Equipment on steam boilers for continuous automatic emptying of sludge from them. The present invention relates to. A set of steam boilers for continuous automatic emptying of sludge from them.
When using a circulating sludge ejector for the continuous automatic emptying of sludge from steam boilers and heating pans for liquids, it has been found to be worthwhile to provide a flow line with a vertical pipe which is connected by a pipe in order to avoid pipes running through the boiler Steam chamber is surrounded, which is fed in its upper part above the KeSSel water level with boiler steam through a pipe and at its lower end with.
another pipe is provided so that the condensate can be drained.
In order to achieve a satisfactory operation, it is necessary that valves for measuring the steam inflow and the drainage of condensate are carefully adjusted; Such adjustments may be necessary from time to time, according to the various circumstances that may arise during operation. -If the valves are not set correctly, the whole supply line is not satisfactory.
The purpose of the present invention is to take measures by which a setting of valves can be avoided. The present invention is characterized by a qclilamin e; icector which is built into a by-pass. is, which starts from the water space of the boiler and has an upwardly extending part heated by a steam jacket, the lower end of the steam jacket being connected to the boiler by a downwardly extending pipe opening above the water level, such that the jacket is constantly fed with steam from the boiler, while water condensate can flow back into the boiler.
In the accompanying drawing, a schematic and purely exemplary embodiment of the device is shown. in application to a Lancashire-type boiler, although the invention is equally applicable. to other types of boilers, such as vertical boilers, water tube boilers, smoke tube locomotive boilers, marine or other types of boilers.
In the drawing, 1 means the kettle, the streaked line? the water level, 3 the pipe that leads from the boiler bottom either near the front or down, so that it collects the sludge near the boiler bottom. The pipe 3 is initially horizontal, increases. then vertically upwards and then look downwards with a constant gradient to the side of a circulation sludge ejector 4 z. B. of the kind as it is in the British patent office 1Vr. 305977 be written.
The circuit is completed by a pipe 5 which extends from the right-hand side of the sludge ejector 4 to the boiler 1 in order to open somewhat above the boiler bottom and preferably above the sludge.
The circulation line could, however, also start from the upper part of the water space in order to be able to remove light mud and foam floating on the water.
The vertical part of the @ bypass line 3 is. surrounded by a jacket 6 which is suitably divided into two compartments, the lower part 7 is filled in a suitable manner with insulating mass, such as. B. asbestos, glass wool or similar material, while the upper part 8 forms a space for the introduction of steam from the top of the boiler 1 through the pipe 9 through. This pipe is connected to the boiler above the water level 2 and rises obliquely upwards to the bottom of the compartment 8 of the Mantes 6.
As a result of this arrangement, the space 8 is filled with steam of the same pressure and approximately the same temperature as the steam above the boiler water and thereby causes the water with the sludge to circulate through the circulation line, including the sehlam ejector. Steam condensate that wants to accumulate at the bottom of the chamber 8, where it is effectively sealed against the chamber 7, flows through the pipe 9 through back to the boiler. This type of heating means that the temperature is never excessively high, so that no steam bubbles are generated in the circulation pipe 3, but on the other hand, the water and the sludge circulate properly.
It goes without saying that the pipes and the jacket are suitably insulated from the lift.
While a preferred embodiment of the subject invention is described by the foregoing, it is understood that changes in constructional details can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It can e.g. B. found to be desirable who to increase the height of the tube 3, which heat is supplied.
This can be done by extending the pipe 3 and the jacket upwards or by forming the pipe 3 to form the coiled tubing (spiral), or by leading it horizontally, for example, to the greater part, but with an ascending intermediate section where it comes from the man tel is enclosed, or by the steam jacket 8 in adaptation to the curvature of the tube 3 at its highest point it sums up. Further, it may be found to be desirable to surround the tube 3, where it is described as being surrounded by insulating material, within the chamber 7 with a conductive material such as copper. Other means of increasing the heating possibilities may e.g. B. concern the use of double or multiple tubes instead of a single tube 3.
The pipe 9 described is a single pipe through which steam in a Rielitung and _Vasserdampfkondensat can flow in the opposite direction. It may be desirable to see a thin inner tube that extends from the lower part of the chamber 8 through the tube 9 under the What serspiegel? extends so that while steam can flow freely from the boiler to your jacket in one direction, namely in the pipe 9 between the inner pipe wall 9 and the inner small pipe, the condensate can flow on an un dependent path through the inner pipe to back to the boiler water.
Alternatively, it can of course also be desirable to use special pipes, especially if there is only a weak stiew in the steam jacket.
