Description
Stain cleaners It is known to use organic fat solvents to remove stains. Furthermore, it is also known to thicken such fat solvents by adding mineral fillers, such as clay, magnesia, bentonite and the like, and to process them into a paste. Such pastes have the advantage over the liquid stain cleaners that the dirt is loosened from the substrate to be cleaned, deposited on the mineral carrier and together with it after the solvent has evaporated, e.g.
B. is removed by brushing; the formation of unsightly rings that often occur when using liquid stain cleaners is thus avoided.
The present invention is a stain cleaner in paste form, which is characterized by a content of highly dispersed silicon dioxide and at least one volatile organic fat solvent.
It has been found that the use of fumed silica, such as. B. silica gel or the products under the names Aerosil, Hi-Sil, Santocel and the like in the trade Pro, compared to the mineral fillers previously proposed for this purpose be offers special advantages,
by processing a certain amount of solvent to make a paste of suitable consistency with significantly less silicon dioxide than was the case with the previously known fillers. The adsorption capacity of such highly dispersed silicon dioxide is particularly great, and therefore even a small amount of silicon dioxide may be able to absorb a relatively large amount of dissolved fat and contaminants.
In addition, silicon dioxide is characterized by the fact that it is completely inert.
