Striking timepiece. The present invention relates to a striking timepiece, comprising means making it possible to produce warnings at times which can be set: in advance for a determined period of time.
This timepiece is characterized by the fact that the strike blocking device comprises: a rotating stop piece rotating freely on its shaft, a control finger for said piece carried by said shaft which is driven by the movement of the bell, so as to rotate when the latter operates so that said finger drags the stop piece therefrom and brings it into its blocking position.
The accompanying drawing represents; by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 4 is a section along IV-IV of FIG. 1, on a larger scale.

The clock shown, striking, allows warnings to be produced at various times. This clock comprises a ca dran 1 surrounded by a rotating bezel 29 having a knurled part 29a which enables said bezel to be rotated. The latter carries two cylindrical pushers 30 and 31 slidably mounted on it. These pushers make it possible to put the tongues in the working position (push-button 30) or in the rest position (push-button 31). folded 4a belonging to elastic arms 4b cut from a plate 4 fixed by rivets 5 under the dial plate 1.
These tabs 4a, forty-eight in number, pass through radial windows 6 made in the periphery of dial 1 and are partially visible. The arms 4b can each occupy a rest position in which they are applied under the dial (fig. 4) and a working position in which they are remote from the dial 1 ('see the left arm 4b, in phantom lines, in Fig. 4). By pressing the finger on the push-button 30, which acts directly on the tabs 4a, one of the forty-eight tabs which correspond to the quarter of an hour of the hour turn of the dial is brought into the working position.
The bezel bears a reference line 32 vis-à-vis the pusher 30 so that this pusher can be placed exactly opposite the desired tab. By pressing on the push-button 31, the lan guards are brought back indirectly, by means of a lever 33, in the rest position. Because the pusher 31 works indirectly, the same reference line 32 is used for the two pushers.
The set of arms 4b is very slightly offset angularly with respect to the set of slots 6, which is obtained when the edge of the plate 4 is placed on the dial 1, so that these arms have to be elastically deform so that the tongues 4a penetrate into these slots. Thanks to this arrangement, a certain friction occurs between the tongues 4a and the edges of the slots by which the arms 4b are held in their working or resting position.
The striking mechanism comprises a rigid arm 7 fixed to the hour barrel 8 and rotating with it. This rigid arm carries, fixed by a screw 9, an elastic feeler 10 terminated by a nose 10a intended to cooperate with that of the arms 4b which is in its working position. This probe is integral with a barrel 11 sliding on the ca non 8: hours; the arm 7 rotates at the rate of two revolutions per twenty-four hours, and the barrel 11 is lowered each time the nozzle 10a meets an arm 4b in the working position.
By lowering, the barrel 11 also lowers a resilient lever 12 coming in one piece with an elastic blade 12a and fixed to the frame by a screw 13 passing through the end of this blade 12a bent at right angles at 12b. This lever 12 has a tongue 12c, folded twice and located, when the lever is in the rest position, above a star wheel 14 (fig. 8 and 9) rotating with the minute shaft 15.
When the barrel 11 lowers, it brings the lower part of the tongue 12c in the plane of the wheel 14, on the path of the arms of this wheel. The rotation of this wheel then tends to move the rocker 12 in parallel to the dial, in the direction of the arrow 16, which produces, thanks to the mechanism described below, the triggering of the chime. It should be noted that the lever 12 is pierced with an elongated hole 17 (fig. 5 ) through which the barrel 8 passes, which allows it to move along with the dial.
The striking hammer 18 is driven, by means of an ordinary escapement device, not shown, by the spring of the clock contained in a barrel 1.9. This hammer 18 carries a pin 20 with which cooperates the end of a stop lever 21 having an elastic part 21a and of which. the end is crossed by a fixing screw 22. The elasticity of the part 21a tends to maintain the lever 21 in its rest position (fig. 6), in which its end is outside the path of the ankle 20 , which allows the hammer 18 to beat.
The barrel shaft, which rotates when the ringing bell operates, carries a wheel (not shown) which engages with a pinion 23 on the shaft 24 of which a finger 25 is fixed; the latter cooperates with a pin 26 carried by a disc 27 itself mounted on the shaft 24. When the sound works, the finger 25 turns in the direction of the arrow 28 (fig. 6), meets the che town 26 and forces it to turn until it comes into contact with the lever 21, which brings the latter in the path of the pin 20 (fig. 5), thus causing the ringing to stop. The pin 26 is then immobilized, maintaining the lever 21 in its working position.
If, when the ringing is stopped, the lever 12 moves in the direction of the arrow 18, as explained above, its end 12d comes into contact with the pin 26 and the release of the lever 21. The latter then returns. to its rest position and the buzzer starts to sound. She stops as soon as, the finger. 25 before joining the pin 26, the latter returns the lever 21 to its locking position.
It can therefore be seen that, thanks to this arrangement, the stopped ringing is always ready to be retriggered. This trigger occurs each time the probe 10 encounters an arm 4b in the working position. It is therefore sufficient, during the preliminary adjustment of the clock, to bring the reference line 32 of the bezel successively in front of each tab 4ca chosen and to press. On the pusher 30 so that the alarm is then triggered on time. corresponding. It is thus possible to prepare the clock so that the striking operates at various time intervals, or even from quarter of an hour to quarter of an hour, intervals which can be determined in advance for a period of twelve hours.
Once a series of triggers are prepared, these occur on their own without having to intervene for each of them. As long as no adjustment is made, the same series of trips is repeated every twelve hours.
