Embossing machine for address printing. or similar printing plates. The present invention relates to an embossing machine for address printing or similar printing plates, with mutually movable two-armed embossing levers for male and female molds, one ends of which are connected to one another by a pair of toggle levers forming the main control tool,
des sen knee joint is connected by a handlebar to a swingable drive lever on the housing.
In order to enable characters to be embossed into the printing plate, the printing plate must be in a stationary position shortly before the embossing process as well as during the embossing. So far, this has been achieved in that one arm of the die adjusting lever hits a stop surface of the housing and the die adjusting lever is thereby held in a prepared working position.
The encounter of the die adjusting lever with the mentioned stop surface of the housing takes place as a result of the common drive of both types of lever suddenly Lund generates a loud and unpleasantly disturbing sound.
The machine according to the invention made it possible to avoid this noise in that adjustable members are arranged between the drive lever and one end of the die adjustment lever so that the end of the die adjustment lever, which is positively and smoothly transferred into a presetting by the drive lever, is This working position can be supported on a fixed axis of the housing.
These members form an actuated by the drive lever I3ilfsmechanismus, which can be designed in various ways. Like the main control tool, it can consist of a pair of toggle levers connected to the drive lever by a link, of which one link is articulated on the matrix adjustment lever and the other link is attached to a fixed point on the machine frame.
On the enclosed. Drawings are some embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, for example, with only the parts of the machine required for an understanding of the invention are given.
Fig. 1 shows an embossing machine in the embossing position, Fig.2 the same device in open system state.
Fig; 3 and 4 are partial sections of FIG. 1 on a larger scale, in side view and top view.
FIGS. 5 and 6 show another embodiment of the subject of the invention in the embossed position and in the open state.
7 and 8 show a further embodiment in the same way.
In the machine housing 1, the type wheels 2 (die) and 3 (male die) are stored in a known manner and can be turned into the desired embossing position.
The type stamps, which are displaceably mounted in the type wheels against each other and are not shown in the drawing, are moved in pairs via two-armed levers 4 and 5, which are mounted in pin 6 and 7 in housing 1. The drive is carried out by a crank disk 8 that can be engaged and retracted via a crank rod 9 and a two-armed working lever 11, 12 mounted on the housing 1 to 10.
The levers 4 and 5 are connected with their hinge axes 13 and 14 via toggle levers 15, 16 and the intermediate lever 17 with the head of the Ar beitshebelarmes 12 (see FIGS. 3 and 4). The joint axis 13 of the lever 4 is also suspended on a pin 20 of the housing 1 via a toggle joint 18, 19.
This system is also with a lever 21 if. connected to the head of the working lever arm 12 and forms the auxiliary mechanism which inevitably and smoothly steers the die adjusting lever into the working position shortly before the embossing process.
For this purpose, the toggle lever system 15, 16, 17, which forms the main control tool, is matched to the toggle lever system 18, 19, 21 so that the lever pair 18, 19 attached to the housing at 20 is in the vertical extended position during the pressure stroke the pair of levers 15, lo assumes its extended position. In this case, the end 13 of the die adjusting lever is supported on the fixed axis 20 of the housing via the extended knee joint 18, 19.
As can be seen in FIG. 4, the actuating tool 18, 19, 21 is formed from two groups which are the same among themselves and which are arranged on both sides of the actuating tool 15, 16, 17. The in the setting tools are matched to one another in such a way that when the upper lever arm 12 of the working lever is moved to the right, the ends of the levers 4 and 5 facing the types of wheels initially spread out.
During the subsequent closing movement and rotation of the types of wheels, the lever 4 lifts the die set on it in the embossing position, in which it is supported by the vertical extension position of the knee joint 18, 19 on the housing at 20, whereupon it is on the Axis 13 supporting standing tool 15, 16, 17 to the patrizen adjusting lever 5 is given the final work movement.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the main setting tool 15, 16, 17 is designed in the same way as in the first example. In this case, however, a cam disk 22 which contains a link guide 23 is mounted in the fixed point 20. In. The pivot pin 13 of the die adjusting lever 4 slides through this. The cam disk is pivoted via an intermediate link 21 from the working lever 11, 12.
The link guide 23 is shaped in such a way that shortly before the embossing process the hinge axis 13 of the die adjustment lever lies vertically below the fixed point 20 of the housing and is supported on the fixed axis 20 in the horizontally lying end of the link guide via the cam 22. For this purpose, the cam disk carries a Zap Een 25. Due to the position of the pin 25, the desired coordination of the movements of the two standing tools can also be achieved with this arrangement.
Finally, FIGS. 7 and 8 show an embodiment in which the working lever 11, 12 itself is designed as a control tool for the 4-Ma trizenverstellhebel. The work lever here carries a projection 26 which has a link guide 27 for a pin 28 attached to the lever 4.
The link guide 27 is shaped in such a way that the pin 28 of the die adjustment lever in the default setting at the end of the link guide is supported on the fixed axis 10 of the housing via the working lever 12. In this case, the necessary tuning of the actuating tool movements is made possible by the distance between the pin 28 and the pivot axis 13.
It is of course possible to use the subdivision of the standing tool for the die adjusting lever shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 by analogy with the other two embodiments. Compared to known machines which have only one setting tool common to both levers, there are many advantages.
First of all, both the closing and opening movements of the adjustment lever take place inevitably, without having to arrange the return spring that has been common up to now. This significantly improves operational safety. In addition, the application allows two setting tools to be able to coordinate the Arbeitsbewegungun conditions in a favorable manner for the embossing process in which z. B. the die is brought into firm contact with the embossing plate before the male die ends its working stroke.
The setting tool of the male mold is supported on the then fixed articulation point of the female mold adjusting lever, which ensures perfect embossing. It can also avoid the hitherto unavoidable, noisy attacks of the die adjustment lever; the machine described thus works largely quietly.
