Roller lock for storing inking unit rollers on letterpress, offset printing. and the like machines Inking rollers are usually coated with rubber, gelatin or the like and are used to rub the printing ink and transfer it from a steel; drum onto the other, or from a steel drum onto the printing form. It must therefore be possible to adjust these Parbwerk rollers with two rollers for precise contact.
Gum and gelatine wear out or change in other ways, and a variable diameter must be expected. Is the setting as well as switching on and off done by. Eccentric, then each roller lock must have at least three eccentrics one inside the other. One of these three eccentrics is used to turn it on and off, the other two to adjust the rollers.
When the machine is at a standstill, he wants the inking unit rollers to drum the steel or not to touch the mold, so that there are no areas in the rubber or gelatine covering in the long run. The inking unit rollers must therefore be able to be switched off from the steel drums in such a way that when they are switched on again, the position previously set is reached again.
The Parbwerk rollers must be able to be installed and removed without great effort, since rubber and gelatine wear out or become round.
These conditions are met by already known roller supports that are in the wall. are stored, the bearing pin protrudes on the inside of the machine wall and the wall can be operated from the outside of the machine. The setting of such roller supports is cumbersome in that the contact between the inking unit rollers and the steel drums or the mold on the inside of the machine must be controlled, while the adjustment must be made on the outside.
Since this type of roller supports takes up space both on the inside of the machine wall and on the outside, it is often difficult to accommodate the drive gears and their gear boxes for driving the steel drum.
There are also roller locks known that are on the inside of the machine wall, and from the outside, where the drive wheels for the steel drums are advantageously, do not have to be used. Such roller locks have been designed for machines in which the inking unit rollers either cannot be turned on and off, but can only be adjusted, or for machines in which the roller locks are all or in groups connected by rods, so that the inking unit rollers all together or can be turned on and off in groups.
The first of the two variants has the disadvantage that, as mentioned at the beginning, surfaces are created by the permanent contact of the roll cover to the steel drums; the latter is expensive and complicated.
The roller lock according to the invention includes means for mounting the inking unit rollers, means for adjusting the position of the inking unit roller in relation to the other rollers of the inking unit, means for turning the inking unit on and off to and from the remaining rollers of the inking unit, and Means for installing and removing the inking unit roller are available.
The roller lock is characterized in that the means for connecting and disconnecting and for installing and removing the inking roller are arranged on the outside of the machine.
and can be operated from this side, and all other means on the inside of the machine are connected and operated and can be operated from there.
The roller lock according to the invention is. on the accompanying drawing, for example, represents.
1 shows a section through the roller lock.
Fig. 2 shows a disposition in connexion with the steel drums.
The eccentric sleeve 2 is rotatably mounted in the machine wall 1 and is held in place by a clamp 3 and screw 3a. A second eccentric bushing 4 is rotatably mounted in the eccentric bushing 2 and is by means of a clamp 5 and screw 5a. held.
In the Exzent.erbüchse 4, the pin 6 is rotatably mounted; this has an eccentric pin 7, which by means of a Ku gellager 8 carries the inking unit roller 9 .. The pin 6 carries a Stiftsehraube 10, the head in an annular groove. 11 of the eccentric bushing 4 engages. If the pin 6 is now rotated so that the pin 10 fits into the longitudinal groove 1: 2 in the eccentric bushing 4, the pin 6 can be axially displaced for installing and removing the inking roller 9.
In the outer end of the pin 6 is also a pin. 13 inserted, the protruding part in the: slot 14 of the coupling sleeve 1'5 engages. This part 15 is mounted, together with the bolt 16, so that it can move axially in the bush 17 of the pin 6. and also has a tooth 18 which, under the pressure of the spring 19, engages in one of the two notches 20 and 21 which the eccentric bushing 4 has at the outer end.
The notch 20 holds the pin 6, for example, in such a way that the inking unit roller is engaged, while the notch 21 corresponds to a rotation of the roller into the parked position. A universal ball joint 25 is connected to the outer end of the bolt 16, the second end of which is guided in a cylindrical sleeve 2'3. is., which carries a handle 22 on the outside. The sleeve 23 itself is guided in a cylindrical bore 23a of a wheel case 24.
By pulling and turning on the handle 22, the one or other detent position can be reached for the purpose of turning the Parbwerkwalze on or off; the exit position can also be reached when pin. 10 in the longitudinal groove 12: the eccentric bushing 4 fits. The screw 26 serves as a stop and prevents. through her. Length of pulling the pin out too far 6.
Turning the inking roller 9 on and off, as well as installing and removing it, is thus possible by actuating the operating handle 22, while the inking roller 9 is adjusted to the steel drums 27 (FIG. 2) by adjusting and holding the eccentric terbüehsen 2 and 4 with screws 3. or 5a can take place.
