Une forme et une variante d'exécution du robinet objet de l'invention iseront maintenant décrites,à titre dexemple, en référence au dessin annexé. La figure1 est une vue en coupe longitu dinale d'un robinet selon l'invention en posi tion d'ouverture; la figure 2 est une vue analogueà la figure 1, dans laquelle l'obturateur primaire est fermé tandis que lobturateur secondaire est ouvert la figure3 cg une vue analogueà la fi gure1, dans laquelle les deux obturateurs sont fermés;
Tap or similar device Taps and similar devices generally include a shutter and a seat movable relative to each other between a closed position and one or more opening positions, the seal being ensured between the shutter and the seat either by direct metal-to-metal contact, or by interposing a 61astic seal fixed on the shutter or on the seat.
The valve is, on the point of being closed, the fluid passing through the space between the plug and the seat has, as will be understood, increased violence and this is often at the origin of a deterioration Either of the metal contact surfaces or of the elastic seal.
This deterioration, which is directly caused by cavitation phenomena or by the abrasive effect of solid particles transported by the fluid, in particular in hydraulic installations, makes it necessary to frequently replace worn parts.
In addition to this drawback, the adjustment of the shut-off of the tap by automatic control means is generally delicate and requires precise and expensive apparatus, as well as close monitoring to prevent the shutter from being moved. with insufficient or excessive amplitude towards the seat, which would cause a faulty closure or damage to the equipment.
The valve or similar device which is the subject of the present invention is free from these drawbacks and allows, with a simple and durable construction, complete sealing and easy adjustment of the closure. It is characterized in that it comprises two concentric annular shutters intended to be applied successively against their seats when the valve is closed, the shutter is closed with the first shutter, called primary shutter, being made of a hard and resistant material as well as its seat, while an elastic seal is placed between the other shutter, called shutter, secondary valve, and the seat of this one,
a single control being provided to move the two shutters and comprising at least one transmission member rigidly fixed to the secondary shutter and connected to the primary shutter by the intermediary 'an elastic device, so that the movement of the transmission member in the direction of closing of the valve simultaneously moves the two shutters without deformation of the elastic device up to 'closing of the primary shutter, then causes the closure of the shutter to condare, by deforming the elastic device.
Thanks to this arrangement, a perfect seal is ensured while considerably prolonging the length of the elastic seal. In ef- fet, it is not directly subjected to Perosion of the fluid jet which is exerted mainly against the organs which oppose the passage of the jet, that is to say the primary shutter and its seat in hard materials. When this shutter is closed, the liquid jet is thus stopped as a whole, but leaks due to the absence of an elastic seal in the primary shutter can occur.
The closing of the secondary shutter with elastic seal then definitively condemns such leaks - too small to cause any damage or wear of the elastic seal On the other hand, the movement of the member for closing the valve moves the two shutters together without deformation of the elastic device until the primary shutter closes, then causes the secondary shutter to close, the elastic device deforming. The control -of the valve is also very simple and requires only approximate precision -in the adjustment of the stroke of the transmission members, -which allows the use of inexpensive devices and only requiring monitoring -scaled down.
In one application -of the invention to valves of the so-called to hollow jet type with needle and discharge sleeve movable relative to to the other, the primary shutter is formed by this sleeve, -and its seat by the needle, while the secondary shutter is constituted by an annular body movably mounted around the primary shutter and arranged to be applied by the intermediate of the elastic seal against a zone of the needle surrounding the zone where the primary shutter is applied.
In one embodiment, the elastic seal is fixed to a zone of the needle sheltered by a de unredan of the latter of the jet coming from the primary shutter when this shutter is open, while in a variant the elastic seal is disposed at the end of the secondary shutter and sheltered by the primary shutter forming a mask of the jet coming from said primary shutter when the latter is open.
A form and an alternative embodiment of the valve object of the invention will now be described, to by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing. Figure 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of a valve according to the invention in the open position ; Figure 2 is a view similar to Figure 1, in which the primary shutter is closed while the secondary shutter is open Figure 3 cg a view similar to </ B > the fi gure 1, in which the two shutters are closed ;
Figure 4 is a longitudinal sectional view of a variant of the valve according to Vinven- n in the fully closed position.
In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3, a conduit or a fluid reservoir, for example liquid, comprises a vertical tubular end 10 for discharging the tines. to be traversed from top to bottom by the liquid and provided at its end with a horizontal circular mouth 11. < / B>
The valve according to the invention, mounted on the discharge-nozzle 10, comprises a sleeve 12 mounted so to being able to grout ser on the outside of the nozzle 10. An annular sealing ring 13, fixed to the nozzle 10, is disposed between the latter and the sleeve 12 to prevent any leakage of liquid. The sleeve 12 has a flange 14.
A cylindrical sleeve 18, called the secondary shutter for reasons which will appear later, is so to able to slide around of the lower part of the sleeve 12. An annular seal of 6tan- chéi, tee 19, fixed to the sleeve 12, is arranged between the latter and the sleeve 18 to prevent any liquid leakage. The sheath 18 has at its upper end a ce, and 20.
Vertical control rods 21 re linked to a control device such as a servomotor or other member are arranged around a circumference around the vertical end piece 10. Each rod 21 is fixed by the end at 22 to the collar 20 and freely passes through a vertical passage 23 made at this ef- fet in the flange 14. A stop collar 24 is attached to each rod 21 below the flange 14, while a stop collar 25 </ B > em is fixed to each rod 21 above the flange 14.
A compression coil spring 26 is placed around each rod 21 between the flange 14 and the collar 25. The collars 24 and 25 are arranged on the pin 21 so that at rest, the spring 26 disposed between the flange 14 and the collar 25 maintains the collar 24 in the con -tact of the flange 14.
A its lower end, the sleeve or primary obturator 12 has a mouth 27 having a conical chamfer 28 intended to </ B > come to rest against a fixed conical needle 29 forming a seat, supported at 30 by fins 31 four in number, for example , fixed in 32 to the de- -c # arge 10. The needle 29 is extended to </ B > its lower part by a cylindrical wall 33. The wall 33 has a diameter slightly less than the internal diameter of the sleeve 18.
An elastic annular seal 34 has an upper portion 35 swollen with a diameter slightly greater than the inside diameter # u sheath 18 and a lower portion of flat shape 36. </ B> A metal circle 37 fixed by screws 38 to the wall 33 is engaged around part 36 and maintains the seal 34 fixed and applied against the wall 33. The secondary sheath or obturator 18 is intended to cover the swollen part 35, forming a seat, of the gasket 34 and, to avoid tearing or other de- gradation of the gasket, the lower edge of the oven rake -is rounded in 39.
The valve is shown in the open position to in Figure 1. In this position, the rods 21 are kept raised so that the sleeve or primary shutter 12, retained by the flange 14 on the collars 24 of the rods, has its chamfered end 28 spaced above the needle 29, the spring 26 being relaxed , while the obturator is 18 integral with the rods 21 at its lower edge 39 disposed above the mouth 27.
To close the valve, the stems 21 are lowered. The secondary sheath or shutter 18 integral with the stems 21 is lowered and the spring 26 is rigid enough to cause the Simultaneous lowering of the sleeve or primary shutter 12 without being compressed. When the chamfered end 28 of the primary obturator comes into contact with the needle 29 (figure 2) ,. liquid is prevented from passing between the mouth 27 and the needle 29, subject to some leakage. It </ B > is to note that the annular seal 13 prevents any leakage between the end 10 and the sleeve 12.
When the downward movement of the stems 21 is continued, the secondary sheath or shutter 18 continues to to be lowered, while the spring 26 is compressed (fig. 3). The secondary obturator 18 covers and compresses the swollen part 35 of the seal 34. The leaks the aforementioned between the mouth 27 and the point 29 are thus stopped by the seal 35 as well as by the seal 19. The tap is then completely sealed.
The closing of the valve therefore takes place in two successive phases. In * the first phase, the sleeve 12, called for this reason its primary shutter, s% piques against the needle 29 and stops most of the jet. In the second phase, the sleeve 18, called for this reason shutter condaire, completes the closing of the valve in a sealed manner. During the first phase, the elastic sealing gasket 34, by its position around the cylindrical wall 33, is protected from the violent jet from the primary valve and during the second phase, it is not exposed only to very low deterioration from the fluid jet. The seal can thus have a very long duration.
To open the valve, all you have to do is lift the rods 21. In their upward movement, the rods first cause the sleeve 18, to rise, the springs 26 returning to the idle state. Then the collars 24 come into contact with the flange 14 and the sleeve 12 is raised to the desired opening position of the valve. As a variant (fig. 4), the overall arrangement remains substantially the same as that shown in Figures 1 to 3 with a primary shutter and a secondary shutter. However, -in this variant, the seal is fixed to the secondary shutter and not to the seat thereof.
In addition, some construction details are changed.
A in FIG. 4, we see at .40 the vertical discharge nozzle at lower mouth 41 of a conduit or fluid reservoir. Four radial fins 42, for example, are attached at 43 to the de- load end cap 40. A fixed needle 44 is supported at 45 by the fins. 42, at distance below the mouth 41.
An annular body 46 forming a secondary shutter comprises a cylindrical wall 47 mounted so to be able to slide on the discharge nozzle 40. An annular seal 48 attached to < / B> the tip 40 is inserted between # this # and the wall 47. The body 46 has the general shape of a circular ring of section in U, with the internal cylindrical wall 47, a bottom 49 and an external cylindrical wall 50 provided with a collar 51 curved at right angles.
Control rods 52 distributed along the circumference of the collar 51 are fixed to the latter at 53. Plates stiffening radials 54 are arranged inside the inside of the ring and fixed to the walls 47, 49 and 50.
The body 46 comprises under the bottom 49 a cylindrical wall 55 of diameter between the diameters of the walls 47 and 50 and a conical wall 56 extending downward and inward to from the lower edge of the pa king 50.
An annular seal 57 having a swollen part 60 is inserted between the wall 56 -and a circle 58 </ B> fixed to the wall 56 by screws and nuts 59. The bulging part 60 of the joint 57 is disposed downward beyond the wall 56 and the circle 58 and is intended for be applied against the needle 44.
The primary shutter of the valve, disposed inside the interior of the secondary shutter thus formed, comprises a cylindrical wall 61 having a chamfered lower mouth 62 </ B> intended to be applied against the pin 44. The wall 61 is coaxial with the pa king 47 and has the same diameter as the latter. The wall 61 is provided with an upper collar 63 parallel to the bottom 49 and applied against the p # a- king 55. A ring of compression 64 in an elastic material is disposed between the collar 63 and the bottom 49.
The bottom 49, the ring 64 and the collar let 63 are joined by a circular row of studs 65 which cross them at 66. Each stud 65 has at its two ends a stop 67 formed, for example, by a head or a screwed nut, so that in the rest or non-compression position of the ring 64, the stops 67 are in contact with the bottom 49 and the collar 63 .
The operation is similar to that described- with reference to figures 1 to 3. In the valve opening position, the rods 52 are raised and the mouthpiece 62 and the seal 57 are spread above the needle 44, the -at 64 being at rest. In this open position, the joint 57 is protected by the pa king 61 of the jet emerging between it and the needle.
To close the tap, the stems 52 are lowered until the mouthpiece 62 is pressed against the needle 44. The primary shutter is thus closed, while that the seal 57 being moved away from the needle, the shutter remains open. The continued downward movement of the 52 rods causes a further descent of the secondary shutter, the ring 64 being compressed until the part 60 of the seal 57 is applied against the needle 44.
As in the embodiment # shown in Figures 1 to 3, the valve is closed! Therefore in two successive phases during which respectively the primary shutter, then the secondary shutter, close. Here again, the 57 seal remains protected from the jet coming from the primary shutter.
To open the valve, # lift the stems 52, which first opens the shutter and then the primary shutter.
