Mundstück zum Absaugen des Speichels bei zahnärztlicher Behandlung.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Mundstück zum Absaugen des Speichels bei zahnärztlicher Behandlung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das NIundstück mindestens einen elastischen Sehlaueh und ein biegsames Halteelement aufweist, wobei der Schlauch zum Absaugen von Speichel und darin mitgeführtem festem Alaterial dient, während das biegsame, jedoch steife Halteelement erlaubt, dem Mund- stück die gewünsehte Form durch einfaehes Umbiegen wu geben.
Im folgenden werden zwei beispielsweise Ausführungsformen des Erfindungsgegenstan- des näher besehrieben.
Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht und teilweiser Schnitt des gesamten Mundstüekes.
Fig. 2 ist eine Seitenansicht und teilweiser Schnitt entsprechend der Fig. 1. Die Schlauch- Öffnungen liegen dabei dem Draufbliekenden zugewandt.
Fig. 3 ist ein Quersehnitt entsprechend der Linie B-B in der Fig. 1 dureh einen Schlauch mit zwei Kanälen.
Fig. 4 ist ein Querschnitt entsprechend der Linie in der Fig. 1 und zeigt das am festen Ansatz befestigte Drahtsieb.
Fig. 5 ist eine Seitenansicht der zwei- ten Ausführungsform mit einem armierten Sehlaueh.
Fig. 6 ist ein Quersehnitt durch den armierten Schlaueh.
Auf einem festen Ansatz ist der mit zwei Kanälen 2 und 2a versehene, elastische Sehlauch mit dem Kanal 2 aufgestülpt. Der Kanal 2 ist zur Aufnahme eines biegsamen, jedoch steifen Kupferdrahtes 3 bestimmt. Zur Befestigung dieses Kupferdrahtes am festen Ansatz 1 weist der erstere ein winklig abgebogenes Endstüek 3a auf, welches in eine Öffnung des festen Ansatzes eingreift und dort auf einem. Einsatz 5 zum Aufliegen kommt, während gleichzeitig ein leichter Fe derdruck einer am Ansatz 1 an der Stelle 8 angelöteten Büehse 4 den Draht in der Off nung zurückhält. Der Kupferdraht findet in der Büchse 4 eine Fiihrung und Befestigung.
Durch leichtes Abheben des untern Teils dieser Büchse 4 entgegen der Federwirkung wird der Abstand zwischen der Büchsenöffomg und dem Ansatz gerade genügend gross, um den Kupferdraht von unten einzuschieben und hierauf in die Öffnung am Ansatz einschnappen zu lassen. Der obere Teil des Kupferdra. htes 3 ist dabei in den Kanal 2a des Schlauches eingesetzt und erstreckt sich an nähernd über die ganze Länge des biegsamen Mundstüekteils Dureh Biegen des Kupfer- drahtes kann dem Mundstück die jeweils ge wünschte Gebrauchsform gegeben werden.
Darauf wird das Mundstüek an die Wasser strahlpumpe angeschlossen, um gebrauchsbe- reit zu sein. Es kann hierauf, den jeweiligen Bedürfnissen entsprechend, leicht und nur mit einer Hand zurechtgebogen werden.
Der Kanal 2 des elastisehen Schlauches dient zum Ansaugen des Speichels und allfälligen, mitgeführten festen Materials. Der Kanal 2a des elastisehen Selllauehes dient zur Luftzufuhr und zur Aufnahme des Kup- ferdrahtes, wobei die metallischen Teile all- seitig durch die Schlauchwandungen gedeckt sind. Auf diese Weise befinden sieh im Mund keinerlei metallische Teile, die zu Verletzungen oder unangenehmem Klemmen führen könnten.
Der. Schlauch besteht aus einem elastischen luftdichten Stoff. Der elastische Schlauch kann zudem armiert sein, wie in Fig. 5 und 6 beispielsweise dargestellt, wobei die Armierung das Halteelement bildet.
Um die grosseren Teile des vom Speichel mitgeführten, festen Materials an einem Eindringen in die Saugleitung zu verhindern, ist am vordern Ende des festen Ansatzes, über welches der Kanal 2 des Absaugschlauches gestülpt wird, ein Drahtsieb 6 angebracht.
An Stelle einer besonderen Luftzufuhr kann auch ein Ventil im Absaugkanal angebracht sein, welches den Saugdruck vermindert, sobald das Mundstück beginnt, sich im Mund des Patienten festzusaugen.
Die beschriebene Ausführungsform weist eine Öffnung 7 auf, welche die Verbindvmg zwischen dem Aussendruck, der im Kanal 2a herrscht, und dem Unterdruck im Kanal 2 herstellt. Dadureh wird das Ansaugen der Zunge verhindert.
Das beschriebene Mundstück besitzt gegen über bisher bekannten Speichelziehern den Vorteil, dass die Form des Mundstückes stets und mit nur einer Hand den Bedürfnissen der zahnärztlichen Behandlung angepasst werden kann. Im weiteren besitzt dieses Mundstüek keine festen Teile, die sich ansaugen und dadurch ein Klemmen oder gar Verletzungen hervorrufen. Das Halteelement, das der Versteifung und Festhaltung in einer be stimmten Form dient, kann bei der Ausfüh rungsform nach Fig. 1 bis 4 jederzeit leicht ausgewechselt und gereinigt werden.

The elastic tube with channel 2, which is provided with two channels 2 and 2a, is turned up on a solid attachment. The channel 2 is intended to accommodate a flexible but stiff copper wire 3. The channel 2 of the elastic tube is used to suck in the saliva and any solid material that may be carried along. The channel 2a of the elastic Selllauehes serves to supply air and to receive the copper wire, the metallic parts being covered on all sides by the hose walls. This way, there are no metallic parts in the mouth that could lead to injuries or uncomfortable clamping.

The embodiment described has an opening 7 which establishes the connection between the external pressure prevailing in channel 2 a and the negative pressure in channel 2. This prevents the tongue from being sucked in.
The described mouthpiece has the advantage over previously known saliva ejectors that the shape of the mouthpiece can always be adapted to the needs of the dental treatment with just one hand. Furthermore, this mouthpiece has no fixed parts that suck in and thereby cause jamming or even injuries. The holding element, which is used to stiffen and hold in a certain shape, can be easily replaced and cleaned in the Ausfüh approximate form according to FIGS. 1 to 4 at any time.
