Regelbare Heizung.
Adjustable heating. The invention relates to a controllable heating system, for example the heating of a (laying stand, body, room, etc.), which heating system is provided with a heating device and with a temperature-dependent electrical resistance which is connected to one of the branches of a differential measuring system in Is connected in series, so that changes in the resistance cause changes in a current flowing through this branch, while the other branch of the measuring system is connected in series with a temperature-independent resistor, and that the two series connections are connected in parallel to a power source.
and the measuring system has a rotatable member that makes contact when a current change occurs in the first branch mentioned. operated to control the heating device.
According to the invention, the measuring system has a hot wire, part of which is switched on in one branch and the remaining part in the other branch of the measuring system.
The use of such a heating wire system enables the advantage that a high adjusting force acts on the rotatable member, so that a high contact pressure is achieved when controlling the associated contact.
You get. a particularly useful embodiment of the heater according to the invention when the hot wire is provided with a power connection between its ends, where the hot wire is coupled to a shaft perpendicular to the same, which actuates a contact tongue for controlling the heating device.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
1 is an object or room to be heated. This is provided with a Heizvorrichtwxg 2, of which it is assumed that it consists of an electrical heating resistor. But you can also use a different type of heating device. Furthermore, the object or space 1 is provided with a temperature-dependent resistor (or sensor) 3. The actual control device is shown above in the figure and is connected to the device 1 by lines 4.
Power is supplied from terminals 5 via two lines 6 and 7.
A V-shaped hot wire consisting of two parts 8a and 8b is provided with a power connection in place of the connection between these two parts. The hot wire is wrapped around a shaft 10, for example, which springs 9 is supported by cutting 11 by two leaf. The shaft 10 carries a contact tongue 12 :. A contact 13 arranged on the contact tongue works together with a fixed mating contact 14.
Starting from. the line 6 (via the con tact 21b, the power connection -9, 11), the part 8a of the hot wire is connected to the sensor 3 and further to the line 7. From the power connection 9, 11, the part 8b is connected to the line 7 in series with a resistance system 15a, 15b with a resistance that is independent of the temperature. Both series connections are therefore parallel between lines 6 and 7.
If one of the parts of the hot wire is lengthened or shortened, the shaft 10 will rotate and take the contact tongue 12 with it. Even extremely small changes in length of one of the hot wire parts will lead to a movement of the contact tongue 1'2 with a high adjustment force, and if this movement is a. Closing of the contact 13; 14 has the consequence, the contacts 13 and 14 are pressed firmly against each other. If the two parts of the hot wire experience a change in length of the same size, the shaft 10 will not move.
The system is therefore insensitive to temperature changes in the vicinity of the hot wire. Changes in the voltage of terminals 5 will also have no effect on the position of the contact tongue.
If, however, the temperature-dependent resistor 3 experiences a change in its counter stand as a result of the temperature in the device 1, the current in the part 8a of the hot wire will change and cause a movement of the contact tongue. When the contacts 13 and 14 come into contact with one another, a current flows from the line 6 via the contact 21b, the springs 9, the shaft 10, the contacts 13 and 14, the rectifier 16 and the resistor 17 to the line 7; the resistor 17 serves as a current limiter.
This current causes the heating device 2 to be switched off in the following way: The rectifier 16, designed as a bridge circuit, for example, supplies a direct current between the ends of the horizontal diagonal that feeds the coil 18 of an electromagnetically operated switch 19 (in the case of mercury 'Vacuum switch) and a winding 20 flows through, which exerts a force directed on the contact tongue 12 such that the contacts 13, 14 are additionally pressed against one another.
The switch 19 is then opened and interrupts the circuit of the heating device 2, which circuit runs from the line 6 via the coil 21a of a circuit breaker 211, the heating device 2 and the switch 19 to the line 7.
Switching off the heating device 2 has the consequence that the temperature in the device 1 drops, whereby the current in part 8a of the hot wire changes in such a way that the contacts 13 and 14 are separated from one another again. The high sensitivity of the hot wire system used means that a temperature control can be achieved in the device 1 in which only fluctuations of a few degrees or even a part of a degree occur. The value of the mean temperature can be set with the aid of the adjustable resistor 15b.
The sum of resistors 15a and 1J5b becomes. chosen such that the same is equal to the resistance of the sensor 3 at the desired mean temperature.
As the figure shows, the Klem men 5 serve as a common power source both for the heater 2 as for the two par allelic branches with the parts 8a and 8b of the hot wire and also for the current circuit via the con tact tongue 12. This creates a very simple circuit.
If the heating device 2 does not consist of an electrical heating resistor, but of another device, for example a device for heating by means of a hot liquid, a hot gas, etc., it goes without saying that this device must be actuated indirectly by the coil 18. The means required for this are known in the art.
The protective switch 21 in the circuit of the heating device 2 is used in a manner known per se to lead to a definitive switch-off of the entire heater at the contact 21b when an excessive current occurs, due to a short circuit or other causes.
