Sewing machine with pressurized oil lubrication The invention relates to a sewing machine with pressurized oil lubrication.
The extraordinarily increased number of cycles and stitches of the sewing machines increases the risk of oil leaking out of the housing and contaminating the sewing material. The heat generated inside the machine housing when the number of revolutions is high creates an overpressure that drives oil to the outside despite the provided seals. In addition, oil is atomized and the oil vapor is gene through the necessary housing openings, z. B. for the passage of knives, slider carriers or grippers, driven through, in the vicinity of the sewing material, so that there is a risk of contamination by oil.
In addition, the oil vapor condenses on parts of the machine and thus also gets the sewing material.
The invention is based on the object of preventing oil from escaping from the housing of a sewing machine.
According to the invention, two means for preventing the oil leakage are arranged one behind the other for this purpose at at least one point of the Ge housing, and a sloping run-off surface opening into the interior of the housing is provided for returning the oil retained by the outer means.
This results in the possibility that the little oil that was able to pass through the inner agent is caught by the outer agent so that it cannot get to the sewing material.
The subject matter of the invention is shown schematically and by way of example in the drawing.

The drawn machine is a commercial sewing machine of a well-known type with two fabric slides, several grippers and pressure oil lubrication. The latter is not shown. The sewing machine has an upper housing part 1 and a lower housing part 3. The main drive shaft 15, which is driven by the drive pulley 48, is mounted in the lower part 3. The needle bar 5, which is mounted longitudinally displaceably in the upper part 1 of the housing, is driven by the main drive shaft 15 via a drive rod 49 and a lever 4 mounted at 51 via a link 4 '. The upper part 1 of the housing is divided by an intermediate wall 92 into two compartments 1 'and 1 ".
The upper compartment 1 'has an opening 2, the lower compartment 1 "together with the compartment 3' of the lower housing part 3 an opening 52. The openings in the compartments 1 'and 1" and 3' are arranged through these openings Drive parts of the sewing machine accessible. The opening 2 of the department 1 'is closed by a removable wall 6, which consists of sheet metal or a preferably transparent plastic. This wall 6 is pushed into grooves 7 on three sides; the adjoining housing delimiting surfaces 8 drop towards the interior of the compartment 1 ', so that oil that collects in the grooves 7 flows into the interior of the housing.
The opening 52 of the compartments 1 "and 3 'is also closed by a wall 13, which can consist of sheet metal or a transparent plastic. The wall 13 can be pushed into grooves and pulled out upwards. The walls 6 and 13 provide internal means , by means of which the openings 2 and 52 are closed. The downstream external means for the double closure of these openings are formed by a cover 10 which is hinged at 11 on the lower housing part 3 so that it can be folded down and is in the closed state covers the back of the sewing machine.
The lid 10 is arranged at a distance from the walls 6 and 13, so that between the lid 10 on the one hand and the walls 6 and 13 on the other hand, a gap 53 is formed in which oil can collect, which is still about despite the conclusion the departments 1 'and 1 "or 3' with the walls 6 and 13 should penetrate to the outside.
So that, for example, in the inter mediate space 53 accumulating or from the oil-rich air condensed oil can flow to the inside of the housing, the lower edge 13 'of the wall; 13 arranged below the adjacent upper edge of the lower housing part 3 and at a distance from this upper edge.
In addition, the lower edge 58 of the housing opening 52 and the adjoining side wall 59 of the lower housing part 3 are arranged sloping inwardly at this point. This arrangement allows oil to flow out of the space 53 into the interior of the housing, but no oil can penetrate to the outside at this point.
The oil diverted to the interior of the upper compartment 1 'can flow downward into compartment 1' 'through an opening 9 provided in the wall 92.
Between the cover 10 and its bearing surface 54 of the upper housing part 1, a seal 12 is arranged in a groove of the cover (it could also be a groove of the upper housing part 1) (FIG. 7). The cover is provided with a device by means of which it can be held on the upper housing part 1. It consists of a rotatable disc 10 'which is provided with a rising attraction surface and which can grip behind a wall 10 "of the upper housing part 1 (FIG. 2).
As can be seen in FIGS. 8 and 9, the lower housing part 3 is divided into two compartments 3 'and 3 "by an intermediate wall 55. The main drive shaft 15 is supported in the intermediate wall 55 and organs 5 7 are located in the compartment 3" which are used to drive the gripper shafts 56.
8 and 9 now show two different embodiments ver at the end of the department 3 ".
In the embodiment according to FIG. 8, the section 3 ″ of the housing part 3 is open at the top and at the front of the sewing machine. To cover the parts 57, an angled plate 16 is provided, which represents the inner of two means for preventing the escape of oil Leg of the angled metal sheet 16 is optionally arranged towards the inside of the sewing machine, while the other leg is vertical. In addition, the other leg of the metal sheet 16 is pulled into grooves. At a distance from this angled metal sheet 16 is the fabric support plate 17 which has a vertical wall 17 'at the end of the sewing machine. The plate 17 with the wall 17' form the outer of the two above-mentioned means.
Between the angled sheet 16 on the one hand and the fabric support plate 17 and its wall 17 'is a space 18 ge forms. The approximately in the space 18 ge longing oil wind inward into the housing division 3 "derived through the inwardly sloping edge 58 of the housing lower part 3. So that through the gap 19 formed between the angled plate 16 and the edge 58 no oil after outside can conditions, this gap is covered by a metal sheet 20.
The embodiment according to FIG. 9 shows a modification of the embodiment according to FIG. B. In FIG. 9, the main drive shaft 15 is not only mounted in the wall 55, but is also mounted in a bearing 21 at its end opposite the drive pulley 48 , which is arranged in a removable wall 22, which closes the compartment 3 "on the front of the sewing machine. In this case, the compartment 3" only needs to be covered at the top, and this is done by a plate 60, which is on shoulders of the Housing lower part 3 is held and can for example consist of sheet metal or a siehtigen plastic.
This plate 60 represents the inner of two means for preventing oil from escaping from the partition 3 ″. The outer of these means is again formed by the material support plate 17, which here also has a wall 17 'perpendicular to it. The plate 60 winds through a leaf spring 61 is pressed onto its support. The leaf spring 61 is supported against the underside of the fabric support plate 17. Oil that enters the space between the plates 17 and 60 is returned through the adjacent vertical wall parts of the lower housing part 3 into the compartment 3 ″.
FIG. 10 shows a partial view of the end face of the sewing machine in the embodiment according to FIG. 9 after removal of the fabric support plate 17. It can be seen that the bearing 21 is covered by a cover 21 ′ and that the wall 22 is attached by means of screws 62 the lower housing part 3 is screwed on.
In both the embodiment according to FIG. 8 and in the embodiment according to FIG. 9, the material support plate 17 is articulated at one corner at 63 on the lower housing part 3. The compartment 3 'of the lower housing part 3 is also open at the top in the case of the material slide bars 26 (opening 64) so that the material slide drive is accessible, as can be seen in particular from FIG.
To cover this opening, an angled sheet metal 25 is provided as the inner of two means for preventing oil leakage, one leg of which is fastened to the upper part 1 of the housing by means of screws 65.
The horizontal part of the angled metal sheet 25 is provided with drip strips 28. The throat plate 29, which can be removed in a known manner, is arranged above the horizontal leg of the angled sheet metal 25 as an external means,
which covers the horizontal leg 25 of the angled sheet metal and also the gap 66 between the one drip strip 28 and the wall 55 of the lower housing part 3. The angled sheet metal 25 is followed by a plate 27 which has a vertical leg 68 which partially covers a slot 67 provided in the housing upper part, which will be discussed later.
As can be seen from FIGS. 4, 12 and 15, double means for preventing the leakage of oil are also provided at the parting line between the upper housing part 1 and the lower housing part 3. The housing lower part 3 has a groove 30 in which an elastic seal 30 'is arranged. A second groove 31 is arranged parallel to the individual parts of the groove 30, from which channels 32 lead into the interior of the lower housing part at various points. Whilst the groove 30 represents the inner of the double means mentioned, the groove 31 represents the outer means from where the oil can flow to the interior of the lower housing part 3, which is about between the two surfaces of the upper housing part 1 and of the lower housing part 3 should penetrate.
The upper housing part 1 has a groove-like cutout 69 on the outside above the groove 31, which allows fresh air to penetrate from the outside through the channels 32 into the interior of the sewing machine housing. As Fig. 3 shows, a lever 35 is mounted at 70 in the upper housing part 1, which is set by the main drive shaft 15 in an up and down movement by known means which articulately attack it at 71. This lever goes through the slot 67 of the upper housing part 1 and carries a knife 72 outside the housing for cutting the fabric parallel to the seam.
This lever 35 is now provided behind the slot 67 in the department 1 ″ of the upper housing part 1 with a curved plate 37 which prevents oil from escaping through the slot 67 and squirts the oil it traps downwards.
From FIG. 3 it can also be seen that, in a manner known per se, the knife-gate bars 26 are moved up and down by a lifting rocker 45 mounted on the main drive shaft 15 g o, in which they are mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The feeder bars 26 carry the feeder bars 73 and 74. The longitudinal movement of the feeder bars 26 is carried out by a feed rocker shaft 43, from which the one feeder bar 26 is driven directly, the other via a wing 44 on which a lever 75 is attached at 76 is, which is articulated by means of an eye 77 to a crosshead 78 which is longitudinally displaceable on the one fabric slide bar 26 and is firmly connected to the other fabric slide bar. This drive of the knife bar 26 is known to see.
It is only essential here that, as shown in FIG. 13 on a larger scale, the eye 7 7 is provided with a nose 79 which throws the oil caught by the lever 75 and the eye 77 downwards.
In order to prevent detrimental heating of the air inside the sewing machine housing, air inlet openings are provided in the lower part of the housing and air outlet openings in the upper part of the housing. It has already been mentioned that air can enter the lower part of the housing through the channels 32.
In addition, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3, the cover 10 is arranged with its lower edge at a distance from the edge 58 of the lower housing part 3, so that there is an air inlet opening 38 through which air enters the lower housing part 3 and into the Zwischenraiun 53 can occur.
From the department 3 'of the lower housing part 3 .the air can easily penetrate into the department 1 "of the upper housing part and from there through the opening 9 in the intermediate wall 92 into the AbteilinLg 1' of the upper housing part 1. So that the air 3, 5 and 7, the wall 6 is provided with an opening 39 through which the air can enter the space 53.
From the space 53, the air can exit through an opening 80 which is arranged on the rear wall of the lid 10, but could also be arranged on an end wall of the same.
