Additional patent to the main patent. No. 3116939 Process for the production of electrical capacitors The invention relates to a process for the production of electrical capacitors.
In the claim of the main patent, a method for the production of electrical capacitors has already been proposed, which is characterized in that an insulating material coating is applied to a conductor, the conductor material is dissolved at the points where the conductor is not covered by insulating material, min at least one more layer of insulating material and so with.
multiple coatings provided conductor is cut in its longitudinal direction in two parts, the whole in such a way that each of these parts has an edge uncovered by insulating material, which is suitable for making an electrical connection, while the remaining part of each part with Insulating material overdect remains.
In the case of a certain capacitor manufactured according to this method, the leg between the electrodes has a four-fold insulating layer. In contrast to this, in the present process according to the invention, the formation of a four-fold insulation layer is avoided.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that a conductor is provided with a coating of insulating material, that any parts of the conductor that are not covered with insulating material are dissolved, that another layer of insulating material and.
then a coating of metal is applied so that on both sides of the center line of each flat side of the conductor a none. The strip with a metal coating remains that here on the ladder along the said center line is cut in half for the purpose of exposing the ladder and then each of the resulting parts is rolled into a @ '@' roll.
whereupon the intermediate spaces between the existing on the exposed conductor side. Layers of this coil are filled with an insulating material, sorry that this side of the coil is then cut again so that the conductor comes out again, so that an electrical connection can be made.
Below is a. Exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is described with reference to the accompanying drawing. In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows an end view of a coated conductor and FIG. 2 shows a partial section through a capacitor made from a part of the conductor shown in FIG.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the conductor 1 lies between two layers of insulating material 2 which protrude beyond the conductor edges. This is achieved by passing the conductor through a solution after it has been provided with a strip of insulation made of insulation and cut to size to expose the conductor at the edges. which dissolves its edges and possibly other uncoated conductor points.
This part processed in this way is then included. an insulating material coating: 3, which fills both the grooves between the layers and existing grooves as well as other spaces created by the solution during the passage. After this second insulating layer 3 has been applied, it is provided with two coatings 4 and 5 made of metal in such a way that they are separated from one another by intermediate spaces 6 and 7.
The conductor prepared in this way is then cut in two along the line 8, so that two identical parts that can be used as electrodes are produced, in which the conductor is exposed at one edge. is.
Fig. 2 shows. a part of a capacitor wire made from an electrode part obtained as described. The edge of the roll, on which an edge of the conductor 1 is visible, is provided with a third insulating material neck sheet 9 as soon as the roll has been rolled. The coil is then cut on this side so that the conductor 1 is again.
is exposed at the edge, whereupon an electrical connection is made by means of a metal coating 10.
The hletal'überzug -1 forms the other electrode of the capacitor and lies. wrapped together.
The insulating layer 9 prevents the coating 10 from being. the electrode .l can come into contact. The coating 10 can be applied in a manner known per se, for example by vapor deposition in a vacuum or by spraying.
The coatings of insulating material can be applied by passing the conductor through liquid insulating material and then drying and / or polymerizing one or both of the coatings.
The edge portions of the conductor can be removed by passing it through a solution that dissolves the conductor material but does not attack the insulating material.
With the method described, a capacitor can be produced in which the first electrode 1 is completely in the insulating material? is embedded, since the second coating 3 eliminates any imperfections of the first coating, and thus completely eliminates the risk of a breakdown between the two electrodes. In addition, by attaching the third insulation layer 9, which closes the space between the two electrodes 1 and 4, the impedance of the creepage distance between the electrodes is increased.
Furthermore, the distance between the electrodes is smaller when the second electrode is directly. attached to the insulating mate rial. becomes as if the capacitor web were rolled out of the two parts of the conductor shown in FIG.
