Klappstuhl.
Folding chair. The invention relates to a folding chair with fabric covering and with a backrest that can be pivoted on the seat.
The previously known folding chairs of this type are usually built up from two equally sized, closed frames that cannot be folded up. To adjust the backrest with respect to the seat, the frame connecting rods are usually complicated net angeord, which have the effect of scissors when opening or closing the folding chair, in which objects of all kinds easily get stuck. The operator's fingers can also be pinched and injured.
Furthermore, the individual parts are usually welded, soldered or riveted together, so that the folding chair cannot be dismantled.
The present invention enables these disadvantages to be remedied with a corresponding design of the folding chair.
The folding chair according to the invention is characterized in that its backrest can be locked in several positions by means of at least one snap device.
In the figures of the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown, namely Fig.l shows a side view, Fig.2 shows the snap device on a larger scale, Fig.3 part of an elevation. The seat frame 1 and he frame 2 of the backrest of the folding chair are U-shaped and rotatably verbun with each other, so that they can be folded together when the chair is to be folded together.
At the front end of the chair, the foldable foot frame 3 is rotatably attached to the frame 1 by means of screws 7 'and at the other end of the foot frame 4 so that they can be folded over onto the seat frame 1 in the direction of the arrows shown in FIG. When using the folding chair, the two foot frames 3 and 4 rest against not shown stops, so that they do not collapse when the chair is loaded, since they are then slightly crooked.
On the seat frame 1, the sheet metal sectors 5 are attached, which are provided with holes 6 lying on an arc.
Extensions 8 of the frame 2 carry at their free end a Schnappvorrich device 9 with a pin that can engage in one of the holes 6 in the \ positions of the backrest correspond. To adjust the backrest you can, without getting up from the chair, pull on a button on the snap device 9, which temporarily removes the blocking to bring the backrest into a different position.
The sector 5 with the snap device could also be attached to only one side of the chair. In the rearmost position, the back rest is held by the stop 10, which is formed by bending part of the sector 5.
The two legs of the [) frame 1, 2 and 4 are rotatably connected to each other by screws 7, which are in the axis P is.
A bracket 11 is attached to the axis P and has a web 12 parallel to the pivot axis at a distance a.
The web of fabric 13, which is fastened to the webs 14 and 15 of the frames 1 and 2, is guided over the web 12 of the bracket 11. When the backrest 2 is set up, the fabric web is more and more tensioned, while it becomes loose when the chair is folded up. This ensures that the backrest is comfortable to sit in in every position of use.
The drawn folding chair does not have the aforementioned shortcomings of known folding chairs because there are no linkages that have the effect of scissors. Since the individual parts are screwed together, the folding chair can be easily dismantled.
The frame and feet are preferably made of nickel-plated steel tubes so that they do not rust.
