Schlitzgesteuerter Gegenkolbenverbrennungsmotor.
Fig. 2 zeigt ein Getriebe ohne Gehäuse und. Fig. 3 dessen Seitenansicht.
Slot-controlled opposed piston internal combustion engine. Geo-piston internal combustion engines are known with self-controlled inlet and outlet slits with the working piston, in which the processes of a four-stroke engine, such as intake, compression, ignition, expansion and expulsion of the combustion products, take place with just one turn of the crank. The known devices of this type. Use a cyclic crank gear or a normal crank gear and a Zvkloideii: crank gear.
It is also known in opposed piston engines with a four-stroke mode of operation at one crankshaft rotation, one. To arrange swing lever drive of the piston., But only using a special control element that both the. Controls exhaust as well as intake.
The invention relates to a slot-controlled (- # e-piston internal combustion engine, one piston of which controls the inlet slit and the other piston controls the exhaust port of the working cylinder so that the working organ of a four-stroke engine flows in with one crankshaft revolution of the charge after sub-pressure formation with internal cooling effect.
The invention lies in the fact that the pistons act on one and the same crankshaft offset by means of a rocking lever and a connecting rod guided by a link. In the drawing is. an AiLS guide example of the subject matter of the invention is shown.
In Fig. 1, a Dreizy cylinder engine is in cross section. illustrates .. Fig. 2 shows a transmission without housing and. 3 shows its side view. FIG. 4 shows the linkage and the rocker arm arrangement schematically and FIG. 5 shows a time-displacement diagram of the piston movement. FIGS. 6 and 7
show a rocker arm in. two views.
The example shown shows. a motor with three working cylinders whose axes lie in one plane: and iun each 60 inclined towards each other. are. In each cylinder, which has an inlet and an exhaust port, two pistons move at times in the same direction, at times in opposite directions, of which one piston controls the inlet port and the other the exhaust port.
In the following description of the gearbox, the axes of rotation mounted in housing G are included. Roman numerals, the other joints with Arabic numerals and the connecting rods, handlebars and rocker arms with letters.
A single cranked crankshaft K, which is mounted in the crankshaft bearing I of the engine housing G, actuates a crank rod P, which engages with the f-tele-pivot point 2 on a link L leading the crank rod around the bearing II in the engine housing G. is rotatable. The connecting rod P has an articulation point 3 at which the connecting rods P and P2 engage.
The connecting rod P engages via the hinge point 1 on the two-armed rocker arm S, at whose hinge point 5 the piston connecting rod P3 engages, which moves the working piston K1 in the cylinder Z1, which controls the exhaust. The rocker arm S1 is mounted in a bearing III in the motor housing G.
The connecting rod P2 connects the joint piuikt 3 of the connecting rod P with the two-armed swinging lever S2, at whose hinge point 6 it engages. The swinging lever S- # actuates the piston connecting rod P, 4 via the hinge point 7, which controls the inlet control the working piston K2 in cylinder Z2 be moved.
The rocker arms S1 and S2 swing here about the same axis III. However, two axes supported at a distance from one another in the housing G can also be seen, one of which each carries one of the rocker arms S1 and S2 so that it can swing.
The transmission can be dimensioned in such a way that the piston movement: corresponds to the time path diagram shown in FIG. 5, with the dimensions and angles listed below being of only exemplary importance. The angular degrees corresponding to the times of a crank rotation are plotted as abs, the piston travel between the exhaust slot A and the inlet slot S as ordinates.
Is assumed. a working cylinder sleeve in which the controlling edges of the suction and exhaust slots have a stand from 71 mm. About 15 after point 0 of the crankshaft rotation, the working piston K1 closes the exhaust slot A at a distance of 2.5 mm from the working piston K2. Both pistons move against the inlet slot S, which is opened by working piston K2 at 72 turn of the crank, while:
the working piston K1 has already passed the exhaust port by 17 mm and closed it. In the time of 72-15 = 5'7 of the crank rotation. the residual gases, which correspond to a piston distance of 2.5 mm, expand to 516 mm piston distance, which creates a pressure.
The expansion and the resulting cooling result in internal cooling, which has an effect on the oil film adhering to the cylinder. When the crank pin moves, the fuel mixture or only air enters the cylinder.
After the working piston K2 has completely cleared the inlet slot S, it moves towards the exhaust slot A, as does the piston El, which reverses 1 mm in front of the exhaust slot A. and, without opening the exhaust slot. to have look moved against the inlet seat again.
In the position of the piston K 1, 4th nini in front of the exhaust port A, the working piston K2 grinds the inlet slot S at 120 of the crank rotation and closes. a piston distance of 68 mm corresponding suction volume between the two working pistons El and K2. The two working pistons now move in opposite directions until they reach the compression position at a distance of 10 mm at 180 degrees of rotation of the crank.
The gas mixture ignites and expands between the two pistons moving apart, of which the piston K1 at 267 of the crank rotation. Exhaust slot opens up to 375 of the crank rotation, while the piston K2 has its outermost point in the expansion stroke. 5 mm in front of the inlet seat S without opening it:
, and then moves against the exhaust slot in the exhaust stroke after he has enclosed a maximum volume corresponding to 71.5 mm distance with the piston K1, whereupon a new work cycle begins when the crank is turned from 360.
As FIG. 1 shows as an example, three working cylinders are arranged around the crankshaft bearing I so that the three cylinder axes lie in a plane normal to the crankshaft bearing axis and form an equilateral triangle through whose center of gravity the axis of the crank shaft bearing I passes.
'The three-cylinder Ger "en-piston engine thus characterized is operated by a crankshaft crank through three cure rods P by means of the rocker arm mechanism in each of its three cylinders a working piston K which controls the exhaust and a working piston K2 which controls the inlet, which working piston the exhaust slots A and A respectively .
the inlet slots S, open and close according to the piston-time-travel diagram, so that the piston clearance in a cylinder has the characteristics of an opposed piston four-stroke engine with an internal cooling stroke during one revolution of the crankshaft.
The arrangement of the cylinder axes of the polygon engine in an equilateral triangle results in the mutual phase shift of the work process in the three cylinders by 120 each of the piston time-distance diagram.
In general, the conditions are such that in the case of the single-crank polygonal opposed piston engine, the pistons of the N-cylinders arranged in the N-section around the crankshaft axis also mitigate the crankshaft offset by NE crank rods and N rocker arm drives. a phase shift of the work cycle in every two adjacent cylinders by 3600: N.
In single-cylinder opposed piston engines, the two pistons of the cylinder liner drive a single-cranked crankshaft arranged on the side of the cylinder liner, the axis of which normally crosses the cylinder axis, by means of a connecting rod and a rocking lever gear. The in-line engine results from the ingenious series of N-gear units, single piston cylinders on an N-cranked crankshaft.
The engine can be built as a water- or air-cooled carburetor, injection, diesel or semi-diesel engine with: water injection.
The described design of the transmission enables the construction of a type of engine, the Vieleek engine, with a central, simply cranked crankshaft.
The present engine as a polygon engine with a central crankshaft is a closed engine type with little space requirement. Since this motor has no gears, the technically simplest and most reliable design is given.
The described gear makes it possible to design the piston-time-distance line of the exhaust control piston K in such a way that the suction stroke results in a significantly larger suction stroke than when using a cycloid crank gear or a crank gear with special features. and inlet controller is possible. The increased suction stroke combined with the delayed opening of the suction slot provides extensive internal cooling by expanding the residual gases contained in the cylinder.
'As FIGS. 6 and 7 show, a tension and compression member M is provided in the two-armed rocker arms Si, S2, which connects the respective hinge points 4, 5 and 6, 7 to one another in order to generate vibrational resonances To prevent rocker arms.
