4, a etb).
Denicotinizing cartridge. The invention resides in an improvement of the denicotinizing cartridge, intended to to be interposed in the pipes of pipes, cigarette holders and the like, which is the subject of the main patent.
The cartridge claimed in said patent is formed by a hollow cylindrical body, containing a denicotinizing material, closed by two perforated covers, at least one of which constitutes a separate part of the cylindrical body while being fixed to the latter, said body and said lids being made of a transparent plastic material. The cartridge according to the present invention is characterized in that the two covers are differently perforated.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by by way of example, several embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 represents an eartouch in longitudinal section.
Figs. 2, 3 and 4. show in a the entry cover and in b the exit cover of three different embodiments of the key.
This cartridge is formed of a cy- lindrique 1 body having a perforated bottom 2, the body and the bottom preferably coming from the same molding operation. The bottom has perforations, 3. The case thus produced is filled with denicotinizing material 4. After filling, a cover 5 also presents perforations 3 is fitted and glued into the open end of the case. The two covers that the keycap presents, that is to say the operable 5 and the base 2, are perforated differently, in order to take account of the modifications occurring in the fumes passing through the cartridge and unloading of harmful materials.
This difference in perforations reinforces the denicotinizing action of the cartridge by favoring the entry of smoke, but by creating at the exit a certain pressure drop at its flow. . This goal can be achieved in three distinct ways.
One can either provide perforations in the lids, of the same elm and of the same dimensions, but in different numbers, that is to say in greater number at the entry that when the smoke comes out of the cartridge (fig. 2, a and b), either provide perforations in the two lids, of different dimensions (fig. < B> 3, a and b), or again perforations of a different shape (fig. 4, a and b).
In the second case, even if the section of passage of smoke at the inlet and at the outlet were the same, the pressure drop being larger for the perforations of small dimensions than for those of large dimensions, it would suffice to provide perforations of larger dimensions in the inlet cover than in the outlet one for the desired effect to be achieved. However, it is well understood that in order to further increase the difference in pressure drop between the inlet and the outlet of the smoke from the cartridge, the total section of passage to the entrance can be chosen larger than the exit.
The shape of the perforations can be any conch, for example circular, oval, poly gonal, star or even of arcuate shape as to in fig. 4.
In addition, it is possible to choose as entry cover for the fuunée in the eartouch either the cover 5, or the bottom 2.
