EMI0001.0007
wherein A is the radical of a coupling component coupling in the ortho position to the flydroxyl group and R. and R.1 are alkyl or hydrogen and R is alkyl or substituted alkyl, treated with chromium donating agents.
The new dyestuffs containing honorarium dye wool in neutral and slightly acidic baths in very lightfast shades. They are also characterized by very good washability and good leveling power.
The diazo components necessary for the production of the o, o'-dioxyazo dyes, the 1-amino-2-oxybenzene-sulfoalkylamido-ethane sulfamides, can be obtained by condensation of 1-chloro-2-nitro'benzenesulfoehloriden with alkyltaurine,
Conversion of the condensation product via the corresponding sulfo-chloride into the sulfamide and finally saponification of the chlorine and reduction of the nitro group to the amino group.
Suitable coupling components are, for example, 1- pheny 1-3-methyl-'5-pyrazolone, 1- (3'-nitrophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-nitrophenyl ) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (2'-chlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (? ';
5'-dichlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazo.lone, 2-oxyn.aphthaline, 6-bromo-2-oxynaphthalene, 1-acetylamino-7-oxynaphth.haline, 3-oxydiphenylene oxide, 2-oxyearbazole.
Example 1 11.2 g of 1-amino-2-oxybenzene-5-sulfomethyl-a.mido-ethanesulfamide are dissolved in 150 cm water and 10 cubic meters of hydrochloric acid and at 0 to \ 5 with a 10 percent - diazotized n atrium nitrite solution. After a short time, the diazonium compound precipitates out as a crystalline yellow precipitate.
The acidic suspension of the same is made weakly acidic with sodium carbonate and then slowly poured into an ice-cold solution of 8 g of 1-4eetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 1.6 g of solid sodium hydroxide, 4 g of soda and 150 cm of water. After stirring for one hour, the coupling is complete; the dark blue dye solution has pH 9.4.
After stirring overnight at room temperature, the mixture is adjusted to px 8 with a little dilute hydrochloric acid, during which the dye precipitates. The paraffin paste obtained after filtration is heated to 75 to 80 with −90 cm> water and 10 cm 3 sodium hydroxide solution (36 Be), the dye dissolving.
At this temperature one leaves 125 one chromizing solution, which. a liter contains 42; 6g potassium bichromate and 78g glucose. The mixture is then stirred at 80 for 20 minutes. After the dye solution has cooled to 40, it is adjusted to pH 5 with a little dilute hydrochloric acid, the chromium-plated dye precipitating out.
It is a black powder that dissolves well in hot water and dyes the wool from neutral and weakly acidic baths in black-blue shades of good washing fastness and very good fastness to light. Example 1152 g of 1-amino-2-oxybenzo # l-5-sulfomethyl-amido-ethansnlfamid are as described in Example 1,
diazotized. The ones with sodium carbonate. neutralized slurry of the diazo compound is slowly poured into an ice-cooled solution of 6.95 g of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1.6 g of solid sodium hydroxide, 4 g of soda and 200 cm3 of water. The coupling mixture is allowed to stir at pic 8 over Naeht.
The dye precipitates without the addition of salt and is filtered off in 150 em3 of a solution of chrom.salieylsaiirem ammonium (corresponding to 1.52 g of crz03)? , Heated to the boil for hours. The solution will be. hot with 12 / a cooking salt added. Falls as it cools. the horned dye off.
It dyes wool in neutral and weakly acidic baths in reddish-tinged orange tones of very high lightfastness as well as good leveling properties and good washfastness. Example 3 11. 2 g of 1-amino-2-oxybenzene-5-snlfomethyl-aniido-ethane-Wfamid are diazotized as described in Example 1. Coupling is carried out with a solution of 7.3 g 3 @ -oxydiphenylene oxide, 1; 6 g solid sodium hydroxide and 4 g soda in 200 cubic meters of water.
After stirring overnight, the pH is adjusted to 9 with a little dilute hydrochloric acid and the precipitated dye is filtered off with suction. The ironed dye according to a method given in the previous examples is a dark brown powder which looks brown in hot water. dissolves and dyes the wool from neutral or weakly acidic bath in slightly purple-tinged brown tones of very good lightfastness and washfastness.
Example% 11.7 g of 1-amino-?, - oxybenzene- @ 5-sulfomethyl-amido-ethanesulfomethyl amide are diazotized as in the previous examples. Coupling with a solution of 8 g of 1-acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 1; 6 solid sodium hydroxide, 4 g of soda and 150 liters of water gives a dye which, after chromating, is a black powder.
He dyes wool in the weakly acidic bath in black tones of very good lightness and water resistance.
