Longitudinally slotted electrical connector pin For electrical connectors,
that consists of a cylindrical contact pin with a handle for the movable cable end

good current transfer, the largest possible contact area with high surface pressure
exist. In most plugs, the plug pin is therefore provided with a longitudinal slot
Mistake. The resulting elastic spring effect should both

Fatigue of the material is reduced. The well-known auxiliary means, the thighs
Spreading it apart with a knife after prolonged use is unsuccessful if
the original elasticity has been lost through fatigue. One tried
to counteract this disadvantage that the plug legs at their free end

be pressed. However, this type of construction is expensive and ensures adequate
Contact only in the immediate vicinity of the thorn.
The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. According to the invention
becomes a. substantially rod-shaped expansion element of preferably circular
or triangular cross-section that is parallel and eccentric to the axis of the
longitudinally slotted plug pin in. This let in over its entire contact length
is and therefore the two pin legs in contrast to the previous versions
first, not just at the end, but along its entire length, and second, not through
Bending, but spreading apart by torsion.
The basics
the invention is shown in Fig. i. The plug pin a is in the usual way
fastened in a handle b made of insulating material. The free end of the connector pin
a, which is inserted into the usual connector sleeve, not shown, is with a
parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pin extending cylindrical recess e and
a longitudinal slot d producing two symmetrical plug pin legs.
In the recess c a cylindrical expansion element e is inserted and with the
Plug pin a loosely connected by a small pin f. Is the diameter of the
Plug pin a is slightly larger than the bore of the plug sleeve, so the two
When plugging into the connector sleeve, the connector pin leg is twisted in such a way that it
in their lower part with a corresponding narrowing of the slot d each other
approach. The expansion element e works similarly to the expansion element in an inner shoe brake:
The two plug legs are therefore not as with the usual slotted connector pins
stressed on bending, but on torsion: The torsional stress has the
Advantages that they are less than the bending stress with the same elastic expansion
is. In addition, the two connector pin legs. over the full length of the expansion element
and not, as in the case of the expansion of the bends, only pressed against the sleeve at the end. From both
it follows that the risk of fatigue is lower and the contact between the connector pin and
Sleeve is improved.
a hinaus.
Abb. i der Längsschlitz d des Steckerstiftes a unten verengt, während
Stift f, also
senkrecht zur Steckerstiftachse, frei bewegen kann.In the embodiment according to Fig.2, the individual parts of Fig. I are essentially taken over, only that the recess c and the expansion element e now have an essentially triangular cross-section. Before the plug pin is inserted into the plug sleeve, the expansion element e protrudes slightly beyond the circular plug pin a. When the pin is inserted, the longitudinal slot d of the plug pin a is narrowed at the bottom as in the embodiment according to Fig. I, while at the same time the plug pin halves are held apart by the wedge-shaped expansion element e in their upper part. The expansion element e is held in the plug pin a by a pin f, in such a way that it is. axial to. Pin f, so perpendicular to the pin axis, can move freely.
auseinanderspreizt.Another embodiment is shown in Fig. 3. The switched off
State only slightly protruding beyond the pin circumference spreading elements e and
the recess c are in longitudinal section in. Direction of the handle b with a
Taper. The expansion element e is when the plug pin is inserted
a in the connector sleeve, not shown, in the recess c against the pressure of a
Spring g shifted to the right, with the expansion element e the plug pin leg
spreads apart.
With very large pin diameters, the elasticity
also increase by turning the connector pin as shown in Fig. q. with an additional
Longitudinal slot h perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the expansion element e and eccentric
to the pin axis.
