Definitions
- the invention relates to a heel cheek of a safety ski binding according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a hand opening lever in the sense of the present invention is to be understood as a lever which is acted upon not only by hand but also by means of a ski pole or with the ski boot or ski.
- the sole holder and the hand opening lever are arranged on different transverse axes in the housing in order to take into account the different requirements for the movement sequences of these two components.
- the transverse axis of the sole holder is arranged at a relatively large distance from the connecting line between the hold-down device and the step spur, which makes it difficult for the ski boot to be released from the binding in the open position because, for structural reasons, the sole holder can only be pivoted in a comparatively limited angular range is.
- a disadvantage of known heel jaws is furthermore that when the hand opening lever is opened manually, a comparatively long empty-angle movement has to be carried out before an opening moment is exerted on the sole holder. This delay in the opening of the sole holder can be avoided by providing a special sole holder opening spring, but another component in the form of the opening spring is required for this.
- the aim of the invention is to create a heel jaw of the type mentioned at the outset, which is of a particularly simple and structurally inexpensive construction, but nevertheless a safe and, above all, wide opening of the sole holder both with a safety and with a hand Opening guaranteed.
- the structural outlay for the manufacture of the heel heel according to the invention is considerably reduced.
- the combination of the two transverse axes of the sole holder and hand opening lever also makes it possible to arrange the transverse axis very close to the ski boot sole when the binding is closed, which enables a comparatively large angular swivel path of the sole holder, which on the one hand ensures a safe separation of the hold-down device from the ski boot sole in the open state and on the other hand a relatively large-angle swiveling of the step spur allows, which also makes it easier to get into the binding after an opening operation.
- the sole holder and the hand opening lever have the same axis, it is also possible that the actuation stops of the sole holder and the hand opening lever are already in contact with one another when the binding is closed, so that from the start of the pivoting movement of the hand opening lever in the closed position, the sole holder is pivoted in the direction of the opening position. Despite the absence of an opening spring, the opening of the sole holder is brought about immediately when the hand opening lever is actuated.
- the hand opening lever can be actuated simply by pressure from above, which can be done, for example, by hand, with the ski pole or by putting on the other ski or ski boot.
- the upper surface of the actuating arm should have a correspondingly large area.
- Claim 3 characterizes a structurally particularly advantageous solution, because in this way the actuating stops are arranged in the vicinity of the step spur at a point where they can be accommodated particularly cheaply in terms of space.
- the embodiment according to claim 4 is particularly advantageous because in this way the hand opening lever is pressed against the housing-fixed stop in the open position via the sole holder biased by the release spring in the open position, so that rattle-free transport of the ski equipped with the heel jaws according to the invention is ensured in the open position is without having to provide its own return spring for the manual opening lever.
- a further advantageous embodiment is characterized by claims 5 to 8.
- the sole holder then has a significantly larger angular swivel range than the hand opening lever.
- the invention makes use of the fact that the sole holder is pivoted further from the release spring into the fully open position after the dead center has been exceeded, so that the manual opening lever is no longer required for this part of the opening movement of the sole holder.
- the manual opening lever can already strike its stop fixed to the housing, whereupon the sole holder is pivoted further into the fully open position by means of the release spring.
- the sole to give a corresponding angular swivel range, the preferred dimensions of which can be found in claims 6 and 7.
- the actuating arm of the hand opening lever is designed to be many times longer than the stop arm, thereby achieving a lever ratio which considerably reduces the opening force of the hand.
- the actuating arm is preferably at least twice as long as the stop arm, but preferably three to five and in particular approximately four times as long as the actuating arm.
- the gear of the heel jaw according to the invention is constructed in a structurally particularly advantageous manner as a latching cam link gear.
- Claims 13 and 14 express that it is particularly advantageous according to the invention if neither the sole holder nor the manual opening lever has to be equipped with special opening and / or return springs.
- Claim 15 characterizes an embodiment by which rattling of the hand opening lever is effectively avoided when the binding is closed, because the release spring moves the movable part of the transmission, in particular the slide, in particular even when the ski boot is not set, into the closed position until the web due to forces transmitted via the actuating stops come into contact with the stop surface.
- the hand opening lever is held resiliently in a certain position when the binding is closed. This has the advantage that blows which act on the binding after a fall or on the hand opening lever during skiing, for example, are dampened by the release spring.
- the base plate 27 of a heel shoe according to the invention is fastened on a ski 11 by means of screws 28.
- a binding housing 12 is arranged to be displaceable to a limited extent in the longitudinal direction of the ski by means of schematically indicated sliding guides 29.
- a pushing spring 31 supported by its rear end on a support 30 fastened to the base plate 27 acts with its front end 32 on the binding housing 12 in such a way that it is pressed against a front stop 33 attached to the base plate 27 when the ski boot is not adjusted.
- the binding housing 12 is pushed back by the pushing spring 31 by the pushing path A (FIG. 1), so that there is a corresponding distance between the stop 33 and the counter-stop 34 on the binding housing.
- the binding housing 12 has an accommodation space 35 for the release spring 16, which extends essentially in the longitudinal direction of the ski 11.
- the biasing force of the release spring can be changed by an adjusting screw, which is not shown in the drawing for the sake of a simplified illustration.
- the front end acts on a slide 17 which is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the ski and which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the ski and then passes over a dead center 26 'into a flatter area.
- the slide 26 is pressed by the release spring 16 against a locking cam 18 which is formed on a locking cam arm 18 'of a sole holder 13 which is pivotally mounted about a transverse axis 14 in the front region of the binding housing 12.
- the sole holder 13 is provided at its front end with a hold-down 13 'which, when the binding is closed (FIG. 1), acts on the ski boot sole 24 from above and presses against a base plate 37 arranged on the ski 11.
- the sole holder has a step spur 13 ′′ onto which the ski boot sole 24 can be placed in the open position of the heel shoe (FIG. 2) in order to exert a closing force on the sole holder 13.
- a hand opening lever 15 is pivotally mounted, which in the open position according to FIG. 2 extends essentially in the longitudinal direction of the actuating arm 15 'and in this position extends obliquely forwards and downwards from the transverse axis 14 Stop arm 15 ".
- the actuating arm 15 ' is about four times as long as the stop arm 15".
- the substantially shorter stop arm 15 ′′ has an actuating stop 20 in its lower front area that cooperates with an opposite actuating stop 19 of the sole holder 13, which is located directly behind the step spur 13 "is located.
- the actuating arm 15 ' In its rear area, the actuating arm 15 'is provided with a lower stop surface 39 which cooperates with an upper stop 21 on the binding housing 12 in such a way that the essentially horizontal opening position of the actuating arm 15' is determined by the abutment surface 39 resting against the stop 21 is.
- the sole holder 13 has a holding stop 22 behind the hold-down device 13 ', which comes to rest in the open position of the sole holder 13 (FIG. 2) on an opposite holding stop 23 of the actuating arm 15' of the hand opening lever 15.
- the sole 24 of a ski boot 25 (FIG. 1) can be placed on the step spur 13 ′′ in the direction of the arrow F, whereupon under the action of the force exerted via the ski boot sole 24, the sole holder 13 compresses the release spring 16 is pivoted counterclockwise until the locking cam 18 has reached the dead center 26 'of the slide track 26. From this moment on, the trigger spring 16 can relax again when the sole holder 13 is pivoted counterclockwise, so that the sole holder 13 now moves out Figure 1 snaps closed position, in which the hold-down 13 'presses the ski boot sole 24 against the base plate 37.
- the safety release takes place in such a way that at a predetermined upward force K (FIG. 1) on the ski boot sole 24, the sole holder 13 is pivoted upwards, compressing the release spring 16, until after the dead center 26 'has been exceeded, the sole holder automatically moves into the open position snaps to Figure 2.
- the latching cam 18 and the sliding track 26 are arranged according to FIG. 3 such that the lever arm 18 "defined by the latching cam lies on the connecting line 41 between the transverse axis 14 and the dead center 26 'when the dead center 26' is reached, so that a in this position there is an unstable balance between a closing and an opening moment.
- Figure 4 shows on the one hand that the slide 17 is guided by lateral guide webs 12 '.
- the two side legs of the stop arm 15 ′′ of the hand opening lever 15 ′ extend, which are bent at right angles inwards at the front end to form a flat web 20 ′, on the one hand for the actuation stop 20 for to form the actuating stop 19 of the sole holder 13 and on the other hand a stop surface 20 ′′ provided on the opposite side for a front stop surface 17 ′ of the slide 17, the surfaces 17 ′, 20 ′′ coming into force-transmitting engagement when the binding is closed.
- This measure can ensure rattle-free transport even when the binding is closed.
- the hand opening lever 15 is then held resiliently in a certain position when the binding is closed, when the sole hold-down 13 'only touches the ski boot sole 24 from above, but does not exert a downward clamping force.
- the particularly advantageous arrangement of the stop arm 15 "according to FIG. 4 thus has the advantage that blows which act on the binding or during skiing on the hand opening lever 15, for example, are dampened by the slide 17 and the release spring 16.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a heel cheek of a safety ski binding according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
A hand opening lever in the sense of the present invention is to be understood as a lever which is acted upon not only by hand but also by means of a ski pole or with the ski boot or ski.
In known heel jaws of this type (see e.g. DE-OS 38 26 410), the sole holder and the hand opening lever are arranged on different transverse axes in the housing in order to take into account the different requirements for the movement sequences of these two components. In addition, the transverse axis of the sole holder is arranged at a relatively large distance from the connecting line between the hold-down device and the step spur, which makes it difficult for the ski boot to be released from the binding in the open position because, for structural reasons, the sole holder can only be pivoted in a comparatively limited angular range is. This is particularly disadvantageous in the case of heel jaws which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the ski against the force of a thrust spring and which cooperate with a pincer front jaw, because in this case the heel jaws approaches the sole of the ski boot during the safety opening process.
A disadvantage of known heel jaws is furthermore that when the hand opening lever is opened manually, a comparatively long empty-angle movement has to be carried out before an opening moment is exerted on the sole holder. This delay in the opening of the sole holder can be avoided by providing a special sole holder opening spring, but another component in the form of the opening spring is required for this.
The aim of the invention is to create a heel jaw of the type mentioned at the outset, which is of a particularly simple and structurally inexpensive construction, but nevertheless a safe and, above all, wide opening of the sole holder both with a safety and with a hand Opening guaranteed.
To achieve this object, the features of the characterizing part of claim 1 are provided.
By providing only a single transverse axis both for the sole holder and for the hand opening lever, the structural outlay for the manufacture of the heel heel according to the invention is considerably reduced. The combination of the two transverse axes of the sole holder and hand opening lever also makes it possible to arrange the transverse axis very close to the ski boot sole when the binding is closed, which enables a comparatively large angular swivel path of the sole holder, which on the one hand ensures a safe separation of the hold-down device from the ski boot sole in the open state and on the other hand a relatively large-angle swiveling of the step spur allows, which also makes it easier to get into the binding after an opening operation.
Due to the fact that the sole holder and the hand opening lever have the same axis, it is also possible that the actuation stops of the sole holder and the hand opening lever are already in contact with one another when the binding is closed, so that from the start of the pivoting movement of the hand opening lever in the closed position, the sole holder is pivoted in the direction of the opening position. Despite the absence of an opening spring, the opening of the sole holder is brought about immediately when the hand opening lever is actuated.
Due to the design according to claim 2, the hand opening lever can be actuated simply by pressure from above, which can be done, for example, by hand, with the ski pole or by putting on the other ski or ski boot. For this purpose, the upper surface of the actuating arm should have a correspondingly large area.
Claim 3 characterizes a structurally particularly advantageous solution, because in this way the actuating stops are arranged in the vicinity of the step spur at a point where they can be accommodated particularly cheaply in terms of space.
The embodiment according to claim 4 is particularly advantageous because in this way the hand opening lever is pressed against the housing-fixed stop in the open position via the sole holder biased by the release spring in the open position, so that rattle-free transport of the ski equipped with the heel jaws according to the invention is ensured in the open position is without having to provide its own return spring for the manual opening lever.
A further advantageous embodiment is characterized by claims 5 to 8. The sole holder then has a significantly larger angular swivel range than the hand opening lever. The invention makes use of the fact that the sole holder is pivoted further from the release spring into the fully open position after the dead center has been exceeded, so that the manual opening lever is no longer required for this part of the opening movement of the sole holder. As a result, shortly after the gearbox has passed the dead center, the manual opening lever can already strike its stop fixed to the housing, whereupon the sole holder is pivoted further into the fully open position by means of the release spring. For this purpose is the sole to give a corresponding angular swivel range, the preferred dimensions of which can be found in claims 6 and 7.
The position of the common transverse axis is advantageously chosen as specified in claims 9 to 11.
Due to the relatively close arrangement of the transverse axis relative to the ski boot sole in the closed state of the heel jaw, it is also ensured that the actuating arm of the hand opening lever is designed to be many times longer than the stop arm, thereby achieving a lever ratio which considerably reduces the opening force of the hand.
The actuating arm is preferably at least twice as long as the stop arm, but preferably three to five and in particular approximately four times as long as the actuating arm.
According to
- FIG. 1 shows a partially sectioned schematic side view of a heel shoe according to the invention in the closed position with an adjusted ski boot,
- FIG. 2 the same heel cheek in the open position,
- Figure 3 shows the same heel cheek during a hand opening process shortly before reaching the dead center and
- 4 shows a section along line IV-IV in FIG. 1, only the half of the jaw located below the central

According to FIGS. 1 to 3, the
The components guaranteed for the push-in path A are only indicated schematically in the drawing. The measures generally provided for adjusting the push path and / or the push force are not shown in detail.
The
While the rear end of the
The

The
- In the open position according to FIG. 2, the
release spring 16 presses thesole holder 13 into the open position via the lower steep part of theslide track 26 and thelocking cams 18, the pivoting movement of the sole holder 13 (clockwise in FIG. 2) due to the abutment of the 22 , 23 or 21, 39 is limited.stops
In this state, the binding can be transported without rattling. The position of the
From the open position according to FIG. 2, the sole 24 of a ski boot 25 (FIG. 1) can be placed on the
When the
The safety release takes place in such a way that at a predetermined upward force K (FIG. 1) on the ski boot sole 24, the
In the arbitrary opening can be pressed by hand, by means of the ski pole or else by means of the other ski boot or ski in the direction of arrow H (Figure 1, 3) on the actuating arm, whereupon the
The latching
Figure 4 shows on the one hand that the
In the closed position of the binding according to FIG. 1, a closing moment is transmitted from the
This measure can ensure rattle-free transport even when the binding is closed.
Even when the boot is set, the
The particularly advantageous arrangement of the
