Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, Zürich-Oerlikon (Schweiz).
Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, Zurich-Oerlikon (Switzerland). Liquid-cooled transformer. Today, power transformers are almost exclusively cooled with oil, which also serves as insulation between parts with different potentials. However, oil has the disadvantage that it is easily combustible and can therefore have devastating effects in a fire. 11Ian therefore endeavors to avoid oil whenever possible. The construction of dry transformers accommodates these efforts.
However, these can only be built economically for relatively low outputs, since with higher outputs it is very difficult to quickly dissipate the heat loss generated in the movements and in the iron core.
In the case of the transformer according to the inven tion, the disadvantages outlined are avoided because the windings are cast in synthetic resin and this synthetic resin insulation is cooled with water. Synthetic resins are used, which do not emit any volatile components during the polymerization. Such synthetic resins do not have. only have good electrical properties, but they are also extremely resistant to atmospheric influences, in particular to moisture.
The cooling can take place in such a way that the coil body with the synthetic resin-insulated windings is placed in a container. which is filled with water.
To cool the transformer, however, the synthetic resin insulation can also enclose a system of cooling channels, to which water can be supplied from the outside and from which water can be discharged to the outside. With such a cooling device, it would be unnecessary to put the active part of the transformer in a tank filled with water.
The cooling channels can either run directly in the synthetic resin, or a cooling pipe system can also be cast into the synthetic resin insulation.
The cooling can be intensified if the layers are not embedded as a whole in the synthetic resin insulation, but if at least one transformer winding is subdivided into partial windings, which are individually cast in synthetic resin, in such a way that cooling channels are created between the individual winding parts.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in a simplified manner, namely: FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a transformer with a coil former immersed in the cooling water, FIG. 2 'shows a longitudinal section through a coil former of another transformer, FIGS. 3 and 4 Cross-sections along the lines III-III and IV-IV of the bobbin shown in Fig. 2,
5 and 6 are longitudinal sections through parts of two further bobbins and FIGS. 7 and 8 are variants of cooling tubes of the bobbin according to FIG. 6. In FIG. 1, 1 denotes the iron core, which is concentric with the synthetic resin insulation 2 which is cast around on all sides. Under tension winding 3 and Oberspa.nnungs- winding 4 of the coil body 5 is surrounded.
On the upper side, the insulation 2 of each winding merges into a rod-shaped body 6 and 7. In this body, the Wick treatment derivatives 8 and 9 of the low-voltage and high-voltage winding are cast. The bodies 6 and 7 together with the winding leads 8 and 9 form the insulated bushings through the cover 10 of the transformer, which is schematically indicated. These bushings form a solid unit together with the winding insulation 2.
The transformer tank is denoted by 11, which can be provided with ribs or tubes in a known manner in order to enlarge the cooling surface. 12 designated. the cooling water filling the boiler. Concentric cooling spaces 13 are present between the synthetic resin-insulated upper-voltage circuit 4 and low-voltage circuit 3 and between this and the iron core 1, in which the water can circulate as a result of the thermosiphon effect.
The iron core 1 is with. provided with an unmarked protective coating. The iron body 1 could, however, also be cast into the synthetic resin insulation 2 either on its own or together with the low voltage winding 3.
In the bobbin 5 shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, the two windings, namely the low-voltage winding 3 and the high-voltage winding 4, are cast in a one-piece synthetic resin insulation 2. This goes above into the two lead-throughs 6 and 7, which are partially drawn to me, in which the leads 8 and 9 of the windings 3 and 4 run.
The artificial hammer insulation 2 has a system of cooling water channels 13 '. In addition to the channels 13 'between the two windings 3 and 4 and on the outside of the high-voltage winding 4 could be necessary if between the low-voltage winding 3 and the iron core, not shown, to be inserted between the low-voltage winding 3 and the iron core, not shown, see another channel in the synthetic resin insulation will. The channels 13 'open into space 15 at the top and into space 16 at the bottom.
The space 16 is connected through the channel 17 with the inlet nozzle 18 and the space 15 through the channel 19 with the outlet nozzle 20. The 'nozzle 18 and 20 are made of metal and cast into the bobbin 5 made of synthetic resin. The duct system of the coil body: 5 can be connected to an external pipeline system (not shown) that supplies and discharges cooling water through the connection pieces 18 and 20.
The cooling water enters the coil body: 5 through the nozzle 18, flows through the cooling channels 13 'and leaves the coil body: 5 through the' nozzle 20. Fresh water can either be constantly supplied to the coil body 5. or the cooling water can also run a closed circuit.
According to FIG. 5, the high tension tension 4 of the coil body 5, which is cast in synthetic resin 2, is subdivided into individual packages? 1. These are kept apart by spacers (not shown) so that the coil body 5 also has radial cooling channels 22 in addition to the axial cooling channels 13 '.
According to Fig. 6 are in the Wieklungen 3 and 4- surrounding Kunstbarzisolation 2 of the bobbin 5 bifilar wound thin-walled metal pipes 23 and 24, through which cooling water can flow, with a poured.
The cooling water is fed in from the outside through the pipe 25 and distributed to the two pipe strings 23 and 24 via the distribution vessel 26. The cooling water is discharged on the side of the bobbin 5, not shown.
The cooling tubes can be arranged in the synthetic resin insulation 2 in a meandering shape (Fig. 7) or in a wave shape (Fig. 8).
In three-phase transformers, either all three coils can be connected to a common cooling system, or each coil can have its own cooling system. Additives can be added to your cooling water that eliminate the risk of freezing.
The cooling system can be designed such that the water flows in one or more directions.
