spun and cutting device for carrying out strapping. The present invention relates to a tensioning and cutting device for carrying out band strapping.
Such tensioning and cutting devices are already known and work using a closure sleeve which is fastened to one end of the tape by forming a loop and through which the piece of tape used for strapping and to be tightened is held in place.
The tensioning and cutting device is used to tension the end of the band protruding from the closure sleeve against this closure sleeve and to lock the tensioned band on the closure sleeve by bending the band and for cutting off the remaining band after locking. While this Umreilungsverfahren has proven itself in practice, the previously known clamping and Absehneidvorriehtungen for the execution of the same used have certain defects that are found to be annoying when working with them.
The main disadvantage is that to carry out the tensioning process and then to cut the protruding tape each there is a special movable lever, i.e. the device from the actual turnbuckle and consists of two igloos attached to this movably and operated like scissors. This makes the operation and handling of the device complicated. Furthermore, the insertion of the tape into the apparatus is usually cumbersome, since the organs used to tension the tape naturally extend into the tape channel and more or less block it.
The present invention aims to eliminate these disadvantages and relates to a tensioning and cutting device for strapping using a locking sleeve held by timbending one end of the strap, against which the sehnabelähnliehe front part of the device is supported when tensioning the band and on the after Be At the end of the tensioning process, the device and band must be folded back, after which the side flaps of the sleeve after the band has been cut by the device in this position,
over which the tape ends are to be bent on the sleeve. Characteristic here is that the device has a turnbuckle with a handle and only one actuating lever rotatably arranged on it, which in its rest position projects in the opposite direction as the turnbuckle handle and in this position a band pawl and lifts a tape tension pawl in the tape channel to release the tape channel. This loading operating lever is set up to perform a pivoting movement from its rest position -um about 18011.
A forward movement causes the advance of a clamping slide relative to the band pawl and its backward movement causes the retraction of the tensioning slide. Furthermore, as soon as the device, together with the tensioned band, has been folded back over the locking sleeve after the tensioning process, the actuating device controls the cutting means when moving beyond 18011.
The invention is described in more detail below in an exemplary embodiment with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5 . Here: FIGS. 1 and 2 are a side view or a floor plan of the device in the frame position, FIGS. 3 to 5 each show a longitudinal section through the Device according to FIGS. 1, 2, specifically in the rest position or in a middle position or in cut-off position.
The tape tensioning and cutting device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 shows the flat turnbuckle 1 with the removable base plate 2 and the sehnabelförinig tapering in elevation or floor plan Before derteil 3. The actual turnbuckle 1 continues in the handle 4, the front part 4a of which is U-shaped and is open at the bottom.
In the turnbuckle 1 the actuating uLug axis 5 is arranged, which carries the actuating lever 6 . Furthermore, the turnbuckle 1 has a flat, laterally open band channel 7 which extends over the entire turnbuckle along the side facing away from the actuating lever 6 1 and the lower end of which is formed by the base plate 2.
A clamping slide, consisting of the sliding wedge 8 and the clamping shoe 9, protrudes backwards from the turnbuckle 1 , which points to a still to be described Way is pushed in and out of the turnbuckle by turning the operating lever 6 .
FIGS. 1 and 2 show the device in its rest position, in which the actuating lever always protrudes to the opposite side as the handle 4. The weight of these two parts is equal to one another, so that the device enables the tape to be conveniently inserted into the tape channel 7 with one hand.
In the device shown, the tensioning and cutting process takes place in a known manner using a closure sleeve 10 which is bent at one end 11 of the band 12 used for ripening the same is held. To tension the band 12 on the body 13 to be strapped, it is moved in arrow direction 14 relative to the locking sleeve 10 , which is done by the turnbuckle, which can be seen with its beak-like front side 3 against the locking sleeve 10 .
The tensioning carriage 8, 9 is moved back and forth in a manner to be described in more detail by means of the operating lever 6 , whereby the band 12 through the band channel 7 </ B> hindureh, -, is drawn. After completion of the tensioning process, the band pull pulls the tendon-like front side 3 of the turnbuckle against the front edges of the locking sleeve 10. The actuating lever now becomes 6 placed parallel to the handle 4 and the entire device around the locking sleeve 10 counterclockwise <RTI
ID = "0002.0062"> folded backwards until the upper side of the flat turnbuckle 1 rests, with the piece of tape in the tape channel 7 on the face of the lock sleeve 10 is bent backwards. In this position of the device, the actuating lever 6 is pulled in a clockwise direction backwards in relation to the handle 4 held in place with the left hand, whereby the cutting device 15 in the spanish lock < B> 1 and the strap is cut off in the turnbuckle.
The device can now be removed any longer, the strap end protruding backwards over the closure sleeve is pushed onto it and fastened in the closure sleeve by turning over the tabs 16, thus strapping the body 13 is completed.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 5 , the flat, approximately rectangular turnbuckle forms 1 and the part with a U-shaped cross section 4a of the handle 4 a single G-Lissstüek, which has a strong sliding bearing for the actuation axis 5 , which protrudes to one side from the turnbuckle 1 and there the actuation lever 6 carries.
This actuating lever 6 lies in its rest position (FIGS. 1, 2 and 3) on a stop 17 (see Fig. 2) on the turnbuckle 1 and can be turned in the direction of the arrow 18 (Fig. 1) , namely by more as 1800 to about the position shown in FIG. 5 .
With each rotation of the actuating lever 6 , a gearwheel 19 fastened to the actuating axis 5 is also rotated, which is rotated with the upper edge of the sight, which is designed as a toothed rod 20 - wedge 8 is engaged.
The saw wedge 8 , which together with the clamping shoe 9 forms the clamping slide, has a rectangular cross-section and can be located in a suitable groove 21 (see FIG. 2) in the turnbuckle 1 move back and forth. This groove 21 runs parallel to the tape channel 7, along its inner longitudinal edge and is closed off at the bottom by the removable base plate 2, so that an all-round slide guide for the viewing wedge 8 > arises.
The tensioning shoe 9 located at the rear end of the viewing wedge 8 protrudes laterally (FIG. 2) out of the viewing wedge 8 , riding approximately to the front edge of the Band channel 7 or the turnbuckle 1 and the base plate 2 and engages under a band 12 located in the band channel 7 (Fig. 3). The surface facing the band 12 of the part of the tension shoe 9 which engages under the band is at approximately the same level as
the inside of the bottom plate 2 that forms the lower end of the belt channel 7 .
The actuating shaft 5 also serves as a pivot for a band pawl 22, which in the operating state with its corrugated face 23 under the action of the leaf spring 94 in At a steep angle against the inside of the base plate 2 or the tape 12 located there (Fig. 4, 5). This tape pawl '22 is, in order to facilitate the insertion of the tape 12 in the tape channel 7,
In the rest state, the device is pivoted upwards against the action of the leaf spring 24, thereby releasing the band channel 7, as indicated in FIG. 3. This is brought about by a pin 25 on the band locking pawl 22, which protrudes i # üekward into a groove 26 , which is in the side surface of the sliding wedge 8 </ B > is provided and has such a longitudinal extension,
that the pin 25 and thus the band lock pawl 22 counter-clockwise when the sliding wedge 8 is moved into the rest position shown in FIG. 3 is rotated and lifted, but in all other positions of the optical wedge 8 is not influenced by the groove 26 . As soon as the corrugated end face 203 of the band locking pawl 22 rests on the upper side of the band 12, any movement of the same against the direction of arrow 14 is prevented by jamming of the pawl 22, but not a band movement in the direction of arrow 14.
A similarly working band tensioning pawl 27 is attached to the viewing wedge 8 of the tensioning slide on the pivot pin 28 and is - under the action of the very helical spring 29 on the pawl lever < B> 30 at a steep angle with its corrugated face 31 pressed against the inside of the tensioning shoe 9 or the band 12 located there.
When the sliding wedge 8 is moved into the rest position, the pawl lever 30 strikes a stop pin 32 provided on the inside of the U-shaped part 4a of the handle, whereby the belt tensioning pawl < B> 27 rotates counterclockwise around the pivot pin 28 and its end face 31 is lifted up, thus clearing the tape channel 7 for convenient insertion of the tape 12.
However, as soon as the corrugated end face 31 of the belt tensioning pawl 27 rests on the upper side of the belt 12, the tensioning shoe 9 can together with the belt 12 The pawl 27 can be pushed into the also stationary turnbuckle 1 , but when the tensioning shoe 9 moves backwards from the turnbuckle 1 The tape 12 clamps itself away under the tape tensioning pawl 27 and is taken along by the tensioning shoe 9 .
The interaction of the band pawl 22 and the band tension pawl 27 thus enables the stepwise tensioning of the band 12, with the beak-like front part 3 of the turnbuckle 1 against the The end face of the locking sleeve 10 is supported.
Here, after the tape 12 has been inserted into the tape channel 7 in the rest position of the actuating lever 6, this is first in the direction of the arrow 18 (Fig . 1) moves, that is, the tensioning shoe 9 of the tensioning element is pushed into the turnbuckle 1 , the band pawl 22 holding the band 12 in its position , while the belt tensioning pawl 27 slides over the belt 12.
After a pivoting movement of the actuating pawl 6 by approximately 1800, that is approximately in a parallel position next to the handle 4, the same is pivoted back, with the strap tensioning pawl 27 </ B > together with the tensioning shoe 9 holds the band 12 in place and takes it with it, i.e. through the band channel 7 and out of the tension lock 1 under the band pawl 22 pulls out.
This pivoting back of the actuating lever 6 is not continued until it is in its rest position in order to avoid an undesired lifting of the two pawls 22 and 27, but rather ended beforehand and the The back and forth pivoting movement is repeated until the desired tension of the band 12 with respect to the locking sleeve is achieved, which can be seen from the resistance of the actuating lever 6 to further tensioning.
After the tensioning has taken place, the actuating lever 6 is placed parallel next to the handle 4 and the entire device is folded back over the locking sleeve 10 in the manner already described above, thus taking the a position indicated in FIG. 5 opposite the locking sleeve 10 (but in reality the locking sleeve 10 is the one shown in FIG. 3 and 4 maintained position and the device is inclined before direction), in which position the cutting process takes place.
A chisel-like knife 15 is provided in the turnbuckle 1 in order to cut off the tape 12 located in the tape channel 7 , which is inserted in a direction perpendicular to the tape channel 7 running transverse slot 33 can be raised and lowered. The knife 15 is supported by a leaf spring 34 which lies between the transverse rib 35 and the pin 36 of the turnbuckle 1 and grips with pretension under an extension 37 of the knife 15 , pressed upwards.
The upper edge of the knife 15 is sawn off in the direction of the sliding wedge 8 and the sliding wedge 8 in turn has a cut-off nose 38 < / B> which two inclined surfaces are adapted to one another.
If the actuating lever 6 is pivoted beyond 1800 into the position indicated in Fig. 5 - , then the gear 19 </ B> and the rack 20 of the saw wedge 8 pushed so far into its groove 21 that the nose 38 touches the very saw top edge of the knife 15 and When the wedge 8 is advanced further, it presses downwards against the action of the leaf lowering 34, whereby the band 12 is folded down.
When Zurtieksehwenken the loading actuating lever until it is parallel to the handle 4 and then into its rest position at the stop 17 , the knife 15 is first lifted up into its rest position by the leaf spring 34 and then the two pawls 22 and 27 are rotated back out of the band channel 7, so that the band 12 present in the rearward part of the turnbuckle 1 emerges laterally from the Tape channel 7 can slide out while the device is pulled away from the tape end located in its beak-like front part.
The band tensioning and cutting device described makes the strapping of objects of any external shape much easier and is equally well suited for both narrow and wide bands. A significant advantage is that the actual turnbuckle 1, 2 can be held on an immovable handle 4 and both tensioning and cutting can be carried out with an actuating lever 6 .
The very flat formation of the Vorriehtung is also advantageous, since now, with the handle 4 and actuating lever 6 lying next to each other, the entire Vorriehtung can be folded back after the tensioning of the band almost 18011 around the locking sleeve, which the end of the strap protruding beyond the locking sleeve after cutting and lifting off the device has a sharp bend on the end face of the locking sleeve,
which largely prevents the strapping from cracking, even with a large amount of tape tension. Furthermore, the direction of movement of the actuating lever makes working with the device considerably easier during the cutting process, since pulling the actuating lever 6 back against the handle 4 is within reach when the device is folded back, is possible comfortably and with great effort, without any hindrance from the object to be outlined itself.
Finally, the simple design of the device consisting of only a few parts is also important, since it enables simple manufacture.
The structural design of the tensioning and cutting device is only shown and described in an exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 5. The individual functions of the operating lever can of course also be realized in other ways by equivalent means.
