Elektrischer Rasierapparat.
Fig. 4 veranschaulicht einen solchen im Auf riss.
Electric shaver. The present invention relates to an electric shaver of the type. In which a cutting tool provided with a knife or a plurality of knives by means of a power drive, for example an electric motor of miniature format with the interposition of the rotation of the motor shaft in back and forth Movement transforming mechanism on a perforated guide member, for example a comb or plate,
is moved past. It can have a circular design and be rotatably coupled directly to the motor shaft, which rotates close under a circular or ring-shaped comb or a plate with perforations arranged in a circle.
There is a large number of such razors of various designs known, so that a detailed description of the same is unnecessary. Mentioned. just for the sake of completeness is a well-known construction, which is only built for alternating current and instead of the rotating motor with an electromagnet. Swing armature is used, through which the cutting tool is actuated directly in a reciprocating motion. becomes.
Opinions are extremely divided on the advantages and disadvantages of modern electric razors. On the one hand, the use of an electric razor saves time-consuming and annoying lathering and the purchase of accessories such as beer soap and brushes. Furthermore, the possibility of cutting yourself while shaving is completely disabled with the electrical appliances. The skin of the face is also not irritated like when scraping off the whiskers with a razor or razor blade.
Despite these weighty advantages, the use of electric razors has not yet become fully established and the majority of razors still use dangerous razors or, for the most part, razors with replaceable blades, so-called safety razors. An in-depth examination of the causes of the low prevalence of electrical appliances so far shows that, in addition to their advantages mentioned, there are a number of disadvantages that are currently present. could not yet be eliminated.
The main flaw of these devices is probably the low work performance compared to the old razors. Cutting is much slower with the electric devices than with the razor or razor blade. In order to at least partially remedy this deficiency, one has recently resorted to your means of increasing the number of optical cutting heads on the apparatus by going from one cutting head to four cutting heads.
Despite these improvements it is. it has so far not been possible to achieve a cutting speed even close to that of the old razors. Another disadvantage is the poor shaving effect. The razor cuts the whiskers close to the skin and leaves a completely smooth skin with a clean shave. To achieve this result, none of the known electrical apparatus has succeeded so far, since the thickness of the comb or the perforated plate lying between the skin and the knife, however small it may be, prevents a smooth cut off of the whiskers.
The electric razors therefore initially have two major disadvantages: they work slowly and the quality of the work they do is poor. A third disadvantage is common to the electrical devices and the old shaving tools: you need both hands to shave, one to hold and steer the device, the other to tighten the skin.
The invention now aims to at least largely reduce both the first-mentioned disadvantages of the electrical Ap parate as well as the third disadvantage, wel chen the same with the razors and Ra siergeräte with replaceable blades.
The invention consists in that the cutting tool and the same surrounding zone are located within a cavity open to the cutting plane, which is in communication with means for generating a negative pressure in the same, for the purpose of exerting a suction effect on the coated skin surface. This suction effect enables the skin to be raised or pressed into the openings in the guide element, for example the comb or the perforated plate.
This causes a gentle pressing of the Appa rate head against the IIatite surface, the latter being taut in the cutting zone; the cutting tools cause the whiskers to be cut off just above the same, whereby a tensioning of the facial skin with the help of one hand is unnecessary, so that it is sufficient to hold the device with one hand and to steer it over the hatit area to be raided.
Furthermore, with sufficient suction force, the suction exerted on the hair roots directs the beard hairs vertically above the skin surface so that they do not evade the cutting tools, as is often the case with known devices.
The suction in the vicinity of the cutting head of the electric razor can be produced by any of the means known per se in the art. For example, practically any air pump is suitable for the purpose in question, provided that its use is only suitable under the smallest dimensions offered by electric razors.
The attached drawings that supplement this description are only intended to illustrate some practical embodiments of electric razors according to the inven tion, but by no means limit the invention to the forms shown.
In general, there is the possibility of any device used to generate negative pressure from a - preferably flexible - pipe or hose line to a sheath surrounding the cutting head, which has an edge zone around the cutting head in which the negative pressure can be seen can affect.
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows an electric shaver 1 of known design in double wedge shape, the end of which the cutting head 2 carrying is surrounded by a sheath 3, for example made of elastic material, such as rubber, which tightly encloses this end and only around the cutting head 2 is open around, where it has an approximately flat, rectangular opening 4 with the surface of the cutting head 2. In the schematic Schnittzeich voltage according to FIG. 1a it is shown how the sheath 3 itself tightly and airtightly on the end of the razor 1 is present, with.
Except for the end bearing the opening 4, which protrudes around the cutting head 2, so that a ring-shaped, rectangular cavity 5 is created between this end and the cutting head 2. This cavity 5 is connected to a pipe socket 7 by a channel 6 , which the latter is connected to a hose 8.
The hose 8 is with. its other end to the suction pipe of a Wasserstrahlpiunpe be known construction 9 connected. The pump 9 is also attached to the water supply tap 10 of a wash basin in a manner known per se, and when the water flows out of the open tap 10, an air-poor space is created in the pump 9, the suction effect of which through the hose 8, -the connector 7 and Channel 6 into which the cutting head 2 of the shaver surrounds the cavity 5 and now the facial skin 11 of the razor (see Fig. La)
sucks in fairly tightly and thus has the intended effect as described above.
Of course, other means of creating a vacuum can also be used.
Fig.2 and Fig.2a illustrate a second embodiment of the inven tion concept. In this case, the drive motor 12 in the shaving apparatus 1 itself can be used to generate a vacuum. Its with. the mechanism not shown for converting the rotating into a reciprocating movement coupled shaft 13 carries the rotor of a centrifugal fan 14, which is rotatably mounted in a housing with the diffuser 15 and in the middle (see arrows e1) the cavity 16 air.
through the cutting head 2 sucks. The latter is preferably surrounded by a wall 17 in order to avoid lateral penetration of air and to concentrate the suction effect on the area of skin touched by the cutting surface. The extracted air is expelled through suitable openings 18, 18 in the stator housing in the direction of the arrows B shown. FIG. 2a is a section along the line II-II in FIG.
The execution according to Figure 3 illustrates. Instead of the centrifugal blower, two diaphragm pumps 19, 19, the membranes of which are alternately pulled or pressed by an eccentric 20 seated on the drive shaft 13 with the aid of an eccentric ring 21 and rods 22 seated on this.
The cavity 16 and the vacuum or air outlet lines are arranged in a manner similar to that in FIG. 2 and FIG. 2a. Fig. 3a shows the 'arrangement of the diaphragm pumps in a (cutout. Along the line III-III of FIG.
As already indicated earlier, other pumps of any conceivable system can also be used, for example gear pumps, rotary piston pumps and others.
Finally, a third possibility is to use the cutting tool itself as a fan, as a result of which the construction is considerably simplified. This is a possibility given in front of razors with rotating cutting tools. Fig. 4 illustrates such a crack. In the body 1. of the apparatus there is the motor 12, the drive shaft of which is coupled to your cutting tool 2a. The latter rotates with the motor shaft just below the removable cutting head 2 provided with notches or holes.
The cutting tool 2a is arranged in the cavity 16 and is itself hollow. forms -the central part of a turbine wheel 14, the blades of which suck in air centrally by centrifugal force and through the hollow cutting tool 2a and the cutting head 2 and eject it again through the lateral outlet openings 18, 18.
As a result of this suction effect, the skin in the vicinity of the cutting head 2 is pressed firmly against the latter, and in this way a thorough shave in the sense of the inventive idea is made possible.
