Description
Building block The present invention relates to a building block which has complementary engagement teeth on two opposing abutment sides, the teeth having inclined flanks and the teeth of one abutment side to those of the other abutment side are laterally offset by half the tooth pitch, so that when adding one If one module is to be used on another, the tooth side surfaces of the already offset module serve as guide surfaces for the corresponding tooth and the module to be attached.
This allows a quick and correct positioning of such blocks with the formation of multiple angled butt joints according to the course of the engagement teeth, which allows these blocks to be mutually brought into a resistant association without mortar having to be used for the butt sides: moving the blocks can done by unskilled workers. Through the joint he mentioned from the straight line, an effective barrier against the ingress of air and moisture is produced in their area at the same time.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the block. 1 shows the building block in a diagram, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of two staggered building blocks according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows, on a larger scale, a partial representation of the building blocks offset according to FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 shows parts of several rails from Rows of stones.
The stone shown is a large format stone made of baked clay, which has a system of vertically continuous channels 1, which are delimited by narrow, intersecting walls, so that the stone represents a grid-like structure. The channel partitions in the zone of the two diagonals are closer to each other than the others (see Fig. 3). On the opposite two vertical abutment sides of the building stone is provided with complementary engagement gears 3, -1, which gears 3 and 4 form the same with each other, but are offset to each other by half the tooth pitch laterally.
The toothing 3 has three identical, relatively wide teeth, the toothing 4 has two middle, broader teeth, each of which is joined by half as wide a tooth. The engagement teeth have sloping flanks and are rounded on the head and on the crest. The straight tooth flanks 5 when joining such blocks together as guide surfaces are each in alignment or form the extension of one of the parallel channel walls mentioned, where the teeth contribute accordingly to the stiffening of the block.
The block has. 3 (not shown in the other figures) perpendicular grooves 6 in the area of the teeth 3 and 4, through which a corresponding number of vertically continuous air channels between tween the intermeshing teeth offset blocks are formed. Toothing shapes 3 and 4 extend the heat conduction path and thus increase the -4Vä.rme- conductive resistance.
When moving blocks of the type described ben, a layer of mortar 7 is applied to each offset stone layer, as can be seen from Fig..1. Instead of being made of baked clay, the building block can be a lime sandstone.
