Description

Brennkraftmaschine.

Internal combustion engine. The invention relates to an internal combustion engine in which the crankcase serves as a slide bearing for the cylindrically shaped crank webs. The invention consists in that both the crankcase and the two door cheek bodies belonging to a connecting rod are made of light metal and the sliding surfaces of one of the two parts sliding on one another are chrome-plated.

The light metal crank webs belonging to a connecting rod can be connected to one another by a steel sleeve on which the crankshaft eye of the connecting rod runs on rollers or on plain bearings. Steel bodies are expediently arranged in the crank webs as balancing weights. In this way, despite the considerable reduction in weight of the engine, easy balancing is possible. Due to the above-mentioned storage of the crankshaft, a very low specific surface loading of the crankshaft bearing is achieved.

An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. The air-cooled light metal cylinder 1 has a chrome-plated running surface 2. With 3 the piston and 4 with the connecting rod be distinguished. The crankshaft eye of the latter runs on rollers 5 which roll on a steel sleeve 6. This bushing connects the cylindrical crank web bodies 7 and 8 made of light metal, which slide directly on the chrome-plated inside 9 of the crankcase 10 made of light metal.

The cylindrical steel bodies arranged in the crank cheeks by 11 and 12 form the balancing weights that nenden. With 13 the ignition machine of the engine is indicated. On the output shaft 14, the drive gear 15 is attached.
