(i) un jeu d'objectifs interchangeables 7,
Projection device.
The present invention relates to a projection apparatus such as a profile or surface projector, and which comprises a lighting device, at least one optical projection device, a screen and an object-holder table which can be moved along. the optical axis.
These projector devices make it possible to control the shapes of parts placed on the object-carrying table by measuring their enlarged images projected on the screen. These devices are generally equipped with a set of interchangeable objectives allowing different magnifications to be achieved. On the other hand, they do not include devices for measuring the position of the object-holder table with respect to the object-plane of each of said objective objects. We just focus on the screen, the image of the plane of the object to be examined.
We admit that then this plane is exactly in the object plane of the objective.
However, it often happens that the exact adjustment in the object plane of the objective is made difficult by the condition of a surface, for example in the case of a rough surface. As the operator cannot determine with certainty the position of the object-holder table, measurement errors result on the screen due to the fact that the magnification of the part does not correspond to that indicated by the manufacturer and which does not is only correct when the plane of the room is in the model plane of the projector lens.
For any other position, the lengths of the object and image focal points are not in the ratio which gives the exact magnification.
The purpose of the projection apparatus, object of the present invention, is to obviate this drawback by the fact that it is provided with a device for measuring the positions of the object-carrying table which comprises, on the one hand, a comparator, the mobile assembly of which is actuated by a probe, and, on the other hand, an inclined surface cooperating with said probe, the whole arranged in such a way that movement of the object-carrying table along the optical axis causes iui relative displacement between the inclined surface and the probe and therefore a displacement of the movable assembly of the comparator.
The appended drawing illustrates, schematically and by way of example, a profile projector provided with an embodiment of the measuring device.
Fig. 1 is a front view.
Fig. 2 is a partial plan view.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a detail on a larger scale.
Fig. 4 is a partial sectional view of a variant.
The profile projector shown comprises:
a) a frame 1 carrying a screen 2,
b) a light source protected by a housing 3,
c) a mirror 4 carried by a removable arm 5,
(i) a set of interchangeable lenses 7,
e) an object-holder table 6 movable along the optical axis 0 with the aid of an operating member 8.
The housing 3 can occupy two different positions by rotation along an axis d:
1. Position I (shown in fig. 1) in which the removable arm 5 fixed to the housing 3 allows the transmitted illumination of a part placed on the face f of the table 6. For this position of the housing, the axis illumination merges with the optical axis 0.
2. Position II in which the arm 5 being withdrawn, the lighting axis merges with the axis a of a condenser 9 whose beam of rays is reflected along the optical axis 0 by a semi-transparent plate: 10. This position of the housing 3 allows incident lighting of the part placed on the table 6.
The object-holder table 6 is carried by a support 11 sliding along a column 12. The movements of this support are controlled by the operating member 8.
This type of projector being well known and used industrially for many years; it is unnecessary to describe it in detail here. Fig. 3 on the other hand illustrates the measuring device with which this projector is fitted.
Column 12 is rotten with an inclined surface: 13 (fig. 3). The support 11 carries a comparator 14 whose feeler 15, mechanically connected to a mobile unit consisting of a needle e, slides along the inclined surface 13. The movements of this probe take place in a plane parallel to the optical axis. 0 and the surface 13 forms an angle b with a plane passing through the optical axis and perpendicular to the plane of the movements of the probe 15.
In order to allow a resetting of the comparator for each of the objectives 7 placed on the projector, the comparator 14 is fixed to the support 11 by means of an elastic part 16. The united of the ends of this part is fixed rigidly to using clamping members 18, while its other end is engaged with the head of a chicken 17 screwing into the Support 11. This part 16 has a guide 19 in which is engaged and fixed the guide tube 20 of the feeler 15. Only the part 21 of the part 16 is elastic and constitutes a leaf spring held in place by the adjustment chicken 17.
The operation of the described projector is similar to that of conmls projectors, however when the object table 6 is moved along the optical axis 0 to focus the image projected on the screen of the object. placed on the surface f, the needle e of the comparator moves relative to the dial i and therefore measures the amplitude of the movements of the object-holder table. Indeed, the amplitude of the movements of the needle e is directly proportional to the amplitude of the movements of the table 6.
The transmission ratio is a function of the angle b and the multiplication ratio of the comparator. Thus, the operator can, by simply reading the comparator, know the position of the table with respect to a given position.
To facilitate these readings, part 16 has an s mark and the adjustment chicken 17 has several r marks. The latter are arranged so that when the lm of them is brought opposite the mark s, the needle e of the comparator is opposite the zero of the frame i when the face f of the object-holder table is in the object plane of one of the interchangeable lenses. Thus, the operator can know at any time the position of the object table relative to the object plane of each of the objectives.
In the variant shown in FIG. 4, the comparator 14 is rigidly fixed on the support 11 by means of a flange 22 and its feeler 15 rests on a pad 25 arranged on one of the arms of a lever 23 constituting an auxiliary feeler. The second arm of this lever 23 carries a beak 24 maintained in contact with the inclined surface 13 by the action of the return spring (not shown) of the gauge of the comparator. The comparator is provided with a bezel m integral with the dial i and displacablc angularly relative to the case p.
Thus, whatever the position of the hand e, the operator can, by angular displacement of the bezel m, bring the zero of the dial i under the hand e. The telescope m is provided with a mark g and the frame of marks t defining the zero position, that is to say the position of the object plane of each of the objective objectives 7.
Thus, when the operator places an objective in the projector, he places the mark g opposite the mark t corresponding to the magnification (10X, 20X) of said objective. Then by activating the member 8, he focuses the image on the screen 2 by bringing the hand e to zero on the dial i. At this moment, the face f is in the object plane of the objective 7 and the magnification corresponds exactly to that indicated by the tractor cons.
The comparator could be carried by the frame of the projection apparatus, while the inclined surface 13 would be carried by the support. In addition, the feeler 15 could be arranged in a vertical plane and rest on an inclined plane carried by an auxiliary feeler constituted by a rod sliding in a guide and kept in contact with the inclined surface by means of a spring.
