Additional patent to main patent No. 290294. Process for the production of a copper-containing azo carbate. The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a copper-containing azo dye, which consists in that 2 mol of the copper complex from the 2-amino-1-carboxybenzene-5-sulfonic acid- (3'-methoxy.) Diazotized by coupling of 1 mol ) -propylamide with 1 mole of 1- [4 "-amino-1 ', 1" -stilbenyl (4')
] -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone-2 ', 2 "- disulfonic acid available aminomonoazo compound, advantageously in an aqueous medium and in the presence of an acid-binding agent, reacted with 1 mol of a fumaric acid dihalide.
In the following example, the parts are parts by weight.
Example: 81 parts of the copper complex compound from the 2 - amino -1 i -, carboxybenzene - 5 - sulfonic acid (3'-methoxy) propylamide diazotized by coupling 1 mol of 1 - [4 "-amino-1 ', 1" -stilbenyl (4')] -, 3-methyl-5-pyrazdlone-2 ',
The aminomonoazo compound obtainable with 2 "disulfonic acid is dissolved in the form of its trisodium salt in 4000 parts of water. The solution is treated within 3-4 hours at 5-1.2 with as much a 20% solution of fumaric acid dichloride in chlorobenzene as none free amino group is more detectable.
The reaction of the solution is always kept within the pH values 6 to 8 by adding sodium bicarbonate in portions. After the condensation has ended, the solution is warmed to 85-95 and the disazo dye formed is isolated therefrom in a known manner.
The new copper-containing azo dye is a brown powder which dissolves in water and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a yellow color. Its coloration on cotton and regenerated cellulose fibers is yellow and has excellent light and wet fastness properties.
The copper complex compound used as the starting material is obtained in such a way that 75 parts of the 2-amino-1-carboxybenzene 5-sulphonic acid (3'-methoxy) propylamide obtained by coupling 1 mol of diazotized 2-amino-1-carboxybenzene with 1 mol of 1- [4 " -Amino -1 ', 1 "- stilbenyl (4')] - 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone - 2 ',
2 ″ -disulfonic acid available aminomonoazo compound together with 30 parts of sodium acetate dissolves at 90 in 2000 parts of water and 125 parts of a 20% aqueous copper sulfate solution are added to the solution within 45 minutes with thorough stirring. The copper complex compound formed is then passed through Salting out separated and isolated.
