II. Nach dem Verfahren gemäss Patentanspruch I hergestellte Bürste.
Process for the manufacture of a brush from thermoplastic material and the brush manufactured according to this process.
The present invention relates to a method for producing a brush made of thelmop] astisehem material with a bristle provided on the white surface of a trough-shaped bristle carrier and lying in planes arranged in rays.
According to the methods of this type known up to now, a flat bristle carrier with provided, mutually aligned bristles is first made in an injection mold, where the brush body is drawn onto a back part of an elongated brush body with a rounded cross-section. that the bristles run radially.
According to the method according to the invention, an injection molding process is used to produce a molded part with a definitely designed bristle carrier and bristle facing.
The invention also relates to a brush produced by this method.
In the following, the manufacturing methods of two exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained using the accompanying drawings.
1 and 2 show, in cross-sections, a four-part injection mold for producing the U-shaped base with bristle facing for the brush after the first embodiment, and
3 and 4 show, in a longitudinal section and in a cross-section, a four-part injection mold for installing the brush according to the second embodiment.
In Figs. 1 and 2, a is the end plate of an injection mold with a segment-like injection molding part a1 and two T-shaped guide grooves a2 formed on both sides of the latter, with which correspondingly shaped guide parts bl of two lateral, displaceable, segment-like injection molding parts b engage stand. These three injection-molded parts together form a trough-shaped depression with slightly conical holes extending therefrom and lying in planes arranged in a radial pattern, the size of which corresponds to the bristles of the brush to be produced.
The two lateral injection mold parts b form on their upper side a flat support surface on which a plate c, forming the fourth injection mold part of the injection mold, rests, which is provided with a core part cl which engages in the trough-shaped recess formed by the other injection mold parts and which together with the the latter forms a semi-annular cross-section injection chamber into which a spray channel c2 provided in the plate c opens through which a thermoplastic material, such as. B. polyethylene, is injected in a heated, liquid state.
After the cooling time necessary to solidify the injected material, an injection molded part with a definitive design can be removed from the injection mold, the plate c of which has been removed and the injection mold parts b, as shown in FIG. 2, which has a cross section U-shaped, has a base d provided with hook-shaped longitudinal edge parts d2, on which bristles dl are provided, which lie in planes arranged in a radial manner. The fact that the bristles of this molded part can be pulled out of the injection molded parts is due to the fact that the material from which the molded part is made is elastic.
The molded part d, dl is then pushed onto an elongated brush body (not shown) provided with a handle, although it would also be possible to spray it directly onto a brush body, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4.
In these two figures, an injection mold similar to that in FIGS. 1 and 2 is shown, which in turn is composed of four injection mold parts m, n and o. As a result of the analogy between these two injection molds, it should be superfluous to describe the second injection mold in detail. It should only be pointed out that here an elongated brush body p with a U-shaped cross section, which can consist of a different thermoplastic material than the above-mentioned injection-molded part, for example polymetacrylate, rests on the core part ml of the injection-molded part m. which protrudes tightly from the mold on one side. The molded part is therefore injected directly onto the brush body and does not have to be applied to the same afterwards.
In both forms, however, the injection molded part is injected in its definitive design, once as a separate component of the brush that still has to be applied to the brush body, and the other as an integral part of the brush.
