Fig. 4 einen Teilquerschnitt durch den Dichtungsring und
Fig. 5 eine e Ansicht eines weiteren Details'.
Oil level sight glass
The present invention relates to an oil level sight glass with a transparent disk which is sealed in relation to the housing and is held in a housing between an annular shoulder and a beading thereof.
In the known oil level sight glasses, a sealing ring is arranged between the latter and an annular shoulder of the housing to seal the transparent disk. However, this known type of sealing has the disadvantage that when the pressure inside the housing increases, the transparent disk is pushed away from the sealing ring, which leads to leaks and leaks. In addition, this known type of sealing requires very tight rim tolerances and very careful assembly in order to avoid damage to the pane.
These disadvantages inherent in the known oil level sight glasses are now to be eliminated according to the invention in that a sealing ring with a V-shaped cross-section is used to seal the transparent pane against the housing, one of which is on the inside on the inside when the pane is inserted into the housing the disc and on the other hand rests against the annular shoulder of the housing, while the other profile encompasses the leg of the disc and rests on the one hand against this and on the other hand against the casing flanging.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely shows:
1 shows a side elevation of the oil level sight glass, partly an axial section,
2 shows the associated transparent disk, partly in cross section,
3 shows a partial axial section through the housing of the oil level sight glass before the transparent pane is inserted,
Fig. 4 shows a partial cross section through the sealing ring and
Fig. 5 is a view of a further detail.
The oil level sight glass shown has a ring or. sleeve-shaped housing 2, for example made of anticorrodal, in which between an annular shoulder 5 and an annular bead 6 of the housing with the insertion of an oil-resistant rubber sealing ring of V-shaped cross-section with the lugs 3, 4 a transparent disk 1 made, for example, of plexiglass is captured.
One profile leg 3 of the V-shaped sealing ring rests on the one hand against the inside of the disc and on the other hand against the annular shoulder 5 of the housing 2, while the other profile leg 4 encompasses the edge of the disc 1 and on the one hand against this and on the other GehÏnuseumb¯ndelung 6 is applied. As can be seen from Fig. 4, the sealing ring is bent from a ring with a right-angled profile. Before the assembly of the pane 1, the flange 6 runs in the longitudinal direction of the housing 2 and allows the sealing ring and the pane 1 to be inserted quickly and easily. The plate on the pane 1 is provided with a bevel 7 such that the diameter. the disc tapers outwards.
When the flange 6 is pressed shut, the profile leg 4 of the sealing ring is pressed against the chamfer 7 of the disc 1 and the latter at the same time against the sealing leg 3 seated on the annular shoulder 5, the disc 1 being sealed oil-tight against the housing. Behind the transparent disk 1, the inside of the housing is permitted in the usual manner with an annular groove 8 for receiving a further disk 10 aws provided on the edge with openings 9.
