Gas machine The present invention relates to a (@asniaseliine) in which the gas is fed to the working cylinder - separated from the air flow by its own control elements - to avoid flushing losses.
It is known that in two-stroke and supercharged four-stroke internal combustion engines, to increase the performance, the residual gases are removed from the cylinders or the combustion chambers by flushing with air. Such a procedure is only possible with (xas machines if the gas and air supply are separate from each other and are regulated by control organs. With the known supply valves, where one common for all cylinders in the air intake line Gas mixing nozzle is provided, flushing losses occur as a result of the fact that the flushing does not occur.
pure air, but already with a combustible gas-air mixture. As a result, the fuel consumption increases not insignificantly. Another disadvantage is that with such an operation, so-called suction blasts occur when the gas-air mixture flows past hot parts, glowing coke particles or after-burning gas pockets.
In order to keep the disadvantages mentioned, it has already been proposed that the gas be fed through a valve in the vicinity of the inlet valve and as a function. from this controlled, own gas inlet valve to the cylinder. At the same time, a separate regulating slide is required to meter the amount of gas required.
Such Einrichtun conditions, which are also known in the form of tow valves. are, however, require a considerable structural effort by using their own valve drive and a separate control slide with its own drive from the regulator of the gas engine.
The device for controlling the Gaszu drove according to the invention is characterized by a particularly simple design and high operational reliability. According to the invention, this is achieved in a gas machine, in which the gas in its own gas supply line is separately from the air flow of the suction line of each individual cylinder controlled supplied to avoid flushing losses, in that the gas control element from a within the (gas supply pipe angeord Neten tubular There is a rotary valve which, through slots, controls the openings connecting the gas supply pipe with the suction lines.
This device can be arranged inside the air intake line or outside the same, in the latter case the outer tube has connecting pieces to the lift inlet pieces of the individual cylinders as an extension of the cutouts. The control element according to the invention makes the gas in a simple manner such. controlled so that after opening the inlet valve only clean air first enters the cylinder, that is, the gas loading only takes place after the purging is completed, on the other hand the gas supply is also interrupted before the inlet valve is closed.
This is. the guarantee that the Raiun in front of the inlet valve is filled with pure air before the charging process. The control organ is particularly advantageous to use in the case of four-stroke diesel engines to be built on gas operation, with or without charging, where the subsequent attachment of gas inlet and metering organs is often necessary for spatial reasons. is difficult.
By the gas control element according to the invention, Zuführimgs-, inlet and control elements are combined in one component that is easily attached to the existing internal combustion engine. or can be accommodated in the suction pipe. But even with two-stroke machines where there are no valve controls, the gas control element is to be used, and only a suitable drive by chains, gears or the like is to be provided from the crankshaft.
In the drawing, Ausführungsbei are shown games of the invention, namely: Fig. 1 is a section through the cylinder head and intake line with internal gas control member, Fig. 2 is a corresponding section with external gas control member, Fig. 3 and 4 are longitudinal sections through the gas control member.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the cylinder cover of a gas engine, while the inlet valve is designated with 2 and the inlet port with 3. From the inlet duct 3 of each cylinder, nozzles 4 lead to the intake line 5, which is arranged in a known manner on one longitudinal side of the machine. According to the invention, the gas control element consists of two tubes 6 and 7 which are arranged coaxially one inside the other, rotatable and axially displaceable in relation to one another and which have conical cutouts 8 and 9 on their surface for the gas to pass into the air intake line 5.
The inner tube 7 is with it. connected to a shaft 10 on which a gear 11 is arranged, via which the drive of the inner tube 7 from the Gasma machine follows. The slots are arranged in such a way that, before and after the gas enters the cylinder, only clean air is fed into the machine, so that the residual gases are flushed into the combustion chamber and the hot parts are cooled or glowing or burning gas residues are extinguished .
The slide starts to open. only then, if the outlet valve of the cylinder at the beginning of the charge has just closed or is about to close, while the openings are closed again before the inlet valve closes. By axially moving the tubes 6 and 7 against each other, conveniently with the help of the regulator linkage 12, the filling of the machine can be regulated by more or less large covering of the openings 8, 9.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, either the outer Mohr 6 or the inner tube 7 can be pushed axially ver. The latter embodiment is common when the gas control element is arranged outside the air intake line, as shown for example in FIG. It is. the outer tube 6 is connected to the respective inlet ducts 3 of the individual cylinders by connecting pieces 13. It goes without saying that the gas control element, instead of as shown in FIG. 2, can also be used in any other manner, e.g. B. can be placed on the nozzle 4 of the suction line 5.
A particularly advantageous embodiment is shown in Fig. 1 shows where the gas control element is arranged in an extremely space-saving manner within the air intake line. The drive takes place. just if in the manner already described above.
The design of the gas control element according to the invention makes it possible to operate the machine without flushing losses by precisely controlling the gas and air supply with the lowest possible fuel consumption.
