Caisse pliante
la fig. 1 représente une première forme d'exécution dépliée;
la fig. 2 représente cette même forme d'exécution à l'état plié
les fig. 3 et 4 sont des vues analogues à celles des fig. 1 et 2 et concernant une deuxième forme d'exécution;
les fig. 5 et 6 représentent de même une troisième forme d'exécution;
les fig. 7 à 9 représentent, respectivement, le pêne, le socle et la gâche d'un verrou;
la fig. 10 représente un verrou assemblé et bloqué;
Folding crate
The invention relates to a folding box, the volume of which, in the folded position, is substantially reduced to the volume of the superimposed panels, these panels being, in the position of use of the box, secured to each other by special locks thanks to which the transformations of the whole are quick and easy.
The box which is the subject of the invention consists of rigid panels, for example made of wood, plastic or molded material, metal, etc. The panels, solid or hollow, can also be made from a combination of different materials and their strength will be reinforced, if necessary by rebates.
Said case is characterized in that the side panels are connected to the bottom panel and the cover panel to one of the side panels, the side panels and the cover panel being able to fold over one another. above and below the bottom, certain panels of the body being provided with locks each of which is constituted by a bolt with hooks sliding on a base fixed on a panel, the hooks being intended to penetrate in the keepers fixed on the edge of the panel adjacent, so as to make the panels integral with each other when the body is in the position of use.
Several embodiments of the folding box forming the subject of the invention are described below, by way of nonlimiting examples, with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which
fig. 1 shows a first unfolded embodiment;
fig. 2 shows this same embodiment in the folded state
figs. 3 and 4 are views similar to those of FIGS. 1 and 2 and relating to a second embodiment;
figs. 5 and 6 likewise represent a third embodiment;
figs. 7 to 9 represent, respectively, the bolt, the base and the keeper of a lock;
fig. 10 shows a lock assembled and locked;
figs. 11 and 12 show a device for lateral retention of the cover.
The three embodiments shown all include four side panels hinged to a bottom panel and a cover panel hinged to a side panel. They are distinguished by the relative dimensions of their panels and by their different appearance when folded.
Figs. I and 2 represent a first embodiment, the interior height of which does not exceed half of the interior width.
The cover panel is then divided in the longitudinal direction into two equal parts 4 and 5, articulated one on the other as shown in FIG. 1. To fold the crate, two opposite side panels 1 and 2 must be folded over the bottom panel 3, part 4 of the cover panel over part 5 and this part over the panel 2 to which it is hinged. The small side panels 6 and 7 are folded down under the bottom panel 3 (fig. 2). In the folded state, the box therefore comprises, over one half of its width, five panel thicknesses, that is to say the small panels 6 and 7, the bottom panel 3, the panel 2 and the parts 5 and 4. On the other half, on the other hand, it only comprises three layers, that is to say the panels 6 and 7, the bottom panel 3 and the panel 1.
In the embodiment, shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the interior height does not exceed the interior width of the bottom panel, which itself does not exceed half of the interior length (fig. 3). To fold the crate, a large side panel 8 is folded over the bottom panel 9, the large opposite side panel 10 over the panel 8 and the cover panel 11 over the panel 10 to which it is hinged. The small side panels 12 and 13 are, as in the first embodiment, folded under the bottom panel 3. FIG. 4 shows that the folded body only comprises five thicknesses of panels.
The embodiment shown in FIGS.
5 and 6 comprises panels of relative dimensions such that it comprises, in the folded state, six thicknesses of panels. To fold the crate, a side panel 14 is folded over the bottom panel 15, the opposite side panel 16 over the panel 14, the cover panel 17 over the panel 16 to which it is hinged, a side panel 18 under the bottom panel 15 and the opposite side panel 19 under the side panel 18.
In the three embodiments shown, the side panels are provided with locks serving to keep them integral with one another in the position of use (fig. 10). Each of these locks comprises a base 20 fixed on a side panel 21 by the guide screws g, two strikers 24 fixed on an adjacent panel 25 and a bolt 26.
The bolt 26, shown separately in FIG. 7, consists of a metal plate, the upper part e of which is curved and which comprises two hooks c. In variants, this part e could comprise a number of hooks c other than two, for example, only one. These hooks are placed in the plane of the metal plate, but, in variants, their position could be different depending on the requirements of the assembly, for example perpendicular to this plane. Between the body of the bolt and the hooks c are formed interstices d, the function of which will be explained below. The bolt also has two longitudinal slots i. In variants, the bolt could have a number of lights other than two, for example only one.
The base 20, shown separately in FIG. 8, consists of a metal plate comprising fixing holes k and elevations or longitudinal cords f. This base 20 is fixed with the bolt 26 near the edge of a panel, for example on the panel 21 of FIG. 10, by two guide screws g (fig. 8) whose heads emerge above the slots i and which pass through these slots, the holes k of the base and the thickness of the panel. The bolt can therefore slide longitudinally on the cords f, an arrangement which reduces its friction on the base, the stroke of the bolt being guided and limited by the slots i and the heads of the screws g.
In a variant, the cords f could be replaced by a succession of bosses.
A keeper 24 has been shown separately in FIG. 9. It consists of a U-shaped metal part whose branches each have a hole 1 allowing the fixing of the keeper, the opposite faces of which grip the edge of a panel, for example of the panel 25 of FIG. 10. The keeper is placed on the edge of the panel such that this edge does not cover a slot h made in one of the uprights of the U-profile.
The different parts being assembled as it has just been described, the lock is put into action as follows: the panels 21 and 25 being brought together, the hooks c are then located above the passages formed by the profiles of the protruding strikers. the edge of the panel. To block, all you have to do is slide the bolt 26 downwards by pressing on the bent part e. The hooks c then engage in the keeps, the interstices d fitting into the bottoms of the slots h so as to securely lock the two panels. When the cover of the body is closed, the panel which constitutes it rests on the bent parts of the bolts and the bolts are thus blocked.
The closed cover is held laterally in position by a device shown in FIGS. 1 1 and 12. On the edge of the cover 27 opposite to that carrying the hinges is fixed a metal plate 28 carrying a tongue 29. The corresponding edge of the side panel 30 is provided with a keeper constituted by a recess 31 made in the panel and a metal plate 32 closing this recess towards the inside of the body. The same side panel also carries on the outside a part 33 having an opening 34 through which a wire or a strapping tape can be passed, the retention of which is thus ensured.
In some embodiments, when it is necessary to isolate the body from damp ground, square-shaped feet are arranged under the body bottom so as to leave the passage of the sides folding under it. background.
