Centrifugal pump housing The invention relates to a rotary pump housing which is particularly suitable for very helical gear pumps, but can also be used for other types of centrifugal pumps.
The centrifugal pump housing according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the volute housing parts, the pressure port, an outer part of at least one inlet junction, the suction port and a ring which serves as a support for an insert cover and closes the outer part of the inlet housing on the outside are made of sheet metal and are welded together in one piece.
Welded housing parts are known in particular for larger pumps, but so far only the volute casing has been welded, whereas the inlet connection and the supports for the shaft bearing have been cast and attached to the volute casing.
The design according to the invention achieves essential advantages. The pump housing can now be formed in one piece from parts that are welded together, without having to accept excessive weight. The transport and assembly costs are significantly reduced, and the transport to hard-to-reach operating locations is also made much easier and, in some cases, even made possible in the first place. By eliminating the model costs and savings in working time, a reduction in manufacturing costs can be achieved.
In the drawing, the invention is explained schematically on plan of .Exemplary examples.
1 and 2 show a centrifugal pump housing for an impeller acted upon on both sides, FIG. 2 being a view in the axial direction and FIG. 1 partly a view, partly a section along line I-1 of FIG. 2.
Fig. 3, 4 and 5 show a centrifugal pump housing for a unilaterally acted upon running wheel, again Fig. 5 is a view in axia Ler direction, Fig. 4 is a view in the direction of arrow IV of Fig.5 and Fig.3 represents a section along line III-III of FIG.
Fig. 6 shows a centrifugal pump housing for a two-sided .beaufschlagtes impeller in section with installation parts shown in dashed lines in view.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the essential part of the spiral housing 1 is formed from a cylindrical sheet metal jacket 2 welded together with two flat side walls 3. As FIG. 2 shows, the cylinder jacket 2 is arranged eccentrically to the axis x of the impeller. The pressure port 4 is connected to the spiral housing. For each side of the spiral housing 1, an inlet housing 5 is connected to the corresponding side wall 3 of the spiral housing in the embodiment provided.
The two inlet housings 5 together with the spiral housing 1 form the centrifugal pump housing. The former each have a cylindrical sheet metal jacket 6 of an outer inlet housing part. Each of the two insert covers shown in FIG. 6 is supported by a ring 7 that closes off the respective inlet housing 5 towards the outside. The cylindrical sheet metal jacket 6 of each inlet housing part merges at 8 into the suction nozzle 9.
The side walls 3 of the volute casing 1 and the rings 7 of the running casing 5 r = iron circular openings 10 and 11 through which the impeller 16 with the pump shaft 17 is inserted and in which the \ VellenlageiLingen 18 and the insert cover 19 from a piece of existing inner inlet housing part 20 "are housed un (Fig.6).
The inner inlet housing part 20 forms. at the same time the inner termination of the spiral housing 1 and takes over. thus part of its function, so that compared to known designs either the space of the volute casing is increased or the pump casing itself can be kept smaller in its outer diameter, which means that its weight is also smaller.
In terms of flow technology, the welded sheet metal version offers special advantages, since despite the reduction in weight, large flow cross-sections and thus low flow losses in the inlet housings can be achieved, so that, for example, an average flow rate of less than 2 m / sec. sustained.
In order to achieve the required rigidity, the sheet metal jackets 6 of the outer inlet housing parts are stiffened with respect to the spiral housing 1. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, this stiffening of each of these jackets 6 is achieved by a truncated cone-shaped sheet metal 12 which is welded ver with the corresponding jacket 6 and the associated side wall 3 of the spiral housing 1. This sheet 12 can, if appropriate, also have perforations.
However, the stiffening can also be done in other ways, e.g. B. by individual sheet metal ribs, he follow. The sheet metal jacket 6 forms in the example provided that mainly carry the part of the outer inlet housing part. However, instead of this, the sheet metal 12 could also form the main load-bearing part, so that the sheet metal jacket 6 would then serve to guide the water and for reinforcement.
All sheet metal parts are united by seam welding, whereby the welding points are easily accessible. If necessary, the sheet metal parts can also be joined by spot welding. A foot 13 is welded to each side of the transition part 8 to the suction nozzle 9. With 14 eyes be marked, which can serve as gripping points for a crane during assembly.
3, 4 and 5 represent, analogously to FIGS. 1 and 2, a centrifugal pump housing for an impeller acted upon on one side. Here, too, the spiral housing 1 'consists essentially of a cylindrical sheet metal jacket 2' and two flat side walls 3 ', while the only inlet gel housing .5 'has an outer inlet housing part which has a cylindrical sheet metal jacket 6' and which is closed off to the outside by the ring 7 '. The sheet metal jacket 6 'passes over again at 8' into the suction nozzle 9 '.
Here, too, stiffening is provided by a sheet metal 12 'shaped like a truncated cone. The side walls 3 'of the spiral housing 1' and the ring 7 'wei sen also openings 10' and 11 'for the introduction and storage of the impeller, not shown. According to FIG. 5, a foot 13 'is only welded on the side of the transition part 8' to the suction nozzle 9 'facing away from the pressure nozzle 4', while the corresponding missing foot on the side of the pressure nozzle 4 'is connected to the pressure nozzle 4 on both sides 'Welded feet 15 is replaced.
