Elektrischer Stecker.
Electrical plug. The present invention relates to an electrical connector which has contact pins which are movable with respect to the insulating body. The invention is characterized in that the contact pins are pressed by spring means built into the insulating body from their working position, in which their protruding ends run parallel to one another, into a position in which they are at an angle to one another in their common plane. Metal springs or rubber-elastic bodies can be used as the spring means. The spring means can press the outer ends of the contact pins against each other or apart.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the invention is shown.
Fig. 1 shows a view of the plug, with one half of the insulating body formed as usual from two identical parts is removed, and Fig.2 shows a cross section through the plug along the line II-II in Fig.1.
The connector pins 1 consist of the con tact pin 1a and a cylindrical clamping piece 1b, which has an axial hole for receiving the supplied cable core and a radial hole for inserting the clamping screw. At the rear, the clamping piece carries a lever arm 1c which forms an extension.
The connector pins are pivotably mounted in the insulating body 2 in such a way that they are transverse to the axis in one direction between the surfaces 2a and in the other, the pivoting direction, between the ribs 2c extending across the common plane of the connector pin axes of the insulating body are held with some play, the axis of the protruding head of the clamping screw 3 projecting into a bore 2b of the insulating body serving as the axis of rotation or as a bearing part. This axis of rotation is transverse to the common plane of the connector pin axes.
In the recess 2d ge curved leaf springs 4 are inserted, which act on the inner ends of the lever 1c of the connector pins 1, so that the latter are inclined against each other in the drawn rest position. The inclination is expediently limited by suitable selection of the size of the holes from which the contact pins la are led out. 2e is the hole for receiving the screw for holding the two parts of the insulating body together. With 5 is the connected cable. denoted by the wires 5a and 5b.
When inserting the contact pins la into the parallel, stationary counter contacts of the socket, the first ren are pressed apart against the force of the leaf springs 4, which deform in the process, and then assume the working position indicated by dash-dotted lines, in which they are parallel to one another . In this position, the contact pins exert a pressure on the mating contacts in the direction transverse to their axis.
In this way, a permanently secure contact is made possible, and it is also possible to achieve higher contact pressures than were previously possible with slotted contact pins or fe-reducing counter-contacts of conventional design.
