Description
Optical device for plastic image conveyance. The present invention is an optical device for plastic image mediation with which, for example, ordinary images and photographs with a plastic effect and stereo images are fully perceived plastic.
According to the invention, this is achieved by means of at least one ground prismatic body made of a transparent material.
Two exemplary embodiments of the device according to the invention are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the cross sections of which have the shape of an obtuse triangle (Fug. 1) or a rhombus (Fug. 2). The surfaces F of the body A are ground.
The prismatic body A can also consist of two parts which, when joined together, result in the body with the aforementioned cross-sections (Fug. 3 and 4).
If an image or an object B is viewed through such a prismatic body A by bringing the prismatic body A directly up to the eyes, the image or the object B is seen twice as B 'and BR side by side due to the refraction of the rays ( Fug. 5).
If you change the distance between the eyes and the prismatic body A by moving the latter forwards or backwards, the two images B 'and BR merge at a certain point into a single, now enlarged and with a plastic effect perceived image B 2 (fug. 6).
_ If stereo images are used in the same way of viewing, the partial images of which have been swapped (left partial image on the right, right partial image on the left), a completely three-dimensional image is now perceived.
An increased effect is achieved if, as shown in FIG. 7, two glasses L are attached in front of the prismatic body A. By using several prismatic bodies A, which are arranged one behind the other in the viewing direction, and using a pair of lenses, the combinations shown in FIG. 8 can be created, for example.
The optical device described is suitable for viewing images in small and large format, for example also for projected images in large format, and is mainly intended for stereo double images. She is for single as well. applicable for simultaneous collective considerations.
