Junction box in a channel in which a gaseous medium flows The present invention relates to a junction box in a channel through which a gaseous medium flows and it enables the box to be designed in such a way that a certain amount of gaseous medium is evenly distributed over the entire outlet area and with uniform speed perpendicular to the exit surface.
The accompanying drawing illustrates an example of the subject matter of the invention and shows a box A installed in channel B and attached to the grid C, namely: FIG. 1 shows a horizontal groove of the box, FIG. 2 shows the same from the front, FIG. 3 shows a vertical one Cross section along line II in FIG. 1.
The box consists of: a) 5 flat walls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The walls 2, 3, 4, 5 are folded around the rear wall 1. and not connected to one another. The rear wall 1 is provided with slots directed transversely to the direction of flow in channel B. It forms a firm, smooth inlet wall of an air inlet grille that is free of protruding air guide elements on its inlet side.
The box A is fastened to the frame of the grid C through the walls 2 and 3 by means of screws.
The walls 2 and 3 protrude somewhat beyond the wall 5. b) Inside the box A and adjacent to the rear wall 1, an adjustable slotted and deflecting wall 6 is attached to regulate the amount of medium and to bring it vertically to the exit surface of the box by means of the lobes mentioned below. This wall 6 is attached to the wall 1 by means of two screws and can be moved thanks to the slots 7 after loosening the water screws.
It also has slots which are directed transversely to the direction of flow in channel B and cooperate with the aforementioned slots, which are formed by tabs punched out of the wall 6 on both narrow sides and one long side, which are bent inwards around the other long side, that they are directed perpendicular to the exit surface of the box.
The box is designed and installed in such a way that the channel section between wall 1 and the opposite channel wall gradually tapers in the direction of flow in channel B.
The front end wall 4 causes a back pressure and vortices, while behind the rear end wall 5 a negative pressure is created.
With partially or completely open slots it can happen that too little gaseous medium flows through the first slots and too much through the last one. In order to avoid this, the walls 4 and 5, which are normally full on the lattice frame, are slightly ventilated, by bending them up around their junction with wall 1. To make the regulation finer in the larger wall 5, are the walls 2 and 3 are somewhat extended beyond the wall 5.
c) The box A is provided with an outlet grille C, which, thanks to the horizontal rotatable profile rods 8, promotes the mixing effect of the flowing gaseous medium with the medium outside the channel.
Depending on the rotational position of the rods 8, the flow can be directed forwards, upwards or downwards. Vertical rods could also be used, which make it possible to direct the flow to the left or to the right. However, an exit grille does not necessarily have to be present.
