Motor protection switch It is known that the overcurrent release element in motor protection switches is light. to form from exchangeable block that is attached to the actual switch, with ent neither the electrical connections leading to the trigger block must be specially made or appropriate contact springs are provided, which requires a relatively large number of current transfer points.
The present invention has the purpose of reducing the number of current transfer points and the space required by the entire switch to a minimum.
Your object is a motor protection switch with an exchangeable overcurrent release block, in which at least one fixed switching contact per pole is attached directly to the overcurrent release block.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the subject invention. Fig. 1 shows a three-pole motor protection sehalter seen from the front and Fig. 2 shows the cross section through a pole of this switch. Figure 3 is a side view of the apparatus with the overcurrent release block pulled out.
In Figures 1 to 3, the actual switch part of the motor protection switch is denoted by 1; it consists essentially of an insulating material housing which contains the three switch poles arranged next to one another with their connection terminals and the switching mechanism, which is not described in detail. A protective housing that may enclose the apparatus and the push buttons. are not shown as they are superfluous for identifying the subject matter of the invention.
The other main part of the motor protection switch, the pull-out overcurrent release block, is labeled 2; it consists of the. three heat releases with their setting device and a release lever, which are built together men in an insulating housing on which the necessary contacts are located.
In Fig. 2 the arrangement of the parts belonging to a switch pole can be seen. The shaft 3, which carries the lever 4, can be operated via the organs of the mechanism not illustrated here. This lever 4 acts on the spring-loaded contact bridge 5, whereby the switching movement is achieved. The one fixed switch contact 6 is fixed in the switch part 1, while the second fixed contact 7 of the switching system sits directly on the overcurrent trip block 2 that can be pulled out. The arrangement in this form has the advantage that one gets by with the smallest number of current transfer points.
The overcurrent release block 2 contains the bimetal strip 8 for each pole, which presses on the release lever 9 in the event of an overcurrent and thereby triggers the motor protection switch.
The trigger block also carries the con tact spring 10, which simultaneously fulfills two functions; It serves on the one hand as electrical contact with your connector 11 and on the other hand, due to its corresponding shape, as a holding device for the trigger block in the switch part 1. The trigger block 1 can therefore be inserted and removed like an ordinary plug and does not require any special Attachment.
A particularly favorable use of space is achieved in that the pull-out direction of the trigger block forms an angle a of at least 7.0 with the perpendicular to the switch mounting plane, in that the connections 11, 12 can be accommodated within the switch part 1. In addition to the convenient interchangeability of the trip block, this arrangement also allows easy control of the contacts, the individual parts of which can be easily replaced.
The motor protection switch can be used with or without a housing. The connection terminals 12 and 13 are not arranged at the foot of the switch part 1, but rather lying in a plane parallel to the switch mounting plane in front of the switch contacts, which greatly facilitates the connection of the supply lines.
