Description
Plug contact for electric newspapers. The subject of the present invention is a plug contact for electrical lines.
For a well-conducting contact connection, it is necessary that enough contact surfaces come into intimate contact between the contact socket and pin, with the two contact parts sliding apart as softly as possible is desired when the contact is interrupted.
In order to meet these two opposing requirements, the contact pins of the known plug-in contacts are slotted and spread, so that they are intimately applied to the inner walls when inserted into the contact sleeves by spring action, or there are movable springs for the same purpose . built into the contact pins. In the first-mentioned type, with slotted and spread contact pins, signs of fatigue occur very quickly with heavy use.
In addition, experience has shown that when there are signs of fatigue in the material, users of the plug-in contacts endeavor to achieve a stronger spring effect by spreading them further, as a result of the strain on the material beyond its already lying down Elastic limit, usually spoiled forever.
The second-mentioned type is disadvantaged because the installation of springs in the usually very small cross-section con tact pins makes these more expensive and unnecessarily complicated; In addition, because of the weakening of the cross section, only low currents can be transmitted; the strength is also impaired.
According to the present invention, the contact socket of the plug-in contact is composed of several parts which hold a resilient contact element enclosing the contact pin between them. Such a contact socket allows the use of solid contact pins. This is seen as a significant advantage over what already exists.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the subject matter of the invention are given again, and it shows: Fig. 1: a section through a contact socket for low currents when the contact pin is drawn, Fig. 2 the same with the contact pin inserted into the contact socket, Fig. 3 is a section through a contact socket for larger currents.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, the contact socket consists of the two parts 1 and 2 screwed together. The part 1 has, in addition to the drilling 3 for the contact pin 4, a cylindrical recess 5 for receiving a contact element., In: this case a z, y-cylinder helical spring 6.
Is this between the shoulders? and 8 of parts 1 and 2 held. The inner diameter of the zy-cylindrical coil spring 6 is slightly smaller than the bore 3 of the Kontaktbiiehse. When the contact pin 4 is inserted, the cylindrical helical spring 6 is accordingly pressed apart radially. The contact pressure of the cylindrical. Helical spring 6 on the contact pin 4 ensures the intimate contact required for the passage of current between these two parts.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the contact socket consists of the two parts 9 and 10. The contact element, in this case a resilient metal chain 11 provided with longitudinal slots, has. at its one end a bent, flange-like edge 12 - which is clamped between the two parts 9 and 10 and thereby secured against axial displacement; In addition, the intimate contact necessary for the passage of current between the parts 9, 10 and 11 is ensured.
The bore of the metal sleeve 11 is slightly smaller than the diameter of the contact pin. When it is inserted into the contact socket, the metal sleeve 11 is expanded concentrically. The opposing counteracting this expansion stood the slotted elastic metal sleeve 11 causes the intimate contact required for the passage of current between this and the contact pins.
