- 3-metli51-5-py razolon, 1- (4' - Methoxyplieny l) - 3-methy-l-5-pyrazolon usw.
Mechanische Gemenge

Process for the production of a brown, ore-containing dye. It is known that pieces of two metallizable dyes of different constitution can be chromed in such a way that complex chromium compounds are formed that contain both dyes bound to one and the same chromium atom in the same complex molecule. So sulfonic acid group-containing nemischte chromium complexes of metallizable azo dyes are described, which pull on wool from a strongly acidic bath.
But there are also sulfonic acid group-free mixed ehrom complexes of metallizable Parb- @toffen known that are used as varnish dyes ver. In all previously known processes for the creation of

in which R NII @ or CH3 R1 Il,
CH? or chlorine and ss mean a lower aliphatic asylum radical and in which the phenyl radical A has the substituents customary in dye chemistry but not water-solubilizing such as mixed chromium complex compounds of metallizable dyes, it is a combination of such dyes which, as complex chromium compounds, have the same or very similar shades, For example, navy blue with navy blue or black, black with black, orange with red, etc.
It has now surprisingly been found that when chromating the mixtures of equimolecular amounts of orange azo dyes of the general formula I as chromium complexes with gray azo dyes of the general formula II as chromium complexes
EMI0001.0036
Can carry sulfonic acid or carboxyl groups, water-soluble, mixed Chromkom plexes can be obtained that dye the wool in dark brown shades.
As diazo components for the dyes of the general formulas I and TI which can be used in accordance with the invention, for. B. in question: 2-aminophenol-4-methylsulfone, 2-aminophenol-4-sulfonic acid amide, 6-chloro-2-aminophenol-4-methy lsulfon and 6-Clilor-2-aminophenol-4-sulfonic acid amide, etc., where the from \? - ') - 4-methylsnlfoiien on built dyes have a better drawability gene from neutral dyebaths.
The drawability on wool is increased by a chlorine atom in the 6-position of 2-aminophenol-4-methylsulfone or 2-aminophenol-4-sulfonsäitreamids.
For the synthesis of the dyes of the general formula I, for example, the following coupling components are suitable: 1-phenyl-3-niethyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (3'-chlorophenyl.) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1 -. (4'-bromoplienyl) - 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-methyl-phenyl) - 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-nit.rophenyl) - 3- niethyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (2 ', 5'-dichlorophenyl) -3-niethyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (3', 4'-diehlophenyl)
- 3-metli51-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-methoxyplieny l) - 3-methy-l-5-pyrazolone, etc. Those pyrazolones which are substituted by halogen atoms lead to mixed complexes with increased neutral drawability .
For the structure of the dyes of the general formula II come as coupling components in question, for example: acetyl, propionyl, methoxyacetyl, carbomethoxy, 1lethoxycarbäthoxy-amino-naphthol- (1,7) etc. Here goes the increase in the neutral draw assets approximately parallel to the increase in the molecular weight of the acyl radical.
Azo dyes of the general formulas I and II whose diazo components are identical or different can be combined in the process according to the invention.
Particularly valuable combinations that pull well from a neutral dyebath are obtained if 2-aminophenol-4-methylsulfone is used as the diazo component in both dye components and 1-carbalkoxyamino-7-oxynaphthaline is used as the coupling components lower alkyl radical, preferably an INIethyl group,
1-plienyl-3-nietliyl-5-pyrazolones which are optionally substituted in the benzene ring can be selected in the acyl radical and optionally in the benzene ring.
Normal and complex salts and flydroxides of trivalent chromium such as chromium acetate, chromium formate, hiatal salicylato-cliromate, ammonium salicylato-chromate are suitable as chromizing agents. Chromating agents that can metallize in an alkaline or neutral medium are particularly suitable,
like in particular the alkali salts of chromium salicylic acid. The chromating can be carried out by conventional methods, openly or under pressure, in aqueous solution or suspension, or in the presence of salts or of inert organic solvents. or run solubilizers, the chromating agents being used in such amounts that there are at least 1 atom of uroin per two molecules of metallizable azo dye. not applicable.
Apart from the valuable hue of the new complex chromium compounds, which has not previously been achieved by the metallic chromium plating of metalizable azoi substances, the new dyes according to the invention differ from the well-known mix complexes in their high affinity for wool.
Even from neutral or weakly acidic dye baths, they produce strong and full wool dyeing. This is characterized by excellent love elitism and by very good waseli, fulled and sea water fastness. A particularly important advantage of the new, mixed chromium complex compounds is that they evenly dye the tips and roots of the individual wool hairs.
In those cases where the water solubility of the mixed chromium complex compounds according to the invention is not sufficient for textile dyeing by customary methods, it can be improved by adding alkali phosphates or carbonates or wetting or dispersing agents.
The inventive Ehrom-containing azo dyes are not only suitable for dyeing wool but, thanks to their good drawability from neutral to weakly acidic dyebath, also for dyeing silk, and also for dyeing synthetic poly amide or polyurethane fibers such as nylon, perlon or saran and leather .
The mixed complexes according to the invention behave differently in terms of color than mechanical mixtures of the chromium complexes of the individual components. Mechanical mixture

Treated with chromium-releasing agents in such a way that there is at least 1 atom of chromium for every 2 molecules of azo dye.
The new, mixed chromium complex compound obtained is a black powder that dissolves in hot water with a brewed color and dyes the wool from neutral wool in deep brown tones. Example: 18.7 parts of 2-aminophenol-4-rnetltylsulfon®r ground in 150 parts of water with 17 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid, cooled to 5 and with the occasional addition of ice with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite 100% (as 331 ) roz. Solution). To.
The end of the diazotization is made just neutral by adding sodium hydrogen carbonate, 3 parts of sodium hydrogen carbonate are then added and a solution of 22 parts of 1- (3'-chlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-py- razolon in 300 parts of water and 10.5 parts by volume of 10N sodium hydroxide solution.
The mixture is stirred without cooling until the coupling is complete, heated to 60 and the precipitated dye (dye I) is filtered off. 18.7 parts of 2-atnino-phenol-4-methylsulfone will have the disadvantage of dyeing the wool dichroically, which is not the case with the mixed complexes.
The present patent is now a process for the production of a brown, chromium-containing dye. The process is characterized in that one mixes equimolecular amounts of the azo colorants
EMI0003.0047
diazotized above and neutralized with sodium hydrogen carbonate.
The diazo compound is poured at 0 to 3 into a solution of 22.8 parts of carbomethoxy amino naphthol- (1.7) in 250 parts of water, 10.5 parts by volume of 10N sodium hydroxide solution and 15 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate. The coupling ends after a few hours. The mixture is heated to 70, the dye, which has partially dissolved, precipitates by adding sodium chloride and it is filtered off (dye II). .
42.9 parts of the monosodium salt of the dye I and 43.7 parts of the monosodium salt of the dye II are stirred together in 2000 parts of water. Then 220 parts of a solution of chromsalicylic acid ammonium (corresponding to 5.7 parts of Cr) are added and the mixture is heated to the boil for 5 hours. A brown-black oil separates out and solidifies in a crystalline manner when it cools. It is filtered off and dried.
The new dye represents. a black powder that dissolves in hot water with a brown color and dyes the wool from neutral bath in deep brown shades of very high lightfastness, very good fastness to washing, fulling and seawater.
