Clutch The invention relates to a clutch with a driving cylindrical outer and a driven inner cylindrical element concentric therewith, a friction disk clutch between the two cylindrical elements and a control clutch.
According to the invention, the coupling is characterized in that the Steuerkupp development has rings effective in the axial direction, of which one ring is arranged on the inner cylindrical organ, while the other ring is in operative connection with the outer zvlindrisehen organ and is axially movable, furthermore characterized by actuatable means for bringing the rings into the operative position, where the driven ring is rotated out of its normally inoperative position,
further characterized by means for moving the friction disks of the friction disk clutch into the clutch position when the driven ring rotates.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the subject invention. It shows: Fig. 1 a longitudinal section through the coupling, Fig. 2 is a section along the line 2-2 in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 is a section through a coupling part on a larger scale, Fig. 4 parts of the coupling in the diagram and in the exploded state and Fig. 5 an individual part of the coupling in the diagram and on a larger scale.
The clutch has a main clutch part 10 and a control clutch part 11, of which the former is designed as a friction disk clutch and the second as a double ring friction clutch. Control coupling part by an electric magnet 12 via a control device 13 having balls and cams on the friction disc clutch for action can be brought. The driven part of the.
The friction disk clutch comprises a cylindrical member 14 that is keyed onto the shaft 15 and extends in the axial direction through the friction disc clutch, the control device, the control clutch and the electromagnet 12. The driving part of the friction clutch is formed by a cylindrical member 16, the inner diameter of which is greater than the outer diameter of the organ 14 and which is concentric to one end of the latter. The end of the organ 16 turned away from the organ 14 is designed as a flange 17 which is fastened by means of screws 18 to a driving spur gear 19 carried by the shaft 15.
The friction disk clutch comprises two sets of friction disks 20 and 21, of which the driven disks 20 are connected to the element 14 and the driving disks 21 to the element 16, each disk 20 being followed by a disk 21. The drive the disks 21 have on the outer edge of the latter protruding lugs 22, which are loosely in longitudinal slots 23 distributed over the circumference of the organ 16 and located in the end facing away from the flange 17. In an analogous manner, the driven disks 20 are provided on their inner edges with in Rich device on the axis extending lugs 24 which protrude into longitudinal slots 25 of the organ 14. Die Aussen 24 bzw.
The desired game between the friction discs of the friction disc clutch will he hold by an axially adjustable and adjustable end plate 20a, which is held in position by a screwed on a thread 26 located at the outer end of the organ 14 disc 27. A screw 28a located on the disk 27 and screwed into the end disk 20a serves to close the disks together and to fix the disk 20a in the axial position of adjustment.
At the other end of the Reibscheibenkupp- young see another end plate 20b, which can be moved under pressure in the axial direction on the end plate 20a for the purpose of moving the friction plates 20 and 21 into the effective clutch position. The disk 20b is made thicker than the other disks so that a uniform power transmission is achieved over the entire radial width.
The disk 20b forms part of the control device 13, to which at least three hardened balls 28 belong, which lie in grooves 29 and 30 distributed over the circumference in the opposing surfaces of the end disk 20b and a ring 31. The ring 31 encloses the organ 14 at one ends of the longitudinal slots 25 and rests on the race 32 of a thrust bearing 33, the other ring of which is pressed onto the organ 14 and rests on a shoulder 35.
Each Niite 29 and each co-operating groove 30 are designed in such a way that they have continuously inclined surfaces 36 and 37, which act as control surfaces and have a curved radial cross-section, which converge on one another in the circumferential direction from one end for the purpose of formation of Ver depressions 38 and 39, in which a ball 28 can be inserted when the ring 31 is in the inoperative position of the coupling according to FIG. The balls 28 are fixed in their positions by a ball cage 40.
When the ring 32 is moved from the inoperative position by rotation in one direction of rotation, the balls 28 are moved up on the inclination surfaces 36 and 37, with the result that the disc 20b causes the friction disc clutch to engage.
When the effective torque exerted on the ring 31 ceases, it is returned to the inoperative position. For this purpose, a number of helical springs 41 are provided in cavities 42 evenly distributed over the circumference, which are parallel to the clutch axis and extend through the clutch plates 20 and 21 through.
The ends of the springs rest on the end disks 20a and 20b of the friction disk clutch, each spring on a pin 42a. is pushed, one end of which is lowered ver in the disc 20b. The gradient of the control surfaces 36 and 37 is large enough to ensure that the friction disc clutch is not moved by the springs 41.
The Steuerkupphlng 11 for generating the torque for the purpose of bringing one part of the friction disc clutch into the coupling position, through the intermediary of the control ring 31, has friction rings that rotate with the outer member 16 and the ring 31 and are designed such that they are effective in the axial direction when the electromagnet 12 is excited. The driven friction ring comprises two cylindrical pole pieces 43 in a concentric arrangement, which are explored among themselves through an intermediate ring 44 made of non-magnetic material, for example copper.
The inner pole piece 43 is firmly connected between its ends to an outwardly directed flange 45 on the control ring 31, which planar shaft 45 encloses the bearing 33.
The pole faces at one end of the cylindrical pole pieces 43 lie in the same plane radially to the clutch axis and are in contact with an armature ring 46 made of magnetic material, which forms the drive element of the control clutch and apart from a rotary movement with the driving element 16 can also perform a free axial movement, for the purpose of making complete contact with the pole faces.
The anchor ring 46 is connected to the end of the member 16 which, for this purpose, extends inwards as far as the end disk 20b and the control device 13. This enables a simple Her position of the anchor ring 46 by punching -ins a - # Tetallbleeh, the anchor ring being provided on its outer edge with tooth-like extensions -16a, which protrude into the longitudinal slots 23 of the driving organ 16,
so that the anchor ring is loosely fitted in the driving member and centered with respect to the coupling axis.
The armature ring 46 and the pole piece 43 form part of a toroidal magnetic flux, which is shown in broken lines in FIG. 1, surrounds the turns of the winding 47 of the magnet 12 and is closed by the 3-layer body 48.
The magnet body has the shape of a ring with a U-shaped cross-section, between the cylindrical legs 49 of which the winding 47 and part of the pole pieces 43 lie, in such a way that the larger part of the outer shell of the outer pole piece and the larger part of the inner shell of the inner pole piece see between the inner surfaces of the legs 49 of the magnetic body 48 are located.
To center the magnet 12 exactly and. To be able to adjust axially, the magnet body 48 is pressed onto a support sleeve 50 made of non-magnetic material, which in turn sits on the end part of the driven member 14 between the one bearing ring of the bearing 33 and a shoulder 51. The magnet 12 is secured against rotation by an arm or a disk 51a, the latter being connected to the magnet body 48 by means of screws inserted into bores 52.
When the winding 47 is de-energized, the interacting parts of the control clutch assume the position shown in FIG. 1, and the control ring 31 is under the action of the springs 41 in the position shown in FIG. 3, in which the parts of the friction disc clutch lie in the uncoupling position, since the springs are effective via the control device having the balls.
If the circuit is closed via the magnetic winding 47, a magnetic flux corresponding to the circle shown in FIG. 1 is generated, which causes the parts of the control clutch to move into an operative position in order to cause the driving element 16 to generate a torque , which is proportional in size to the excitation current. The torque communicated to the control ring 31 is converted into an axial pressure acting on the end plate 20b, so that the friction plates of the Reibscheibenkupp ment are pressed against the plate 27 acting as a stop.
The driving member 16 and the driven member 14 are in this way brought into working connection with one another due to the friction closure generated between the clutch plates for transmitting the torque, which torque is proportional to the energy supplied to the electromagnet. If the elec- tromagnet is de-energized, the parts of the clutch generating the frictional connection go back into the inoperative positions under the influence of the relaxing springs 47.
Most of the parts required to manufacture the hitch are simple in shape as well as in manufacture and can be produced by punching, which has a favorable effect on manufacturing costs and assembly. There is also an extremely compact design with mini paint external dimensions for a given torque.
