Description

  

      Garniture    de     joint    pour raccord de pièces     tubulaires       La présente invention a pour objet     une     garniture de joint pour raccord de pièces tubu  laires.  



  On sait que, dans le cas de tuyaux, le pro  blème des     -garnitures    de joints est extrêmement  important et les solutions en sont très délica  tes. En effet, une garniture de joint entre deux  tuyaux est soumise, à la fois, à l'action     axiale     des deux tuyaux qui sont mis bout à bout et,  d'autre part, à une pression latérale qui, obli  gatoirement, s'exerce à l'intérieur ou à l'exté  rieur des tuyaux.  



  La     garniture    de joint conforme à l'inven  tion est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un  corps annulaire en matière     élastiquement        dé-          formable    dans laquelle est noyée une armature       annulaire    rigide.  



  Le dessin     annexé    représente, à titre d'exem  ple, une forme d'exécution de la     garniture    de  joint objet de l'invention.  



  La     fig.    1 est une coupe longitudinale avec  arrachement partiel de deux tuyaux raccordés  avec interposition de la garniture de joint cons  tituant cette forme d'exécution.  



  La     fig.    2 montre en plan l'armature des  tinée à être noyée dans la garniture.  



  La     fig.    3 est une coupe transversale de la  garniture.    La     fig.    4 est une vue en plan avec coupe  longitudinale partielle de la même garniture.  



  A la     fig.    1, on voit deux tuyaux 1 et 2  réunis à leur     extrémité.    Les moyens utilisés  pour la réunion de ces deux tuyaux compren  nent une pièce mâle 3 soudée sur le tuyau 2,  en 4 et 5, et une pièce femelle 6 ayant une  portée 7 emmanchée sur le tuyau 1 et formant  un logement pour la pièce mâle 3. Une ron  delle 8 est également soudée sur le tuyau -1.  



  Une garniture de joint comprenant un  corps     annulaire    9 en matière     élastiquement        dé-          formable,    en caoutchouc par exemple, se  trouve placée entre les deux extrémités des  tuyaux 1 et 2. Cette garniture fait contact par  ses deux faces frontales 10 et 11 avec la ron  delle 8 et la pièce mâle 3,= tandis que, par sa  périphérie 12, elle se trouve en contact avec  la portée 7 de la pièce 6. La surface     latérale     intérieure 13 de la garniture est située dans  un plan coïncidant avec le plan des parois in  ternes des tuyaux 1 et 2. .  



  La garniture comporte une armature an  nulaire rigide 14 noyée dans la matière du  corps 9 de la garniture.     Afin    d'assurer une       bonne    cohésion entre la matière     déformable    du  corps 9 et     l'armature    14, des trous 15 sont  percés dans l'armature 14 et répartis sur tout  son pourtour, de telle sorte que la matière dé-           formable    pénètre automatiquement dans ces  trous au moment où cette armature est noyée  dans la matière     déformable.     



  L'armature     annulaire    14 peut être consti  tuée par du métal relativement mince ou, en  core, par un jonc, une rondelle ou une bague       métallique.    On conçoit aisément que la garni  ture peut se déformer latéralement, c'est-à-dire  par rapport à un plan longitudinal, mais que la  matière ne peut subir aucune déformation per  manente dans un autre sens, susceptible de       nuire    au bon fonctionnement de l'assemblage.  



  La garniture de- joint peut avoir la forme  d'un     anneau        ayant    un contour circulaire, ovale,       elliptique    ou polygonal.
