Description
Aufsteckbarer Schutzschild

Attachable protective shield
In electric arc welding are known. Lich protective shields are used, which have to be held in one hand, which means that one hand is required to weld while working.
Often, however, this hand is needed for a work operation. (For example pipes and boilers have to be rotated during the welding process, etc.) It is impossible to use a normal protective shield for such work.
At present, hinged protective shields that are attached to the cap are usually used for such work. By opening and closing, however, time is lost and these signs also have a disruptive effect during work.
For tack welding, dark glasses are also used, which offer insufficient protection against burns to the face and eyes.
The subject of the present invention is an attachable scbmtzsehild which can be attached to the electrode holder so that one hand of the welder is free.
The illustrated embodiment consists of a light protective shield 1 which is adjustable by means of a joint 2 with respect to the axis of the electrode holder 4.
By means of a connection that can be changed in the diameter; z. B. spring washer or Bride 3, the shield is fastened on the electrode holder 4 be. The welding process is through the window in the shield, which is provided with dark glass. g clearly visible on the electrode. The joint 2 can be loosened and the spring ring 3 exchanged for a handle.
PATENT CLAIM A removable protective shield, characterized by the fact that it is provided with a part that can be changed in the diameter, with which a connection between the electrode holder and the shield can be established.
UNDER CLAIM
Attachable protective shield according to patent claim, characterized in that the part which is adjustable in the middle of a joint relative to the shield and can be changed in the diameter can be exchanged for a handle.
